  1. FYI in Ohio the lender can choose to recover damages from you unless explicitly placed in writing that they waive this right; it's usually only done as part of a short sale. If you short sale without the guarantee or foreclose they can come after the full loss on the mortgage. Also, they don't have to short sale. They know your credit information and they'll find out your financial situation. If they have reason to believe you can/should pay they likely will not let you short sale and force you into foreclosure so they can attempt to recover the loss.
  2. No, not worried. Most calculations (that I didn't do) show no more than 25% greater wear to any component, which if you assume a 150,000 mile service life would reduce to 112,500 miles. Well within my acceptable risk. The only other parts of significant consideration are the CV axles. I replaced the axles already last weekend. The greater angle on the inner CV puts stress on the factory rigid plastic boot and causes them to pop, as mine did. The solution is to replace the axles with aftermarket stock replacement Cardone units, they have a neoprene boot instead of hard plastic and they'll take the extra angle without popping. My passenger axle was already leaking and mostly greaseless anyway.
  3. Yea, James Downing is one of the top offroad Trailblazer dudes. I consulted his site and past posts many times as I was choosing components. If I actually get into offroading I'll pick up a rack, guard, and light bar - but for now it's a snow warrior.
  4. Indeed, Steve. I voted.
  5. I'll help. Working on these things is dumb easy. I highly recommend an impact gun.
  6. The ride is similar to stock, at least on the front. In the rear I'm now running springs from a Z71 Avalanche, which are MUCH stiffer (but awesome for load carrying). Now with JUST the lift on stock tires, it drove worse. The suspension naturally has a little "slop" in it, and with the lift on otherwise stock everything else this slop was magnified significantly. Now with 1.5" wheel spacers and 32's it drives like it used to, evened everything back out. Tires are surprisingly quiet. Only slightly louder than the cheap as shit dealer installed HT-pseudo-AT tires that were on it. It's very mild mannered. Ground clearance, I have no idea. About 3" more than stock, whatever that is.
  7. Never really understood lowering a truck or SUV. Why not just buy a car? I like driving over things, it's why I have one.
  8. Pure poser, openly admit it. I built it up for snow duty and the occasional trail, but also because I've always thought it looked a little too minivanish. I wanted the Silent Armor's specifically because they're one of only a few all-season tires that are also snow/severe service rated. This is my avatar on the Trailblazer forums now:
  9. I should get farther away shots for maximum effect, but I don't care because I'll just run you over.
  10. Had Hoblick hook up the Trailblazer on the winterizing special, looks fantastic (of course). Go see him! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1068139

  14. Indian Kitchen on High Street is the best Indian I've had in this city, hands down. I've eaten at at prolly 8 other places here and the Kitchen owns them. Second would have to be New India on Bethel. Haven't done Banana Leaf.
  15. I use Safeco through Rally Insurance Group. http://www.rallyinsurance.com/
  16. Hell with either of them. I think I'd rather have a thousand bottles of Cristal.
  17. Not sure either. Haven't experienced that on any 7 install I've seen including mine.
