  1. What your seeing is $2100 in machine work and parts. The mmr900 would cost over $4000 just for the shortblock. I'm not loaded! I'm also selling my other intake for $700, so I'll have $1400 in this build.

  4. I had to use a new to me teksid block. I bought manley .030 18cc pistons. I bought one of the new edelbrock intakes also. One head had another valve job and they were both milled.   7. Vacuum or lack of didn't cause the failure. I bet the ring lands collapsed and or broke. I had lots of smoke coming from my breather, but right after the failure it was put on the trailer. My catch can did have oil in it. Most of the time it doesn't have any. Here is a pic of the bad piston in the block.   8. I'm selling my heavily ported HPS intake. It is the 4.6 version. It also has the cooling mod. This new would cost around $900. You won't lose hp/tq in the lower RPMs like the other intakes. I'm also including the new Fore fuel rails with -6 an 0-ring fittings already installed.   9. You should edit your post on svtper. If you did mess the turbo up and they see you drove 10 miles after seeing smoke. I would think they wouldn't cover any damage to the turbo. My engine that threw a rod still started and ran. It just had a miss to it. It had a hole on both sides of the block. My engine was still running this time before I pulled it. It had a lot of smoke coming from the catch can.
  10. I had those checked and they were fine. My battery's ground terminal was loose and that was where my fuel pumps got their ground. I have a data log that supports this. It blew before the 1/8.
  11. I blew my engine again at kilkare on 5th pass. That was on the opening day. I had just rebuilt the engine from blowing it last year. This time it screwed up my teksid block. I have another teksid block at the machine shop being bored and honed right now. I have all my new parts and I'm just waiting for the block to assemble it. It also cost $488 to have my heads repaired. I blew mine on a saturday and on monday it was on a stand completly disassembled. If you did blow a line off the turbo there is a chance it ruined the seals. I know of more than one that has blown the head gaskets.
  12. 7.25@104.93 1/8 11.1@126.33 1/4 Running 13.5psi. My last pass was 7.34@98.86 in the 1/8 but I had already got out of it because it lost power before the 1/8.   13. As many times that I have broke shit in my engine. It has never been because I reused my gaskets. They are re-usable. You just have to replace the head gaskets.

  15. You can reuse the intake, exhaust, front cover,oil pan and valve cover gaskets on the modular engines.

  20. You guys don't know what your missing. There are plenty of guys that said they would never go auto. They switched and wished they had done it before wasting all the money on the t-56. My car is a blast to drive. I did swap back to the 5-speed a couple years ago when my automatic was broke. I hated it. I sold the 5-speed after getting the automatic back. My car runs high 10's with about 11psi and it is just a 2V 4.6. You have very little lag and 0 lag when shifting.
  21. Plain and simple. You need to spend the money on an automatic transmission. You can sell your t56. Just get a transmission that has a manual valve body. I have to shift every gear in my car doesn't matter if it is up or down. I could take you a ride in my car if you like sometime. Most guys that make the switch wish they had made it sooner.

  23. Sounds like you had a blast. You could have competed in the bracket racing today for free. I had the lowest 14sec average in 03 and then the lowest 11sec average in 06 at the Columbus NMRA. How did the mid 11 sec passes feel???
