  1. Expendables is on Netflix, but I've had it on my PS3 almost since it came out. Seen it a dozen times. It's movie junkfood. Will enjoy seeing the E2 when a quality torrent comes out soon
  2. See you guys at HD after 10pm...
  3. I took the kids tonight...my daughter began by bishing about not having ice cream (she's 4 and I promised her some). Ended up getting a balloon poodle, jammed to the music, and found a '66 Impala (The PINK ELEPHANT!!!) that she loved. Great night, great show.
  4. I like the "COME AT ME BRO" humanoid model they use for size reference. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=693&pictureid=6476
  5. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/08/17/2013-fiat-500-turbo-unveiled-with-135-hp-1-4l-multiair-priced-f/ I'm a fan of the Fiat, though I wouldn't buy one new. Definitely liking the details surrounding the 500 Turbo. For 20-somethings looking for a fun, economical car with a ton of character for Chevy Sonic/Hyundai Accent money, you should definitely consider this...
  6. I'm already realizing this thread is worthless without pics. Coming soon... I have an outside shelter for my hot tub. It's a wood frame mounted to a runner against the exterior wall, sloping away - over the tub and concrete pad - that supports 6 long glass panels to act as a transparent roof. Last year, I had one of the 4ftx10ft tempered glass (1/4" thick) panes start sliding down and it shattered into a million little diamonds. Contacted The Glass Doctor and they said they could temper a new glass panel, but it would be over $400 just for the glass, and they would have no recommendations on delivery or who would install it in my situation. These panels can support the weight of a person...big bishes for sure. Over the past year, I've lived with the panel gone, but now two other panels are sliding downwards. I'm confident the winter will cost me another panel or two. In addition, with fall approaching I want to start using my hot tub again. I'd like to take one of the end glass panels and move it in place of the missing panel. However, these are very heavy and already in a precarious, elevated position. Does anyone have glass fitting experience, or know a good glazier that can remove/reinstall large glass panels? I would be more than happy to assist in this process as well...just don't want to make a McSteak that would decapitate someone or shatter another panel. Thanks!
  7. The last 4 years of doing this have shown that summers usually fall off in attendance: vacations, heat, lotta other weekend events. We have had more people this year than in years past for sure, though. Once school gets back into gear, attendance will pop, then fall off in October/November. Such is the season for Cars and Coffee. I've also noticed some of the cloudy/cooler summer mornings bring out the non-CR old guys in full force. We had a drizzly morning that ended up having over 30 cars/people show up. So, to your point it should be a great morning!
  8. I'm going to bring out my camera to take more pics...need to update the website!
  9. THAT'S UNAMURRICAN We're in the "New Normal", bro-jangles. HERPDERP in 2012...
  10. http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net 8am to 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center TELL YOUR FRIENDS, SPREAD THE WORD!!! I'll be there...looking forward to seeing you as well.
  11. Wow. Sucks to hear but glad to hear you're still one for the fight!
  12. You can take this test, and shovel it! As a survivor of a drunk driver rear-ending the very same Passat I still drive today, I am all for safety technology. However, I can also be cynical because I believe we need safer DRIVERS, rather than safer cars.
  13. Have you seen Jim Cantore cover the hurricanes for The Weather Channel??? Mother Nature is one scary bitch, and NOAA meterologists need hollow points for D-Fence.
  14. "Small overlap crash" test? I don't think new cars are safe enough. Let's develop an "IED Explosion" test, or a "Tsunami" test. I hear Volvo is going to employ Wile E. Coyote as a crash test dummy...make sure the "ACME Safe Falling On The Occupants While Driving" test still nets them a 5-star rating. :lolguy:
  15. http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/14/opinion/granderson-romney-likeability/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 I have to agree with LZ in the above article. IMO for Mitt to truly succeed, he needs to stop reminding people how Obama failed us and discuss how he bridged gaps and got stuff done for his constituents, and will do it better than Obama in the next 4 years. I'm hoping that's part of their campaign as the fall rolls around...he needs to sell that to the voting public hard... OF COURSE Obama is going to tell people that the GOP got us into this mess, and would put us back in it... OF COURSE Mitt is going to say that Obama has failed the nation, the economy, and the world... We all know that - regardless of who you prefer in the election - the last 4 years largely sucked, Obama was at the helm working out this mess. I think people are sick of reliving past failures, but need to hear new strategies for dealing with ever-mounting problems. Obama did a great job selling people on him being the "Change Agent" the US and the world needed back in '08. For Romney, Massachusetts liked him...it's time to put a spin on that likability for the rest of the country to see!
  16. Thanks for saving this page Also, turrible blackout job. I'm guessing their last name is "Foster".
  17. I'm just going to leave this here... http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-08-11/this-is-now-the-most-important-election-since-1980.html
  18. I think I remember seeing that car. Sad to hear anyone dying that young. What was his situation?
  19. GLWS. I got the same shit when I posted up my Corvette for sale a couple of years ago on CL. I would get fragment emails that I assumed were trade offers. Literally, all I would get is "81 Harley", or "Trade for 1968 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 350 motor A/T". It pissed me off after a few days of getting CL replies with NO cash offers.
  20. I was YooToobing, trying to find pics/vids/whatever from Curiousity, when I stumbled over this gem of a video. Srsly, I don't know where 45minutes just went. Well done and my mind asploded comprehending the logistics of a manned mission to Mars. Some of the info I knew, but it all put things into perspective. Good luck to whomever first lands on Mars.
  21. I did my Passat's 2.8L V6 timing belt using http://www.blauparts.com Can't go wrong with ECS Tuning, either...for stock replacement parts they are reasonable on price...
  22. 5/3 just redid their accounts (checking/savings)...simplified pricing, and it's usually free depending on what you need. Ultimately, banking comes down to relationships: who works with you when there is an issue. If you let me know where you live, I can send an email to the branch manager nearest to you so you two can tawk...
  23. http://Www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net 8am to 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center I'll be coming back from FL...see you guys next week!
