  1. That is insane. Clearly sounds like getting off the line smoothly - on a more consistent basis - is the major concern as it rips on throttle with traction down the big end of the track. Well done and it’s great to keep seeing you tear new holes in the space-time continuum.
  2. I got the ask from one of my wife's friends...I'm sure you all get the same from time to time:lol: Sub $5k Automatic "No Tiny Shoe cars or sports cars" "Nothing too dorky or mom-like" Hondas or Nissans preferred
  3. I appreciate the perspective. Glad that you've definitely done some travelling; I shake my head when I meet some people that have never lived/moved out of Ohio that don't at least travel. Great idea. Not sure if there's any sort of community organization your wife is also interested in? Might be fun to do something together. Habitat for Humanity, Mid-Ohio Food Bank... Ayyyy...technically this IS an option...
  4. Scott, if you like driving why not do a few road trips? See the country, try new things. I know time can be a limiting factor but it would be a fun way to use the cars you love and break the monotony for you (and the wifey). Don't wait for a cruise or Power Tour or anything like that...just take a long weekend and pick some destinations to drive to. If Petrolicious has taught me anything, it's that old guys still rocking the cars they've owned and love for multiple years seem to be the happiest. If it's too far to drive from a pain in the back/butt standpoint, look for some cheap flights and take a long weekend to check out somewhere new. You will surprise yourself with the adventures you'll have just grabbing a cheap hotel room and seeing sights in places you've never been before. NYC, Boston, FL, Seattle, Cali, Las Vegas, Texas, Chicago...
  5. PP2 ‘verts make me Looks great. Congratulations!
  6. Ben (1TrueSS) noticed my updates and reached out on Monday to see if I was interested in the grille from his old 6-speed-swapped Silverado. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=999&pictureid=8840 I loved his truck every time I see it, so I jumped on his offer that night. Note the old grille at the top of the pics, the stainless-steel inserts in the middle, and Ben’s modded grille at the bottom: I like the chrome bar over my spray-painted one. Looks good!: Also swapped out the front shocks. Stripped out a couple of the lower bolts, but whatever. Rides much, much better!: Next up will be rust repair in the rockers...
  7. What’s the HP bump with the SC? Very cool...
  8. Did the MTOD content go pay-only? I went to click on it and it’s telling me to sign in. I was enjoying the free content they provided.
  9. Good call, Gerg...I ended up reserving a 2016 Forest River Hemisphere Lite from a guy about 30 miles away from my friend's farm. My family and I drove up Friday afternoon to find the 31' trailer already parked, leveled, sliders extended, and hooked up by the owner who delivered it/picked it up for $80. The nightly cost was $119 or 129, I forget now. I didn't have to fill up water, drain the black tank...just clean up our stuff and left the camper. He picked it up after we left on Sunday. By far, one of THE BEST EXPERIENCES I've had. RVShare was easy to communicate with the camper owner, took the fees, uploaded a pic of my Drivers' License and only charged a few fees/insurance. But having a guy deliver a more-than-adequate trailer for a weekend of sleeping, cooking, having fun was an amazing experience. I could drive 80+mph back to C'Bus in our Odyssey and not have to deal with a trailer. I'll also say my wife noticed signs of a mouse, but we didn't care since it wasn't our camper. I let the owner know...it's his problem now, not mine. Still a great camping experience. My wife and kids loved it. We talked about buying a camper or RV in the past but I'm just going to RVShare for the foreseeable future. Why spend so much for a depreciating camper/RV that requires storage, expensive maintenance, etc.... when I can just rent someone elses' newer unit? Will definitely do it again! Thanks again, CR!
  10. I was cleaning my garage back in June that I had a can of red Krylon Performance paint for a project last year. Looking at the cap, I realized it's a close match for the truck(??). Time to wipe down and paint the roll pan. Close enough for gov't work! Also, was lurking on Amazon/eBay for the last couple of months for BellTech shocks (kit #9145), as I love the lowered suspension but the ride is hot garbage. Found "used" shocks through Amazon for $87.50 shipped. The description said they were "returns in Very Good condition". I looked at my truck and figured I'd give them a shot. What showed up to my door were brand new shocks in their original packaging. The box was slightly damaged, with the original shipping label cut out and mine package-taped over. We live in a gilded age when NEW PARTS are delivered in 2 days to your doorstop for cheaper than a shady CL ad. I replaced the rears, then proceeded to haul over 1000lbs of scrap. Laden and unladen, the change was much improved. Looking forward to swapping the fronts as well!
  11. I remember having the 300ci I-6 rebuilt by Mike at M&M in Delaware years back. With the CompCam in it, he recommended a conventional oil with ZDDP additive in it. Yeah...that lasted a 4-pack of additives' worth of oil changes and then I went synthetic. Just Rotella T6 it.
