  1. Dunno if I'd run that Blazer stuff through my XD again. I did two boxes right after I first bought it, and the stuff was HIDEOUSLY dirty, and not very consistent either.
  2. Pike's Peak. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zaf3DsTaviw
  3. The natural end point was when they go from Adama sitting by Laura's grave to the horizon. The rest was GREAT, I loved the striped Centurion giving hand signals and slicing the corridor, that was funny as hell. And when Galactica jumped back from the colony and whipped.....Jebus, that was incredible.
  4. We watch it at work during lunch. The TV doesn't pick up anything but 10 for some reason. Drew Carey.....I dunno, "Drew Carey Show" was funny, "Who's Line" was funny (but mostly because of Colin Machrie), but he just looks lost up there. No shiny chrome mic = no win.
  5. Throw in the question of what the Chinese are making with those bricks of shredded brass.....it ain't tubas.
  6. A VeeDub Bus has gone 200, back in the early 80s no less. It was an older style through, the old hippie style, which are more aerodynamic. He did have a SLIGHT motor swap, it was a tube-frame car with a 1650cu in Merlin V12 for power.
  7. Gotta wonder what the airbag print looks like.....
  8. I'm sure that Blackwing will be able to do a good job, or any of the other shops around town. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Vance's for the job. I had my XD night-sights installed there, they did get them right on the return trip, but their first try took 2 weeks! This was WAY back before the panic, too.
  9. We killed our printer at work a few weeks back. Since we had to have SOMETHING, we dragged a truly ancient dot-matrix down from the junk racking and our IT guy managed to get it working. The first time it started printing, the secretary literally SCREAMED and jumped out of her seat.....young chick, never heard that noise before in her life. She thought it was going to catch on fire or explode.
  10. If anyone feels like critiquing this stuff, all I can do is tell you, "Maintain low tones!"
  11. The ones in Lancaster and Circleville late last year were a wash, too. I got scooped on the ONE rifle in the place at Circleville that wasn't beat to hell or overpriced by double.
  12. Okay, I gotta ask....how the hell do they even keep the tire inflated when it's stretched like that? I can't imagine trying to CORNER like that, looks like it would pull the bead right out.
  13. "P-51, Cadillac of the skies....." Empire of the Sun was a GREAT movie.
  14. +several hundred.....Nutcracker Sweets is the place. They make some wicked good breakfast too.
  15. Midway USA had a really nice pistol bag a few months back, but I think it's out of stock now. Personally, I prefer a hard case, like a poly toolbox, for carrying ammo and cleaning supplies to the range, things don't get shuffled around like they do in a bag. The medium sized ones from Home Depot and Lowe's work well if you carry the pistol in them, and the small ones are ideal for CHLers. With what you are planning to carry, weight is a consideration. Most of the bags that I've heard of failing have had straps and handles pull loose from the weight.
  16. Hey, I better write that one down.....oh wait, there's no Post-It notes left. Tragic.
  17. 664/374 and others in the area are great. Car and Driver magazine does their annual Viper vs. Vette vs. Cobra evaluations there, as well as quite a few of their individual vehicle road tests. Those roads are a good mix of performance conditions, lots of twisties for the handling, some good straights for power runs, a few rough-ish roads for the ride....generally, if you can encounter a given road condition off the track, you'll find it in the Hocking Hills. Just don't expect to go fast in the fall. All the grannies with their CRVs and Hyundais clog up the roads pretty badly.
  18. Fried in butter with a little dill and lemon.....
  19. No V-8 coupe, no interest. Besides, the fixed side window dip just looks so weird....
  20. Insecurity combined with a lack of integrity, irresponsibility, cowardice, and with a dash of laziness thrown in. It's so much easier to let an ethereal being shoulder the burden of making decisions, especially when an ethical dilemma is involved.
  21. Holy fuck, we have one of EXACTLY that model of chair in the office at work! It is gray fabric, but that's the SAME frigging chair in every detail. Nobody uses it, it just sits against the unused desk, but whoa.....I wonder how I can get my boss out of the office long enough to disappear his old chair....
  22. It's POSSIBLE it could be done with a stock motor (assuming he had a nice long downhill slope and a HELL of a tailwind), but not PROBABLE. Hell, my Grand Voyager has buried the 120mph speedo on several occasions, and that thing has a Cd that is actually worse than most trucks.
  23. Zanesville Rifle Club is 300 yards. Can't recall what the membership is, but it's pretty cheap.
  24. The older ones, pre-98ish, had some issues with the drive for the rear axle failing. Haven't heard of anything with the newer ones.
  25. Okay, but they KEPT one thing that never appears in the show itself! When Bart jumps the skateboard over the fence beside their driveway, it's made of brick. They NEVER show a brick fence there in the show, just a regular fence.
