Living Situation Sucks PT 2: Electric Bill.
Big Chief2011647545501 replied to Rhett's topic in Dumpster
2810 kwh's is a boat load for one month, but your only paying ~0.027/kwh for generation (well below generation cost). I don't know how that can be correct at all. The average household in Central Ohio pays ~0.072/kwh. If you think your bill is high now wait until you have the A/C running in the summer time. when its close to ~0.085/kwh. Another factor that will be adding to your bill is is the EPA forces AEP to close down a few of our Coal plants (which is the cheapest power right now). My suggestion to anyone is call AEP's Retail division and lock in the rate they are offering of 0.0669/kwh good through 2014 (its the same rate firstenergy is offering btw). Another piece of advice is if you live in central Ohio and buy your generation from another company you will be subject to ancillary charges to use AEP's distribution lines. -
Nissan Maxima verus Ford Taurus

I've heard nothing but bad things about Maxima's and Altima's. As a matter of fact I dated a girl for 6 years and her maxima was nothing but problems. They had the computer replaced twice, exhaust replaced countless times, and the rear-end was replaced all within 5 years of being purchased, but I digress. -
in Kasich's State of the State it looks like he's going to be attacking how schools use their funds. Specifically how they pay administrators. He mentioned "Waiting for Superman" as his motivation. We'll see if he's able to get anything done, fucking teachers union.

two wrongs don't make a right but driving at night your supposed to have a heightened sense of surroundings and whats in front of you. Who's to say a deer, croc, or Sasquatch wouldn't run in front of that SUV later down the road hadn't the ricer been there.

interactive brokers is good for starting out investing a friend and I started a investment advisory awhile back and they only charged a 1/2 penny a share. With 3k though you cant become a pattern day trader so be careful and know what you're getting into.

Its simple economics when it comes down to it. The banks didn’t value the homes the free market did. If there was no supply and a large demand prices would increase, if there was a large supply and no demand there would be a price decrease. The value of an asset is not a guarantied price and is subject to personal opinion and multiple outside factors that can be skewed. When you purchase an asset you take the risk of it being devalued due to unforeseen market conditions. No one said Brian did anything wrong, he simply took a risk of purchasing an asset at a price he saw as favorable with current market conditions. Furthermore, not once did I say there were no illegal practices going on or that I agreed with their lending practices. Even with that said the lenders didn’t force clients into signing the papers when they didn’t do their own due diligence. It's sad that America has become the land of blame others for our mistakes.

Either way it sounds like you're doing the right thing and making it work as much as possible. I'd definetly look into renting it out, With where things are now its pretty hard to get one mortgage let alone two. You may have to transfer the mortgage to someone else lile mentioned before. Good luck either way, I hope it works out for you.

It's the consumers money and they have the ultimate say in what they do with it. The consumers weren't forced into buying a house they couldn't afford, they could have walked away at any time. If I tell someone a turd is work $1000.00 and they can buy it for $800.00 is it my fault they bought the turd on my valuation alone? If a consumer is mentally compentent to enter into a legal contract they should have the common sense to do their due dilligence before purchasing something.

Wheres the personal responsibility in this country? Always quick to blame the other guy for their mistakes (not saying you but in general). If someone doesn't understand the terms of their loan or the risk their getting into don't buy or have the common sense to seek proper advice. If someone buys something they cant afford thats their own damn fault.

I love how everyone is blaming the banks for the loss in housing values. I compare that to investing in a stock and losing money on it. Do you blame the brokerage firm you use for the loss? Sell the house take the hit and move on, dont ruin your credit it takes too long to rebuild.

lets waterboard all the employees... If they dont know they wont tell. -
I've seen a bunch of videos where people have built pretty good wind turbines problem is they have a high maintenance cost and produce very little energy. I would say your best option i solar. I would highly recommend getting them in while there are subsidies for them and before these coal plants start shutting down.

About a week ago I turned on my computer and noticed a problem probably with my video card. I have an HP DV7 that on the screens certain colors that should be black or blue are red. It looks similar to this... Anyone have any recommendations for repair places? http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQTOtXsgTkgHZcUmjWSHDO9jTx2cI98fqnJbhHDu51A01-N04FoXZwPYlJ7
