Don't dress for the job you have,... dress for the job you want. EDIT: You don't have to drop big bucks to do that. Just saying
-
These are what I typically purchase. I have had slightly better shoes... but car lots are hell on nice shoes, so I refuse to spend the money nicer brands command

Tried any websites like rockthepost.com?

Congrats! Car looks great too. One of those timeless body styles that never seems "dated" -
We had a driver accidentally go through an EZ Pass lane that was unmanned also. Really similar situation. Traffic behind him.. no one in that lane to take the money. They sent us a bill for the toll + an admin fee of $100ish. We called and complained and they did lower it since it was a first time. But the initial bill sent was for over $100
-
IIRC the admin fee is close to $100.....

Fixed GTR tax is ridiculous. Hopefully Buschur coming to market will help. I know damn well Dave will make some good money on his parts, but I don't think he will gouge like everyone else does.

Major mods IIRC: Alpha 12 turbo kit Shep stage four trans AMS heads stock block titan stroker kit "shep spec" pistons Syvecs EMS Crazy how "tame" the car seems running 8.6x @ 170....

:barf: Probably won't go that route then, lol.

I thought AJ did, but he quit the site I assume and I didn't know how to contact him. Yep, IIRC that is AJs company. I'll try to contact him from the site. Thanks, I couldnt remember the name until I seen it We were going to do it ourselves initially. The more I think about it, the more I realize that kind of work is not my specialty. The money I could make doing what I am actually good at would more than negate any savings attempting to do it myself. Plus I don't have to worry about screwing it up. Looks good! Yeh please shoot me his info. I would like a couple quotes atleast.

Looking to finish a large garage area (3600 sq ft) It needs to be durable so cars can drive on it, etc. I also want it to look nice. Think something like a garage/showroom. Any recommendations on who I should call for estimates?

If a car goes up a 2 mile hill at 30 miles per hour and instantly turns around, how fast does it have to go down the hill to average 60 miles per hour for the whole trip? :gabe:

Short Term, I 100% agree. "Bottle rocket" stocks. They seem to defy gravity. Until the powder runs out.....

Not sure if SRS You playing in this stuff is a whole different story than a young man sticking his entire net worth into it. http://my.voyager.net/~jrrandall/StkChrt0.GIF You don't seriously believe that astronomical PE ratios can be sustained for anything long term do you? Your entry position into Tesla stock would probably represents early 90s NASDAQ. While I believe Tesla is in for a dip, you will still be ok. Anyone hopping into Tesla now, would be like the poor saps that got into the .com game in late 99-2000. If I were you, I would take some profits. If you don't want the immediate tax burden but still want downside protection, maybe you could Buy a Put or something. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.

Walk into Hollywood Casino and throw it all on Black. *end sarcasm You should most definitely diversify it if you want to play in the market. If you want to make big money on short term semi liquid investment you need A LOT of money. 75k just isn't much nowadays. Don't get me wrong, you are in GREAT shape for someone your age. Just don't get ahead of yourself, and don't look for stuff that sounds too good to be true. Stick with what you know. Sometimes the answer is to leave the money on the sideline (ie. a money market account, or online savings that has a decent yield on it) and wait for an opportunity. Some of my best investments were because I had fast access to cash that no one else did at that given time. Clay and Doc have given you solid advice

AMS hitting 233 in the mile. (with stock final drive) Old news, but with all the talk of "topping out" I thought it relevant. http://vimeo.com/39728445

He just went 8.90s in the 1/4 a couple weeks ago. What people are doing in the GTRs (and still retaining streetability) is just nutty.

Anyone work for chase dealing with foreclosures?
2highpsi replied to wnaplay1647545503's topic in Dumpster
Did you search the property on the county auditors website to see the listed owner. You can also search the sheriff's website to see if the house has already sold at auction (which technically has to happen before the bank takes possession) If the sale hasn't happened yet, you may be able to work out a short sale. Chase is a mofo when it comes to them though. They held one of the mortgages against the home I purchased (on short sale) and they took FOREVER to process everything. -
I no longer work for Ford, so this opinion is no longer biased. I could write a book about Ford's fuck ups and short comings. The 3.5 ecoboost however I feel is quite the opposite. I have sold literally hundreds of these trucks to people. A great deal of them being close friends. (Who don't have a problem letting me know when an issue arises) The ONLY issue I have seen out of the hundred of trucks were 4 instances. 3 of which were simple ECU reprograms when the engine FIRST came out. The last problem was when a guy "didn't like" his front plate being off to the side. He (on his own) put the plate bracket in the middle of the bumper blocking off all air supply to the intercooler. I feel so strongly about the quality of the the 3.5 ecoboost, that my next family ride is going to be a crew cab ecoboost fx4 with the appearance package. Slightly preowned though. Give me a make or model, and I'll find you "problems" with the platform on the Internet. Don't get me wrong, some platforms suck... But people need to keep in mind to do some of their own due diligence and not take an Internet article as "the gospel"

I'm fully aware of the market. It just doesn't make sense to me. The guy who buys this thing to restore it and flip it, I get. It's the end user willing to pay a quarter million dollars for this thing that blows my mind. Like I said, a real original rare piece.. Sure makes sense. But seriously this will be a vin plate, block, and bell housing. Nothing will be original about it. Yet everyone will tout, matching numbers, blah blah blah. Oh well, I'll just just chalk it up with "hellaflush".. Yet another car phenomenon I don't quite understand
-
I just don't see the allure of a car like this. OMG MATCHING NUMBERS!!!!.... Who gives a shit when it comes to a car that far gone? There will be nothing factory left of it after a restoration.
