  1. you said the vacuums were dry-rotted. I'd start by replacing those
  2. I have a feeling I'll be using this a lot now that I know about it
  3. I've found some for around 800-1200 that fit the bill but I went ahead and went new. Hey man thanks a bunch for letting me know about that coupon. I decided to go with something different. Found two 48" ones I liked a lot, a JD for $2000 and a Husqvarna for $1900. After about 30 minutes of jumping back and forth I decided I liked the feel of the Husqvarna more than the JD. Got it, couple sheets of plywood and a shed. No questions were asked about the coupon. This is the one I got http://www.lowes.com/pd_372785-63311-YTH24K48FR_4294747190_4294937087_?productId=3606296&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Riding%2BMowers%2BTractors_4294747190_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo= Sucks they can't deliver it until Sunday morning lol
  4. there's no way I'll find a 46" JD worth a damn or under 500 lol
  5. what all did they list as being issues? some have success with just cleaning the IAC so it might be worth a try. My old explorer had an IAC issue and when the idle would act up I could hit it with the handle of a screwdriver an that would smooth it out.
  6. coupon email came today. will they ask questions or want proof of moving? lol
  7. really it could be anything at this point. Hell the not wanting to restart after hot could be something like a coolant temp sensor
  8. think you can with a multimeter but I'd just wait and scan for codes

  10. so just ask the postmaster for a moving pack? lol
  11. I'll look into this moving pack. Never heard of it. 42 is what I have now. It's falling apart and I figure might as well go bigger
  12. sounds like your blades were too short
  13. well maybe it really needed shimmed and wasn't and now the teeth are broken off of the starter gear? It's all guesses until you remove the starter and inspect it.
  14. Is it shimmed? If so remove one or two and see
  15. actually if i can't raise the deck on the fly the craftsman won't work at all
  16. Only thing about the craftsman I dislike is you need tools to adjust cutting height. Thing I dislike about the troybilt is the turning radius. Overall I think the TB is best for me. Asked on another forum and every one was saying just by used because of these two having the stamped steel front end. Problems with buying used is no warranty and who knows how long some one elses mower will last here, and that I lack a truck to haul it home. This really shouldn't be this hard of a decision but I've never bought a mower before. lol I'll be mowing around 5 acres once a week or so and behind the house is a hill I have to lean pretty good on.
  17. I don't want to use my current mower and have been looking for a replacement. http://www.lowes.com/pd_336009-270-13WX79KT011_4294747190+4294803173_4294937087_?productId=3306402&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_460_4294747190%2B4294803173_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo=46.0 http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07128852000P?prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4&sid=I0084400010000100383&aff=Y
  18. what was the reason you were told it needed rebuilt for exactly?
  19. ah thanks I did not know that. Kinda funny since my s10 had that same sort of setup and I used donuts on them lol
  20. doesn't it need a donut gasket for that? Also, if he used sealant, wouldn't that be sort of a waste since that that type of connection is made to flex a bit?
  21. if you guys want crappie head out to rushcreek lake. You can catch them left and right all day there by the little bridge before you get to the loading area.
  22. used to be one in Kingston off of 159 but its been years so I doubt it's there any more
  23. this was my thought as well. oops lol
  24. nice find, thanks. Checked the s10 I sold last summer and it shows it was wrecked in Columbus on Dec 22 lol
