  1. $23k LOL CVT LOL I like the styling, but no stick=no care. If I were going to soft-road a Jeep 4-door, it would probably be a used sub-$17k Patriot with 4WD and a manual over the new Cherokee.
  2. Trust me...in corporate America, businesses demand your loyalty but don't pay for it. Just because I'm moving into a higher-paying field doesn't mean my base will raise commensurate with what the market would pay... Like everything in this world: Ya don't get what ya don't ask fer...
  3. I cover most of eastern Ohio and Western PA in my current job and stay busy driving to and fro... I may be looking at a national sales position that will be a lot more market coverage and a LOT more flying... Even within my own company, can I expect to be paid more for the greater responsibilities and travel/market coverage? I'm going to be asking for MO' MONEY fo'sho...just want to hear from sales/consulting professionals that grew their coverage areas and how that affected take-home pay. Thx, CR!

  5. LOL @ phat Paul critiquing from behind a keyboard
  6. Ironically - pointing to Scotty36's post about Naples - that was my bday weekend in Naples and I didn't access CR the whole time. I blame YOU for not thinking of a CR brotatoe first!!! For anyone else...my son's bday is next weekend. Be on the L@@K@UT, plz!
  7. Joe...Joe...JOE!!! Stop having flashbacks!!! Oh, geez...now you got him started... Anyone know "Flippy" from Happy Tree Friends?
  8. Fixed that for ALL OF US. (Though my FINRA registration is expired anyway)
  9. In this economic environment, you're not likely to find anything that pays a decent annual rate of return without taking on risks. As the bond market is coming back, look into 7-day floaters, which as the name implies only locks your $$$ in a backed-and-traded investment for 7 days and pays 2-4%. Put $20k in that. I'd worry about starting another business only because it sounds like you've got a lot of irons in the fire already. Is it worth investing $50k in something that you can't put 100% of the time it needs to get it off the ground successfully? It's a gamble anyway, but a lot of business investments are tax-deductable...a nice perk. I wouldn't buy gold or silver for the short term at all. Do you have any stocks in a brokerage account? Do some options trading...
  10. "Thunderstruck" is ALWAYS a good song as background music to your YooToob vid. Well-edited too...the target was jamming to the dulcet tones of AC/DC in syncopation @ 1:27! TRIGGER PLZ
  11. Don't get a Mazda5. I drove one with a stick, and it was painfully slow with no redeeming value. You'll easily get more minivan for the same amount of dough...
  12. Hey, David...my wife has a 2010 Odyssey and we do love it. If we replaced it with anything, it would be the Ford Flex hands down. That said, I like the VW Roatan because it's a Chrysler minivan with a better interior. If you can get one of the newer ones with the 3.6L Pentastar, you'll have 280+hp on tap. Lastly, I was at Roush Honda last night getting my A12 service done on the Ody and I noticed they had at least 8 2010/2011 Odysseys from $18k-$24k available... I wouldn't mess with any 3-row crossover, like the Highlander, Journey, Sorento, etc...too many compromises in space/efficiency for more money. :thumbdown
  13. Thinking about this a little more...in terms of embarassment in saying I PAID MONEY TO OWN these cars: 1) Mini Cooper S 2) Chevy Sonic RS 3) Suzuki SX4 AWD wagon All are fun little DDs, but I couldn't spend the $$$ to own them myself...
  14. My BMW won't be up in Ohio until end of July
  15. ALLOW ME TO DUPLICATE THE ERECTILE CAPACITY OF THE PERSPIRATION WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE CONTRACEPTION, MY BROTHA...
  16. Money earnin' MT. VERNON!!! Welcome to the site!

  18. Dude...that's not a truck... Looks like the rear wheel from a Cobalt SS.
  19. Pics? The only details I've seen say that police recovered the vehicle in a field and it was "mangled beyond recognition".
  20. 1) 1997 is no "Cleetus". 2) Did you drive it? No wasps came out of the vents? I'm guessing you got a great deal on the truck, because if I was the PO, I'd look into an exterminator to take those bishes out, then I would've said :dumb: to the cost... If you're going to do it yourself, be careful...anything you spray into the cowl will either leave dead wasps or chemicals that you'll be breathing everytime you drive.
  21. FWIW, it's part of the fire rebuild. When I asked West Jeff to quote a higher efficiency unit, he gave me a couple of points that I thought were valid as to why the 80% unit would be fine. I'm not actually paying that OOP, and the quote does include all new ductwork throughout the house, taking it from 4", Asbestos-taped Sofite pipe from 1961 to 6" ductwork. Also new exhaust linings for hot water heater, HVAC. Plastic fire and the petrochemical smoke it makes IS A BISH...
