  1. FYI...From what I have heard, all LCD and Plasma TVs are taking huge price breaks after Labor Day this year...
  2. I have been working on restoring a '71 Dodge Charger for about 2 years now. The only time it has seen a shop since I got it was when it was in getting painted (I did the body work), when the new windows where replaced and tinted all around, and when it got the new custom exhaust installed. All this work was done at friends shops and stuff with me helping. The car is pretty much done except for the new custom interior which I have been working on.
  3. My suggestions would be to go with a carb engine so you don't have to deal with a computer. Also, I would say, find an old Beetle engine. They were made for rear mount RWD. I know there are a lot of mods you can get for those engines and a lot of people use them for dune buggies and carts.
  4. did the car even cost that much new in '82?
  5. This is why I will be purchasing the Wii when it comes out. I can't wait to play all the old school Nintendo games. But when Gran Turismo 5 comes out, I will purchase a PS3. But if it takes as long as it took for GT4 to come out, there will be plenty of time for the PS3 prices to drop.
  6. Another one for NewEgg for purchasing your own parts to build your own. But I will suggest if you only use your computer for basic needs (internet, email, word processing) it is much cheaper to get a prebuilt one through someplace like Dell. Dell's prices for basic full computers (monitar, keyboard, etc.) with a legal copy of XP are unbeatable. How many of us can build a full computer with monitar, a legal copy of XP for less than $400? XP alone is $200. If you do a lot of gaming or a lot of video processing and such, then build your own and it will be much cheaper.
  7. I have used the BF Goodrich Traction T/A's on a couple cars and I have never had any problems with them. They seem to have good rain/snow traction. They work great as tires for a daily driver.
  8. I know this seems to happen on 1st gen Neons a lot. It was caused by the exhaust gasket that connected the exhaust headers to the exhaust pipe. This rubber gasket would break down and allow the headers and pipe on a heat shield. Of course the only time you realized it was when you went to start. I am guessing it is something like that is rubbing on your car and causing the problem. I know on the Neon's the fix was to replace the gasket and push the heat shield further away from the pipes.
  9. I am happy to hear there are some good people left in the world. Seems like are parents raised us right. I have found many wallets, phones and other personal items and I always try to find the people that lost it. I have never been given anything for returning it, but the look on peoples faces when it is returned is enough for me.
  10. That has worked for me before. The turn around is normally pretty quick.
  11. I was about to say the same, check with DJ (Orion), CR's resident Verizon rep.
  12. Good luck, and keep thinking the positive and for a speedy recovery.
  13. Yeah I think he has some major explaining to do...
  14. My cousin is a full time firefighter for Hilliard and part time for Washington Township. He went to Hocking College for his Fire/EMT training. Also spent some time at the fireman's college in Reynoldsburg. While he was in school he was doing volunteer work at different stations depending if he was home or at college. Anyway, after college he got on with Washington Township for a while then got the job at Hilliard. He loves his job. I remember him saying the pay was ok, but if you want to make some good money, volunteer to go out west and fight forest fires. After doing that for 2 summers, he paid for his very large 2-story house with cash in Hilliard. Harzard pay is very nice.
  15. I am not sure that COD works that way. When ever the company I work for shipped stuff COD, the COD was for the total of the merchandise and the shipping. I couldn't see why they couldn't pay pal you for the $150 and then you could COD the shipping cost. I am pretty sure you will have to pay for the shipping first and then Fedex will get the check when they drop the block off and send it to you. Either that or they will send you a check. Also don't forget to include the COD charge in your shipping fees.
  16. I am not surprised that they are going to bring it back in '08, same time the Dodge Challenger is set to be released. Ford better get ready for some major comp in '08.
  17. Sorry to hear about your car. It was the nicest 7 I have seen. As others have said, at least you are ok. Hopefully the car is either repairable or you find something to replace it soon. I know you will make into another very nice car.
  18. Not sure if that is the same one or not. Looks like the one on Cragslist is a one seater.
  19. I have been wondering this as well. Well at least I now know what is up with all of them.
  20. Ok, now we have the 2nd coolest movie coming out next year. Right behing Transformers.
  21. I got my new 426 HEMI from Jegs. They had the best price that I could find with summitracing being a close 2nd.
  22. Yeah I used to live in Johnstown and Newark. I know the area pretty good. The car seen in Johnstown is pretty much just the normal high school ricers that think they are all that. And the Newark/Heath area is just as bad. I think the ricer hang out is still on 79 in front of either Giant Eagle or Best Buy.
  23. I should really look into this as well. I have very sensitive eyes and I can be pretty much blinded on a normal sunny day with out my sun glasses. I hate having light colored eyes.
  24. Looks pretty cool. I don't know if they have them in Columbus, but over in Heath, they have a craft store where people rent out spots to put there crafts. They sell it for you. Then at the end of the month they give you a check for the stuff the sell minus there cut (which isn't much). Also might want to try county fairs.
  25. I haven't heard of them coming out for the ps2 yet. Of course I haven't been looking for one. I got one for my old ps1 just before I got my ps2. I got it straight from Hong Kong.
