I'd tell her to get a GTP but I just blew mine up this week and so she didn't like that. Maxima's we've checked but she's not sure about the miles. Corrolas and civic are high on her list. 4dr GSR's are VERY hard to find. Thanks guys

We're helping a mutual friend find a new car for herself since her saturn is a piece of junk. She does have a daughter as well so 4 doors are a must. She wants to spend no more than $8kish. Auto/manual doesn't matter, she wants decent gas mileage but also a sporty car. She likes the 2002+ impreza's but they are still a bit too pricey. Just throw out some suggestions as to what you guys would look at based on price, mileage, and reliability. She is looking to purchase ASAP as her car won't stop nickel and diming her to death.

Nope, I'll clear it up for you. The 4cylinder turbo didn't come out until 2000 in the VW's. Since the beginning of time VW has had a 4cyl 2.0l motor that is available in almost everything, as well as GTI's. Motor's available in the mk3 (94-99) GTI's were just the 2.0L 4cylinder NA and the 6cyl VR6. Motor's available in the mk4 (99.5-05) GTi's include both those motors AS WELL as the 4cylinder 1.8L turbo motor you are thinking of. Good luck with the sale, price is high though.

Weird, I called my dealer today to schedule for another reason and mentioned this. He said to OPEN the fresh air vents because if you leave it on RECIRCulate then all the moisture inside the car is trapped inside and thats how the condesation forms on the inside of the windows. Oh and it was just the front windshield and a little on the hatch glass. Any other advice? We've got 35,589 miles on the car so I'd like to get whatever it is fixed ASAP, lol.

I REALLY THINK your overexamining the situation. And not to mention this is in my wife's 2004 Matrix. I just think we have a leak somewhere, (door frame or window) like Ricochet said and its letting air in. This is not happening while the car is running or has been run recently, its like after it sat overnight so I don't see how it would realte to the heater core at all. Matt

Yeah, the INSIDE of the car windows are like frosty/foggy in the morning when I go to start my car. It's almost like I could use the Ice scraper to clean the inside of the windows, what can I do to fix this? THanks

Why would you limit your search to 100k miles and over? There is a 2002 w/ 70k miles on it for $11500 on autotrader and another 2002 at Byers Subaru w/ 63k miles on it for $12995. So your saying that this being $3000 less but having almost 80k MORE miles is a "very good price"??? Anyways...carry on.

Cumberland is TEH SHIT!! Been going there for the last 15 years. Just get a big ass boat and take a bunch of friends, I swear its a blast. I do agree there is not a lot of parting otherwise, but down by the falls during certain parts of the summer there are plenty of partiers that hang out there. You just gotta enjoy relaxing and kickin' it with friends. Just go with like 5+ couple or like 15 people and its awesome. We had 2 ski boats (malibu sunsetter and a ski natique) and 3 waverunners for 10 days, it was HEAVEN.

Did you happen to run a red GTP a few months back on 71 south from like 270? I ran a blue cavalier from like a 60roll or so, kept up pretty good, I only got a few cars on it which was very surprising. Just wondering if your one and the same?

I 2nd Auto Assets, but you could find the same thing at PAP parts right behind Auto Assets for quite a bit cheaper. When I had my Passat (Same thing) I had a Forge 007 dv, worked great and held 20psi like a champ. I think it was like 60bucks or so. Also, might want to look at an N75 valve and a chip. The chip talk to Auto Assets, but the n75 you can buy at either. AA has some "free trial periods" on chips, pretty cool since you get to test the product before you buy. Good luck with it.
