  1. Yeah, the wheels almost HAVE to be something that looks like a modern Cragar or Torque-Thrust rim. They just look right for retro designs. The front end just makes the car look like it's about to cry.
  2. Photoshop, and before I get a "Fuck You" from O'Doyle.....the chick is Sophia Ferrari, and she has DAMN good legs too.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270421689672 Yes, but my taste in cars is on the "odd" side. Airbags all around, fix the body, worked 24valve Cummins for power.....
  4. There's a guy here in town rocking a TEMPO with an 3.2 SHO motor under the hood. I lined up with him once with my 3.0 V6 Duster.....whoops.
  5. http://www.iafd.com for titles, http://www.freeones.com for the good stuff.
  6. Lotsa lens in that shot, he's not as close to the apartment as it appears. Still, if he was in burner it would curl the leaves on your hibiscus!
  7. Oh yeah, the one that was used as a testbed, flying with FIVE engines. I got to walk around in their old hanger with my brothers car club, and I couldn't believe the amount of work they had ahead of them. They are pretty much utterly rebuilding the plane from the plans, maybe 80% of the structure is new metal!
  8. There's a coin shop up in Westerville, can't think of the name of it, but it's on the left side of rt3 just past the Kroger. It's all about grade and condition. A coin that has been in circulation is just a coin, unless it is rare. Wheat heads picked out of pocket change are generally always worth a penny, LOL. He used to buy them by the roll, I think he was paying 55 cents for a 50 coin roll of common date wheats, but I have no idea if he still is. Some of the buffalos may be worth some real money, but most of them are going to be a nickel.
  9. I was just outside a few minutes ago, and off in the distance I hear a familiar rumble and growling. I look up, and watch THIS fly over: http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/75/75/7/47/87/2737747870100927757DSSqFC_th.jpg About from the same angle, obviously more clouds today though. She's a B-17G Flying Fortress, the "Liberty Belle". She's flying out of Bolton Field near Grove City for fundraising and veteran's flights this weekend. I love that sound, the big radials thundering as the landing gear come up. She was maybe 500 or 600 feet up when she went over. I watched until she was out of sight in some low clouds, then went back to reassembling my M1 Garand.....what a nice moment!
  10. What's the "March" in the States? I can't remember Nissan models from back then very well, and I don't recognize the door frames or interior. Stanza? I dunno, I have to say that the first thing that popped into my mind was those kits to make your Fox T-Bird or Cougar into a 1950 Ford. The styling and shape of the middle third of the car just doesn't WORK with the ends.
  11. The "hunting" short-bus.....betcha they tie the deer in place, and the guides STILL have to be ready for a coup-de-grace shot.
  12. Zanesville Rifle Club has a 300 yard range, but good luck getting ahold of their treasurer for a membership.
  13. That complex and the area have had a LOT of car theft and break-ins the last couple months. Hate to say it, but it's probably parts already.
  14. Stretched out on concrete for 20 minutes.....in Houston, with highs in the 90s, and NO clouds to be seen. Nyuck-nyuck-nyuck.....
  15. Revenge is a dish best served after their guard is down, call it a month. Just sayin'.....
  16. Hey whoa, if it was the Onion, it would at least be funny. THIS, however, is merely stupid.
  17. I've got so much of that stuff in my dash now.....some of it may be structural.
  18. They used to be the best show in Columbus, back when they let you sit less than 46 miles away from the launch site. I loved that show when I was a kid, never had to worry about any duds landing on us, they usually came down well behind us!
  19. And most of the armed forces bases in SOUTH Korea are within 250 miles of the DMZ line. These are not the same Scud-A and early Scud-B that Saddam had in the Gulf War, these are updated with better guidance and a larger warhead. The old Scud-B was something you chucked at a CITY, these are something you can use to pick off an individual neighborhood. Not as accurate as our cruise missiles ("Which window do you want it to fly in?") but with a MUCH larger payload, they don't need to be. And North Korea may well have a Bio-war program.
  20. I think Snopes has something on it, I heard about the statement through one of the F1 fansites, cussed be if I can remember which one though. And I've yet to see one where it LOOKS like the car engine is actually producing those notes.
  21. The sound is synthesized. The Renault team issued a statement after the "singing engines" started hitting youtube that there is NO possible way for their engine to actually produce sounds like that. Look at the rear rotors. They spin at the same rate the whole video, indicating the car was in gear. With all those rev changes, they should be spinning at different rates. And major changes in throttle on F1 cars are almost always accompanied by a fuel flash from the exhaust stubs, which never happens in the video, except during those bursts of WOT at the end. The video is of an idle test or diagnostic run, with synthesized sound added. The WOT bursts are real audio though, which is why they have a different tone quality.
  22. If they do fire one, hopefully one of the three or four Ticonderogas doing hot laps in the Sea of Japan will be able to SM-3 it. I think the appropriate RESPONSE would be two dozen cruise missiles with conventional warheads to the launch pad and support facilities, followed by a pair into the top floors of that weird abandoned pyramid hotel in downtown Pyongyang.
  23. That 1895 Winchester.....damn, thats purty! I've been wanting one for YEARS, my dream is to find one of the Russian contract "muskets" in 7.62x54r (yes, I'm a Mosin nut), or the .30-'03 version.
  24. GENIUS! Fake, but awesome non the less.
