Now you're talking. Reality is it'll never get paid back. Trade education would be wonderful, I realize not everyone is cut out for a desk job, but then again. Ever hire an electrician? Jeebus $$$ See a common trend here? 20% that don't graduate is likely a result of a k-12 system that is MANDATORY (as in children will get taken away if they don't go). People basically have no option not to go. This would be different in the way that these people 'want' to go. I don't mind funding it* (*depending on how much I actually have to contribute via taxes, TBD), as long as people using the monies take it seriously. In that case I would propose what 'people in other countries' do, entrance exams. If you really want it, bust your butt, study, prove you want to be there. Of course there will be 'liburls' that will kick and scream because you aren't giving everybody a fair chance, but I think its a fair compromise. How we filter out people for trade school, I don't know. /thread.

At the same time what fun are playoff games if all the good players that got the teams to that spot are hurt? (4th string QB in the title game?!?! say it ain't so!)
-
Fine, cut out one of the pre-season worth-nothing games.
-
first one - bought the 1st one I looked at. It was a starter home, and I was single. It was easy. Second one - our forever home. had to worry about mundane stuff such as bathroom toilet orientations with the wife. We looked at 100's online. Walked through about 20. Took us 18 months to find the one we love. And its great.
-
Maybe i'm dumb, but what does the number of scholarships have to do with games in the season? Is that losing players due to injuries?
-
I don't see a check for DSLR?!

How soon are you going to start looking? Took us 18 months to find one! Do you have work in the area? Not much around here. Sure, hellova drive though. We're ok with the counter for now. Its not great but at least is not laminated particle board. Have quite a few other expenses coming in the next year or so, specially the shop/lift. Counter can wait, but backsplash could be easy. We kind of like the openness of the livingroom/dining room/living room. We do need some new furniture fairly soon so we may try to divide it up with that. I think there are fish, definitely saw some bullfrog tadpoles, turtles, and a snake. We are on city water, which is very nice! We were pleasantly surprised.

looks like she's more of an offroader, trying to articulate that suspension.

Nice shots Jeff. Really like 4,9,20.

OK I'll Bite. Been very busy and not a lot of time for playing with the camera. Between our wedding and getting a new house its been insanity. Still was able to capture some good ones. Probably my favorite of the year. The Milky way over Crater Lake. First experience with galaxy shots. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Photo%20Update%20Album/082514_1159_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Photo%20Update%20Album/082614_1333_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Photo%20Update%20Album/082614_1243_edited-1.jpg Haceta Head lighthouse. No we put them there. My wife's biggest hobby is to cross-stitch. It sounds lame but she does some fantastic work. I'll have to try and find some of the pics of her work. Some of them look like pictures. Each bin has a different color floss. Each bin numbered. Its annoying to have to run 15 minutes into town when she runs out of a color for a $0.30 pack of colored string. Told her to buy every damn color and just stock it, lol. The table is hand made by one of her good friends and she uses it as a cutting/measuring table. I had a sheet of clear plexi glass cut to fit, so the table top wouldn't get all scratched up. To Make things better this was the kid's playroom for the previous owner. They had 'chalk paint' on the wall there. So I framed it in with the bins, she uses chalk to jot down notes/measurements. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Miscelaneous/New%20House/123114_2111.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Miscelaneous/Jenny%20Cross%20Stitch/Geishax-stitch-2011.jpg She has a really good one of a King Tut's sarcophagus thats just amazing, though I haven't taken a picture of it yet. Each piece takes her at least a year.

As a QB you have to be real careful though. Good receivers can make bad passes look good. Go to a mediocre team, you may just get lumped in with the bunch.
-
I don't think Braxton will be the OSU QB next year. However, if Urban means what he says...he doesn't like complacency and no one has the job for sure. They will have to continue to prove to that they are worth it. I think the difference between JT and Cardale doesn't happen till spring time...if that.
-
Remember not too long ago, there was some scary thoughts of 3-4 SEC teams in the first playoff. nope. Just 1, and it got put out by a measly B1G team on a 3rd string quarterback. you just can't make up that story line.
-
Oh and today was historic in Big10 vs SEC.
-
Sidebar. Would anyone be kind enough to ship me the front page of the Columbus Dispatch tomorrow? I keep that stuff framed. Can't get it here in Indiana.
-
I'm not sure if this is kosher, and maybe only the person that made the bet can do this...but can we update the signature with the bold amendment as shown above? All seriousness. Two great teams, putting everything out there. I would like to see the replay of that fumble Bama had that was ruled an incomplete pass. I heart the playoff so much right now. Not because OSU is in the final game...but there is little doubt that the teams that are there deserve to be there. Should have bama won, they proved they belonged there also. Still would like a 8 team playoff. There weren't too many sketchy calls. A good solid game without any dirtyness. just solid. IMO MVP goes to Ezekiel, Lee, or Spence..... who do you pick? I actually just looked at the price of flights to go to NOLA, right now, just to party. Bama's punter should go in the first round of the NFL draft. LOL.
-
Jive, are you with tilley?
-
2nd and 14, run right up the middle into 400lb linemen. Good story bro.
-
I think we can all agree Bama and OSU, that stupid song they keep playing on the commercials has got to go.
-
I tip my hat to Bama's punter. He's got some skill.
-
This game so far is living up to the hype. Both teams are just top notch. Some of these plays are coming down to luck. Like that touchdown pass from Spence. Why can't we stop Henry. Its so freaking predictable. Jackson (on the alabama side) has been playing some great defense. Bosa has been shut out. That line is huge. Our O-line looks like they are doing pretty well in the second quarter.
-
unbelievable throw and catch. simply redonculous.
-
why the hell are they running the QB so much? I understand when a play breaks down but seen a few designed QB run plays.
-
FSU finally got trolled.
