  1. Hey man whats up.........This is OSU 4 SHO on the shoforum. I remember talking to you often when I was on there years ago. Nice cars. I am thinking about picking up a gen 2 SHO MTX in about a year for my project car. Sold all of my SHO's and have been into Audi/VW lately. Cars look great. Need to meet up sometime. +Rep
  2. MKV GTI and MS3 are the tops in their class. Just depends on what you want.
  3. Nice car...........I miss my 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro 6 speed with GIAC every day. Brilliant Red looks nice.
  4. I would do handling and brake mods as stated. Some good pads, fluid and SS lines. A good cup kit/coilovers, sway bars. Short shifter and some light weight wheels with good rubber. Or he can rice it up with just an intake, tail lights and neons.
  5. It was too long, but funny.
  6. Thats what I heard also^^^^^^
  7. I hate Ben stiller also, but the movie was good. Worth seeing to relax and laugh.
  8. Shanton said it in his initial post.........That is what I imagine he is talking about.
  9. lol, I have no doubt...........My fiancee bought me all this stuff along with some other products for xmas........She is def a keeper. I will no doubt be getting more and more into detailing. This is my big start graduating from store bought products. Thanks again.
  10. Thants pretty funny. Good thing you tore it apart.......
  11. Thanks a lot. This really gives me a good idea of how to modify my technique. I think I have an orange pad......not certain though. I bought a 6 pad set. After our wedding (Sept 6th) I will be sure to pick up some of the MF towels you recommended. Thanks again for the information. One last question for now: how do you tell if the pad you are using is broken down too much to use again?
  12. I was looking for some information on how to use my Porter Cable 7424 buffer correctly. This is a list of the products that I have: PC 7424 6" pads: Black, Yellow, White, Blue Menzerna micro polish Menzerna intensive polish Glanz wax MF spounge MF buffing towels I have used it twice on my Black VW Rabbit with good results, but not perfect. I was told you should use the least aggressive polish first, then step it up.... The first time I did both micro and intensive followed by the wax. About 3 days ago I just did the micro and the wax. It turned out great in most lights, but with a good eye, you could see there were still lots of scratches on the paint. I was wondering if anyone could help me pair the pads with the polishes and at what speed setting on my PC buffer. I have no doubt if I find out the proper pairing of what I already have, I will be able to get my car up to my standards. Thanks a lot guys. Also, what washing practices do you suggest for the pads? Also, what MF drying towels do you recommend?
  13. Thanks a lot. I looked at the stack-on website and they had just what we were looking for. Looks like the small 1 door hand gun safe will only be $101.50 shipped. Thanks again.
  14. Anyone familiar with gun safes? My dad and I are looking to get one to hold about 5 handguns. They seem to be really expensive, or too small. Let me know if anyone can help. Thanks Aaron
  15. Nice times man...........sucks about the trans though. Let me know if you need any help with your gutting/trans build. Thanks for the ride at MWDF3, crazy fast. See you around.
  16. Damn man.........your luck sucks lately. You have to do a SHO engine in the Festiva. They can get over 30mpg on the highway in Tauri, I imagine a car that weighs half as much will get even better mileage. The engines are cheap as hell, and they are pretty much bullet proof. Do rod bearings and plug well seals and you are good to go. I was into SHO's for a long time, had 2 of them........... Let me know if you need any help with your project, or SHO info. Go to shoforum.com or just let me know. Good luck on finding a new car.
  17. The coil pack problem is only an issue on the B6 1.8T cars, 2002-2005. The 2.0T does not have any issues to my knowledge of blowing them any more than any other car. I used to have a B7 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro 6 speed. I had GIAC chip for 15k miles and loved it. Great car, a lot of fun all year round. I miss that car almost every day. I only had one problem in the first 24k miles, a coolant flange broke, covered under warranty with an A4 loaner. As Jones said, CPO gets you 6/100k warranty, and 05 and 06s had free maint for the first 50k miles. Also, they were the last for transferable CPO warranty if I am not mistaken. The 2.0T is an amazing engine. As Jones said, a chipped 2.0T is putting out K04 1.8T power, and add a turbo back exhaust and you are putting out fully supported K04 1.8T numbers. They are putting out around 300wtq and 215-230whp. You could also look at some CPO S4's, their values have been plumiting do to the gas prices and general economy. I have found some CPO 2005 S4's with about 40k miles on them for around 25k!!!! Good luck, and hopefully we will see a new Audi post soon.
  18. Not liking that........... The R8 looks much better in one of the pics.
  19. Glad you are ok. Always tough to second guess your actions when in an accident. I totalled my 95 SHO and felt like a complete loser. But it was an honest mistake that I learned a great deal from. Again, glad you are ok. Look into the A4, or the R32/GTI. Safe cars that are fun to drive, and quality.
  20. They are actually really fun to GO watch. I went to Bristol TN 2 years ago and had a blast. You can bring coolers full of beer into the stands, and watch the race. Pretty sweet. Boring as hell on TV though.
  21. http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/08/the_large_hadron_collider.html Only a small chance of a world ending black hole. lol Pretty crazy stuff.
  22. Interesting next vehicle........ I def wouldn't sell that for a Civic SI..... Go look at the MKV GTI's or something.
