So true. I always did kind of wonder just where the hell he found those things.....

Alas and alack, it develops that Turkmenistan is NOT located quite where I initially thought it was. Thus, my joke about many more burning craters strewn all over the Mid-East being rather a good idea.....is doomed to failure. Curses.

Music Man on High. They did a good job on repairing the tinsel leads on some Pioneers of mine.

The prices were out of line. Used Glocks for more than Vances sells them for NEW. AR and AKs were still in Obama-panic price range. Mil-surp stuff was either bubba'd, junk bores, or over-priced. And I didn't get any damn wasabi jerky, so I'm fucking pissed off that way too.

Hope you don't do that with alcohol, if you're Irish it means you'll be going to hell. "Renob"....holy fucking hell, I haven't heard that word since like 1988. Um, "who use improper grammar." Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that I do this too.

The car is a 48 Buick Super. I had to look at the car, no way would I fap to a chick who is probably dead.

K...I hate it when I'm working and somebody pages me and says, "It's for you, they wouldn't give their name." Odds are I'm busy working, and given my job, I'm gonna be annoyed already. Throw your name out, and you'll at least get the courtesy of a personal response. It might be just, "Hey Putty, sorry I can't talk right now, but I'll call you back as soon as I'm done with this, it'll be five minutes tops." But if you DON'T give your name, you get parked on hold until I'm done or you give up.

Make sure you read up on Garands and what to look for. Plus, be careful of using commercial ammo in a Garand, you can mangle the op-rod badly with the hotter loads in commercial ammo. You can add a Schuster adjustable gas plug (runs about $35 from Midway, take three minutes to install) and use commercial, but a stock plug restricts you to surplus M2 ball only. That's not a real problem, surplus is still pretty cheap. CMP is the way to go, just make sure you read and understand their purchase requirements. It isn't like a gun shop, just filling out a 4473 isn't enough. Their rack and service grades are all shooters for sure, but you'll want at least a muzzle gauge to check muzzle wear. They have them to loan up at the North store, but you might as well buy one. Garands are addictive, you'll be using it again soon enough.

I absolutely hate ants. I stomp any one I see, and if I find a nest, it's gasoline and firecracker time. I used to think it was because of their perfect little communistic nature, but since I'm cool with bees....dunno.
-
Try the CMP, they had some sweet shooters last time I went up there. http://www.odcmp.com Rack grades were $575, service were 675, and they were out of correct grade. They were out of mags though.

Okay, lets be honest: How many people are checking all the icons for porn stuff? -
Yeah, for semis, construction equipment, things like that. I've seen similar ones used for the bolts that hold power towers to their bases.

Dunno if anyone pointed it out yet, but there are no longer descriptions of what each forum is for on the main screen. -
Nope, and they aren't in my Yellow Pages. Anyone got a location for us po' unfortunate souls?

I actually asked my agent what would happen in a situation like this a few years ago. Her reply was that there was no way in hell that they would continue insurance to anyone involved in street racing, nor would they offer a policy to an applicant who retained the vehicle involved in the charge. Now, I have to admit I'm assuming that all insurance companies operate pretty much the same way. And I have no idea how they would find out it was the same vehicle, but I would assume that the DMV report would list the VIN of the car the offense occurred in as well as the original charges.

Some people put their heart and soul into cooking, I throw in my potential children!

You wanna guess what is going to happen to his insurance rates? Given that the car is identified in the police report, it'll show up whenever he applies for a policy or they check DMV records. I wouldn't be surprised if he's told that he simply cannot get insurance for that car, or anything quicker than a mid 80s Accord.

Try his actual recipe sometime. It'll keep you warm for a week. 1/4 cup cooking oil or 1/4 lb. suet 1 lb. beef round, coarse chili grind 1 lb. beef chuck, coarse chili grind 8-oz. can tomato sauce 12 oz. beer 1/4 cup ground hot red chile* 2 medium cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion, finely chopped 1-1/4 tsp. dried oregano (preferably Mexican) 1/2 tsp. paprika 1-1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1-1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 3/4 lb. Monterey jack cheese, grated Melt suet or heat the oil in a heavy 3-quart (or larger) pot over medium-high heat. Remove the unrendered suet and crumble meat into the pot. Break up any lumps with a fork and cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is evenly browned. Add tomato sauce, beer, chile, garlic, onion, oregano, paprika, 1 t. of the cumin, and salt. Stir to blend and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding cayenne pepper. Simmer uncovered 1 hour longer. Stir in the cheese and the remaining 1/2 t. cumin. Simmer 1/2 hour longer, stirring often to keep cheese from burning. * The cookbook really calls for this much, but unless you have a taste for fire, use less! I use half this amount, and I really like hot food.

Just watched "LeMans" last night with the surround cranked. Hoooooooo.........gotta love that race start sequence.

Yeah, AIM was getting swamped with orders the last time I called them. 3 weeks ship time, but for their prices, it's worth the wait. Plus, I kind of prefer to support a semi-local business.

GE made a Gatling type in .50BMG back in the 80s, the GECAL .50, and it is still around as the GAU-19/A. There was a 6 barrel version, but 3 barrels is standard. There are the usual fixed pod mounts for aircraft, pintle versions for copters and Hummers, and a turret version was considered for the Comanche. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAU-19 http://www.combatfilms.com/cfrtv_archive_0005.asp It didn't sell well, the system is too heavy to be mounted on small vehicles like the Mini can, and there are tons of cheap M2 variants still available.

Oh, it's real. I just can't believe that it didn't catch on something under the truck hard enough to kink the driveshaft or break a U-joint.
