Lock it, please, if need be. Found a car. Thank you all for participating. I ended up with a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT. For those who don't know, it's basically a reskinned Toytoa Matrix with the GTS 180hp motor and 6sp w/upgraded suspension and brakes over the base models. Plus, a few other cool little options, like a built in plug for your laptop or whatever and other little shits. Every single thing works on it. Needs new tires. No major wear and tear on exterior/interior. Even all the damn speakers work. Bought it about 2k under book from an older gentleman just inside the Indiana border. Fun, useful daily... with an 8200rpm redline. Admittedly, you have to really work it when you want it to behave like something other than an econo car. But that's the whole point, I guess. haha

Born in LA. Lived off and on out West (Southern Cali and Nevada) for years. Honestly, it's kinda exciting. :woowoo:

But at 6k plus the cost of going to Cali, this far past my budget. I tried looking a bit at some VW's but just couldn't seem to get into them. There are some vw's I do like, but either won't fall into my budget, I can't find a decent one of or aren't daily drivery/utilitarian enough, I guess. I really can't find a Ford that fits the criteria (budget, utility, personal opinion). Other than a SVT Focus but finding a good one within budget has been hard. Maybe an old SHO... Decent RSX's seem to pan out a little high in cost, too if you can find one that was taken care of. This has been harder than I thought so far. lol As far as Hondas, I wouldnt mind an SI or Integra/RSX, though.

He mentioned there were a couple near him but I haven't seen any around there when I've looked online or craigslist. If you have any addresses or info, let me know. Or a half decent damn site for looking for rentals.

Preferably: 1. At least 3 bed/1.5 bath 2. Must have fenced yard 3. SW, W, NW, N, NNE areas due to commute. (Have to commute to highway 42 and 33 area.) 4. 1200/month max though $1300 could be considered for something really appealing to us. 5. Must accept dogs. 2 very well behaved, non-destructive dogs. We haven't had a late payment since moving to Ohio years ago. (Not even a single bill.) No complaints and can even get letters of recommendations from our neighbors and current landlord. We do not smoke in the house (I quit over 2 years ago and my gf is currently quitting.) So, broke the lcd (haptic screen still good) on my HTC EVO 3D. I see there are some phones here for sell, but I'm unsure what I can use, what's comparable to my current phone, etc. I know I can buy a new phone and give Sprint the DEC # and be all good but I don't know if it can be any Android phone from any place, ie; Verizon, TMobile, or what. Can someone offer some ideas/used phones? I need one SOON. Thanks.

Looking for a non-soul crushing daily for 4k or under. 1. No convertibles, no vans, no trucks. (This doesn't include suv's.) 2. Prefer a stick but will entertain other ideas depending 3. Must have some utility. In other words, no S2000 or Miata types, for example. Thanks everyone.

My main concern with it and why I think it may've not taken off, two-fold. 1. Safety. I would be a bit concerned driving anywhere with a crosswind. For an old bug with no power that camper can't weight shit plus, the tow hitch's center is far off the ground attached to the highest part of the bug. Just how strong is the roof, too? 2. Hippies don't use fuckin' campers nor can they afford them. Done deal.
