  1. Interesting article... http://riverfrontball.com/2013/12/09/notre-dame-refuses-play-cincinnati-bearcats-bowl/ I definitely agree with the sentiment. I know for sure once we lost to UL, and our options were pinstripe or Belk... if we got Virginia Tech, I would like the Belk Bowl well enough, otherwise I REALLY wanted to take down Notre Dame at the Pinstripe Bowl.... BADLY.... I want the Bearcats to have a chance to fist fuck ND...
  2. UC will play UNC in the Belk bowl.... Kinda disappointed we will have to play a 6-6 ACC team (never mind it will amount to more than a home game against UNC)... I was hoping somehow VT would get the bid... Oh well, I guess it's better than no bowl...
  3. One thing about being a UC fan... When we have a disappointing loss in a big game, I don't have to hear the media talk trash and make it worse, because they rarely care.... Except for the 2009 Sugar Bowl.... That was sad... Sorry guys... OSU still had a great season, there is a lot of talent upcoming; and in the future you only have to be as high as #4 for a shot at the title.
  4. Looks like UC will be playing someone from the ACC in the Belk Bowl.....
  5. Really blow your mind... Nissan GTR ALSO has black A-pillars
  6. Sorry, now that I have wiped my tears and came off depression watch, I can post again... I have to say, I am going to miss the UC vs UL games... they are always great games, unfortunately the last two years have gone the wrong way, and BOTH times we had to deal with our top QB being hurt... Not making excuses but no way did having Kay hurt the entire 2nd half help us... And a rare drop by McClung doesnt happen, and I am in a very different mood today. Disappointing end to a strange season under yet another new head coach. I saw some flashes of greatness and some points of confusion this year, including 2 losses that were total head scratchers... The loss to Illinois, which our top QB was still hurt from his shoulder and our #2 goes out for the rest of the season in the middle of hte game, was disappointing. the loss to USF was unexplainable and weird... we have OWNED USF since we joined the BE, so that is really what made the season tough. It really boiled down to last night to explain the season, and we played tough football in shitty weather and unfortunately the cards didnt turn our way. I just hope we have done enough to help our resume to get out of this stupid AAC. We beat a Rutgers team going to B1G and the lowly Purdue team, and held our own against the hot commodity that is UL going to ACC... I kinda want to find our way to B12... I only hope some of you got to watch the game and can maybe have a bit of respect for us little guys down south. PS, if you did see the game, you have to admit we sure do have some BADASS uniforms for special games.
  7. I'm not going to hunt for it in here... Did anyone post the link from bleacher report that had osu as the #1 school of the BCS era?
  8. You mean like every c5?
  9. Yup, this has been going on for awhile. The Tesla founder is (rightfully) arguing against state legislated local dealer laws, that require all new vehicle sales to go through dealerships (third party) than being sold directly from manufacturer to the consumer. They say this "protects" the customer from unequal pricing, etc... However Tesla is making the strong and realistic argument that the actual practice is dealerships add mark-up and are adding cost to the vehicle, including maintenance and parts agreements, etc.. that he wants to avoid. Here are a couple articles on the matter: http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/tesla-vs-the-auto-dealers-america http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_24612314/tesla-faces-uphill-fight-against-dealers-lawmakers http://www.popsci.com/cars/article/2013-09/how-car-lobbyists-shut-tesla-motors-business-model-out-texas
  10. Thanks! I was planning on checking, just was being lazy. I guess my memory of pain and suffering was worse than reality, lol
  11. At the end of the year, yes, but it sure as hell wasnt without a LOT of drama. and Im not necessarily pointing at you; just a generalization. ....then we proceeded to get massacred by a UF team, that I contend would have destroyed just about anyone that game, then came all the "i told you so" 's and the big hurt on BE reputation, lol
  12. I bet you weren't saying that when the Bearcats were 12-0 in 2009.... there was a LOT of bitching that they somehow ended the season #3 (#2 in some polls).... and when it was 8-0, 9-0, 10-0; they were still behind 1 loss teams if memory serves me correctly.... but wait, thats because the Big East was a weak conference, right? I have to say it again, a lot of what you guys are saying feels a bit hypocritical from what i have gotten ribbed about by the same crowd in the past... I put on my flame suit and await the forthcoming fire now..
  13. Maybe you guys know how I feel... Every year I dealt with "their conference is weak they don't belong ahead of schools with worse records". Including our 13-0 season where we were behind 1 loss schools a lot of the time...
  14. What an awesome couple days of football!
  15. You guys really should stop predicting blowouts and winning by 60... (just giving you a hard time) The one thing that makes big rivalry games so great is that stats and records get thrown out the window... they are always unpredictable. I hope OSU pulls it out for sure, but this can't be good for BCS points... (FSU is handling their rivalry game fairly well).
  16. I'm also in agreement... John Harbaugh leaving for UM seems like a very minute possibility, those dumb kinds of rumors always open up for high profile coaching positions...
  17. You know... John Harbaugh was an assistant coach at UC.... just another random Bearcat fact I thought I would share, lol.
  18. One challenge, we have a QB right now (now that he has healed his shoulder he is back to his strong self) that is the 4th most accurate QB in college football... and for the first time in YEARS I dont know who comes in after he leaves... (senior) I think Bennie Coney could be a good answer, or maybe Gunner Kiel who transferred from ND (5 star recruit)... but havent seen enough of them to know...
  19. In future news... I have another reason to be excited for the 2014 season... we now play OSU and Miami (Fla) next year... that should definitely help with our SoS... I just hope we can manage to win at least one of those games.... (no way against OSU at this point, they are going to mop the floor with us the way they are playing vs the way we are)
  20. http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings
  21. Happens often, including several times in the past.... I specifically remember for the 2009 game, SECPN kept suggesting the NCG game should have been Bama/Fla
  22. You guys are dealing with what I have dealt with for years in the Big East... When the general public, media charged, believes your conference is weak, it's tough to move up in rankings because even if several teams in your conference has very high winning records, 'it's only because the teams your playing aren't very good'... I would even surmise that if it weren't for the 23 game win streak, OSU wouldn't be sitting at 3 right now... If espn could rank them lower without the people going WTF, they probably would... Disclaimer: not comparing BE to OSU, just the media perception/analogy...
  23. Jonathan gets it... In other related news, I think FSU OSU could be an awesome matchup... I would love the dream world where the sec is pushed out of the title game... And isomers friends and I were discussing what the ESPN biased reporting is doing for the sec and creating a reality where the SEC IS the best conference (because people believe what they hear on the tv to be true... So if the media says the sec is the best, then it must be, so that's where you want to play if you're a top athlete). Last years nfl draft might be indicative of that... Sec had 63, three times more than b1g who had 20... And twice more than the next closest conference of the ACC... (Though OSU can claim the most overall draftees in the last 20 years... At least as of 2011...)