  12. Didn’t Dyno it...just a flash. But it feels a lot stronger. Should’ve done that when I first got it.
  13. August for the door lock. AladdinConnect for the Genie garage door opener. Both of them sync to the home WiFi, and apps control their activity.
  14. Update: I told Apple not to repair it. Will come by to pick it up.....sometime. It's not used often, so I may just try to repair it first, and get a new iMac if I screw it up. Thanks, guys!
  15. 2007 Cadillac CTS-V 6.0L LS2, 6-speed manual Thunder Gray exterior/Light gray interior Tinted windows, Lloyds mats, indoors car cover Magnaflow axle-back, K&N Typhoon air intake, poly diff bushing. Clutch replaced with LS6 Corvette unit around 75kmiles Bought with 82k miles, now at 130k. In great shape inside and out. Recent maintenance: New Spark plugs, wires - Spring 2019 New tires, brakes(pads/rotors), fluid flush (engine/trans/rearend) - Spring 2019 New waterpump and belts - Fall 2018 New Hurst shifter - Spring 2019 Tuned by Dyno Brian, Spring 2019 Bad: - I sidwswiped a Chevy Avalanche a few years back. Kevin Clifford did an amazing job fixing the panels and repainting the car. - Variable Speed Sensor gasket (solenoid mounted to steering rack) leaks. Could be an o-ring. I just keep refilling the reservoir. New Hurst shifter, tires, and Dyno Tune woke this car up. I continue to love this car. Two reasons to sell: 1) I got a brand new Lincoln MKC and fuel card for work travel. I'm just not going to be driving this thing as much as my Silverado or other cars. 2) Wife, kids want either a Tesla or a convertible. Keeping my eyes open. $8,500
  16. The blue 5x7 tarps are free right now....buuuuut they are as durable as construction paper and the normal price is like $2.49. I did get a 15x19 silver tarp for $18.99...I had one for years that was the greatest.
  17. We have 1TB of RAM in our existing iMac...if I get the computer from the link above, can I transplant RAM?
  18. You’re welcome. https://www.hfqpdb.com https://www.hfqpdb.com/best_coupon/6.5+HP+%28212+CC%29+OHV+HORIZONTAL+SHAFT+GAS+ENGINES
  19. My bad...it’s 2015. Really just used for home emails, YouTube videos, my daughter does some artwork... EDIT: also media server. Movies and stuff.
  20. We have a 2013 iMac 21.5" home computer. The logic board took a shit in December 2016, thankfully Apple repaired it under warranty. Well, the graphics card took a shit...meaning the logic card needs replacement again. Apple store wants $476 to repair the logic board. Has anyone repaired iMac's? Any good sources for new parts (MicroCenter), or will there be uploads and stuff that the Apple store has to make happen? Wifey wants to buy a newer computer but I dont think we use it enough to get a newer computer. Advice/experience appreciated!!!
  21. Ohio is 13th?? I agree that the historical tags are a godsend and not requiring emissions/inspection in many counties makes it cheap to own and drive a classic, but the weather/roads leave much to be desired. https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2019/07/18/how-classic-car-friendly-is-your-state
  22. Tell me the MR/RR layout marketplace that has a stickshift. I can think of: - 911 - Lotus - ... I love a good stick shift car, but I agree (for now) that the DCT performance in the C8 cannot be ignored, and at the price point I give GM props for putting a comprehensive performance car to market, stick or not. The C8 configurator is pretty cool, too...lots of customization choices.
  23. I watched this reveal party....and it had me locked for the whole 1+ hour. Awesome stats. I’m blown away by the engineering and performance for a less-than-$60k starting price. I predict a long and fruitful product line, with Chevy selling as many of them as they can make. Really gave me a shot in the arm with GM: I’m a fan of this new Corvette.
  24. Huge thanks to you guys for the recommendation for Old Skool - Wally was awesome to work with. My son ended up piecing together a board, wheels, trucks and bearings that he wanted, and Wally put it all together for the same price as I was seeing for a completed board on Amazon. I'm confident that we've got a better finished product. I loved his knowledge; he sized my son up, gave him recommendations, showed him some great board designs (as well as a Welcome board that's complete) and my son is really happy with what he's got. I also learned a lot about maintenance, as well as the skateboard classes (Bruce mentioned above) that are on every Saturday morning. <<<Definitely wouldn't have gotten that shopping online! I'm avoiding the easy but very relevant rant that we need more passionate owners with shops like Old Skool over the automated consumerism of Amazon....but I'll just leave it at we are really happy with the recommendation. Thanks, CR! Militant board - 31"X 7.75 Bullet trucks Ninja ABEC-5 bearings Bones 53mm wheels Buncha stickerz
