  1. +1. I was doing prep work for my kid's school Valentine's Day cards, so Bright was the perfect movie to have in the background whilst working on something else.
  2. I only heard some by-lines saying this wasn’t too good. I just finished it and - while weird in places for sure - I enjoyed it. A little “Training Day”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Fifth Element”...worth a watch.
  3. Alright...that's a whole LOTTA TEXT, but I do understand your reasoning now. I will still be forever happy to wrench on my stuff, but a constantly-breaking car gets really old, really fast. It's OK to say that now that you're out from underneath it. I think the car looks good, but seeing people's comments about ditching the stripe is not a bad move. Looks good as it sits, doe...with those wheels/tires you don't even have to lower it. Is that fender badging an add-on from the PO? Can't imagine a cop special would have those things. Also, forget the "whackers"...you got a nicely modded Charger, no need to bring it back down to working spec. That's some silly nonsense.
  4. Everytime I see a clean Foxbody with a hacked hood... :barf:
  5. I love Brian...but this one has me scratching my head as well. That Mustang was an investment with everything he had done to it That said, as long as you're happy, congrats!
  6. Damn...lowered on fat meats that thing looks sweet. The ONLY thing really bugging me about the styling are the FUCKING FAKE VENTS ON THE HOOD.
  7. LOL. "I'm going ALL IN, boys! #bitcoinbros #newmillionaire":fuckyeah: "uhh, Coinbase? Can you guys break a $20?" https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-01/crypto-purchases-boosting-mastercard-customer-spending-cfo-says People buying so much Crypto on credit cards...wow. Just wow. Again, I could be wrong - the price fluctuations are so huge on cryptos that maybe well-timed investments through CC purchases could actually generate a profit. But...if that's not still regarded as risky (I'd call that margin trading in 2018 terms) then I no longer know what is.
  8. LOL at the raccoon stories. A couple of years ago, a few families and ours rented one of those huge Hocking Hills houses with a bunch of bedrooms, indoor pool, fishing pond, etc. It was a great weekend for the kids and adults. On Sunday morning, one of the kids was out in the gravel parking lot came in super excited about this raccoon coming down this huge pine tree by the dumpster. We go out there (we had been throwing trash bags as part of cleaning up) and I saw the BIGGEST, FATTEST trash panda in my life. The thing looked like a cartoon. He was as chill as could be...just mosey'd down the tree into the dumpster, started slowly pulling apart a garbage bag while keeping an eye on the shrieking kids all excited to see him... found some kids snacks and sat there munching. Didn't. Give. A. Fuck. One of the dads went "We should shoo him away and close the dumpster lid." I gave him the yeah-sure-you-go-ahead-and-do-that look of incredulity. That raccoon wasn't dumb; he'd wait until Sunday mornings when people were leaving...see bags of trash in that dumpster...stop over in broad daylight and help his fatass to whatever he pleased. Clearly looks like he'd been doing it for years. No one would mess with him. We just told the kids to give him space. I envied that raccoon.
  9. OMG that's the greatest gif. Where has this been since November, 2016?
  10. Except that good stocks (and equity-based investments, like Mutual Funds and ETFs) pay dividends. It's the true benefit for the long game; receiving income while maintaining a position.
  11. I remember the GOP being just as bitter at Obama's SoTU's. Funny to see the flip-flop within 10 years. What I also thought was funny is how Trump pretty much read only from the teleprompter facing the GOP side of the floor, and would only pivot to the Dems in order to do this open-handed-scatter movement with his arm, like he was saying "Even YOU GUYS have to agree with this!". The bar has been set low. Trump did a good job reading from a pre-written script. Part of this is pageantry that every President goes through. I couldn't help but question how much of this he'll be able to deliver upon, given the noise/foot-in-mouth that Trump has gotten himself into just within this first year in office. My high-school years were Clinton, my 20s were Bush Era....I feel that coming out of the recession Obama had an uphill battle, getting the GOP to work with him. Trump is further alienating an already-politically divided country, adding difficulty to getting the Dems to work with him. Unfortunately, I still find his ability to remain his own worst enemy to be what hurts him the most.
  12. I don't want to meet the woman that would see that van and voluntarily enter it when approached on the street.
  13. I would like to know this as well (asphalt pavers). I didn't get a company out soon enough last fall before it got cold. EDIT: Hmmmm.... http://homeguides.sfgate.com/install-driveway-pavers-over-asphalt-24386.html
  14. I think either Noah Stein and/or Austin Yochus work there. I've got Austin's cell number...
  15. So, because the only drag racing I've done since early-CR street racing days is at CR Track Days....is there a certain track evening format where we can call each other out within reason and race? Instead of being in a line and tearing down next to whomever is up?
  16. BORREGO EX :gabe: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/725150895/overview/ When I see used 3-row SUV's, I see a pristine, never-been-sat-in rear seat. :dumb:
  17. I'll break'er down for everyone: 2007 CTS-V China tires 122k miles Worn Nivomat shocks. You may read 405hp/405tq on the Intarwebz, but she's due a tuneup and fluid changes. Upgraded '06-'07 diff hasn't shattered on me yet! DD RACEWARZ Wags/Cordell are right....shouldn't take a writ of Congress to get carguys out having a little fun! I'm down for wherever I'm not going to get into trouble (track?) and at least 55degrees.
  18. Cool! See you in 2019 or whenever you're ready.
  19. https://jalopnik.com/this-airbnb-for-diy-garage-space-lets-you-wrench-in-ran-1822537066 I'd be REALLY nervous about dudes stealing my s**t, or having easy access to my house, but if someone told me I could rent out my garage (and air tools, welder, jacks) for $20-$40/hr on some weekend, I'm inclined to be down. Certainly similar ideas have been talked about before. Could be cool if you had a multi-car garage to rent out all the bays on Garage Time... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125986&highlight=garage+rent http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127455&highlight=garage+rent
  20. Anyone want a piece of a 1g CTS-V?
  21. Most people only want to manage that what's closest to them (i.e. NIMBY's). They may be horrified by the casual use of "Indian" caricatures used by dumb, drunk sportsfans...but not too close or too knowledgable on the social issues affective Native Americans. Not everyone is educated, nor do they want to be.
  22. They've committed to using their "Block C" on their hats and uniforms. They'll still sell merch with Chief Wahoo through 2018. I have a feeling they'll keep an eye on public sentiment every year whether Wahoo will even be used. Grown up in Cleveland, I love Chief Wahoo and understand the negative public perception around the charicature. However, Cleveland will never be able to fully distance themselves unless they just flat-out change their name from Indians to something else.
  23. I personally don't have anything against Grant...but it's been a long time since I've seen someone type so much shit without any follow-through to back it up.
  24. This...or has the Maserati Levante V6 come down in price yet??? EDIT: 1 minute on cars.com tells me NO
