Have qty 2. Bought at Pottery Barn Kids. One is Medium Blue as shown, the other is same pattern only Navy blue. Covers are washable and have been laundered already. No damage or anything, always well cared for. Both are like brand new. Sell for an overpriced but real $150+ each. Super comfy and will allow a grown man to fall asleep watching movies with the kids in them even. Ask me how I know . These are not the small cheesy ones. That's my 75lb dog next to it for scale. $50 Each or both for $90. Tim

So a fellow car guy and someone I've detailed vehicles prior, Steve bought this super nice Jeep back in 2016 and had me correct the paint and seal it up back then. 32k+ miles and about 4 years later it was time to move on and get it cleaned up for sale so the new owner would be able to enjoy it from day one. It's off to Florida later this week but for now it was mine for one day. For this detail Steve opted for my Basic Polish & Protect. It's one step-up from the Prep for Sale and while not considered a paint correction, the product I used combined with the proper pads got it back to 100% perfect without much trouble. Clearly the vehicle hasn't been off road and his wife uses it as a daily mall-crawler keeping it garaged and cleaned at nearly all times. Overall it came out great. Fully corrected and while Jeep Wranglers don't have the clearest paint, this one turned out pretty good for what the vehicle allows. Gloss is definitely there and the metallic flake really POPS! when the sun is out. Today was a great day for it. Onto the show!

Not in Ohio. I can pull data and crunch most states. Have yet to ever see it flat across age groups though. The infection rate nationwide really hasn't budged. We've been tracking 8% for a while. Ohio is at 7%. That's a cumulative number thus you will see some fluctuations week to week. Really it's influenced by where the testing is done. Hot spots of course will be higher statewide for example it will level.
-
Really depends too on the age of those infected. I've not tracked the ages of the positives in TX or those regions but in Ohio the mortality rate YTD for the younger groups is low. Most of what I'm reading about is that the Masses of cases are in the younger groups. In Ohio from the 0-19, 20-29 and even the 30-39 year old groups we've seen 27k+ cases but only 30 deaths. Contrast that with the older populations of 70-79 and 80+ where we've seen 9,800 cases but 2,300+ deaths. I think where inner city ares like that of Harris County could see an impact is in the poor communities of people that are in poor health. Most are obese, eat like crap, etc. and are generally higher risk regardless of age. That's where I think the most important learning aspect of this year comes from is personal responsibility in how we care for ourselves. It goes well beyond washing hands and wearing masks, it starts from what we put in our bodies and how we stay healthy.

Looks super clean. Seat wise, for a few hundred bucks they can easily be re-dyed, will match perfectly and last. Would look brand new.

Good to hear! That beauty for those that don't remember: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129681 Thank you sir! About 35-40% of the vehicles I do are black. Haha on the next ride. I still have no idea. Laugh but I spent a day tooling up and down Riverside with my nieghbors Civic Type R pushing and pushing it and loved it. Not a fan of the kiddo look but damn that thing handles awesome! Has a lot going for it including they are hard to find new.

This Weeks Detail: All of my details come to me as referrals, typically from previous customers. This one is from a Facebook Page in Dublin where evidently a group of moms is talking about some cars I did previously This Dublin area mom with good taste in cares picked up a 2014 S4 6-Speed as she was itching to get back into a manual transmission. The downside to the car is that it has 120k on the ODO but honestly the interior is 9/10 and the car really was just in need of a strong detail. At some point the vehicle had some paint work that was done pretty well but left tons of over-spray and the panels themselves were never really polished out like the needed to be to help it look great. Brook, decided on my Premium Enhancement Polish to help really knock-down the swirls and get the Phantom Black Pearl Metallic Flake to really POP! We also decided on a dual layer ceramic coating to help her day-forward in keeping it clean and really putting an nice candy like glow on the Pearl finish. It corrected nicely and overall I give it about 85%+ correction. It's best to leave the deeper scratches and not chase them, especially given the re-paint in some areas. Thickness was good but one never knows for sure how much clear is there to work with. Now onto the pics of the Audi that she really intended on buying, a nice glossy finish with depth and clarity vs a muted swirled up worn looking sedan.

I'll add that they are nice cars. I LOVE the Recaro's. Have detailed several of these and have yet to find anyone that doesn't like them. The loaded up ones have a nicer interior than you would expect for a compact car like this.

it also goes a long way when the age groups on the rise are younger. In Ohio we sit at about 82% of our cases under age 70 yet that same group only makes up about 23% of the deaths. The YTD trend in hospitalizations and deaths track upwards in age too. Very apparently too. I encourage everyone to break out the .csv file Ohio provides and to track it there. It contains all the information vs the reported on data that tends to make up the covid dashboard and the information DeWine tweets and shares. Reported on dates and data are really irrelevant.

Have a friend driving from Ohio to California and back over two weeks so I Polished the front end and fenders and then wrapped it in blue tape for him. Its not a brand new van but newer and in really good shape. This should help. Im OCD so i also treated the tape with some Optimum Optiseal so it sheds water. We gave it a good test and he just laughed. I also hit the windshield with Griot's fine glass polish then coated it. Tested it out with a hose and he was amazed. Super smooth wipers and water just rolls off cleanly. Griswalds are on thier way Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

So a fellow member of CR has a great daily driver that has served him well for the past 7+ years and felt it was time to get it refreshed. We all fall behind in keeping our rides looking great and over winter and given all that's going on this year, the car scene has certainly seen it's share of downers that kept our heads out of it. That said, it was time to breath a little life back into his ride so that going forward it would be super easy to maintain and keep it looking great. Nick brought me his 2013 Focus ST to get the Basic Polish & Protect package special that I posted about several weeks back. This detail option is perfect for removing oxidation Road grime build-up and scuffs from heavily weather-worn finishes. It is not a paint correction package, but the use of a machine polisher combined with its super-micro abrasive technology polishing agents will smooth out fine blemishes greatly reducing the appearance of swirls & imperfections while brightening the paint’s color to enhance the gloss of the protective sealant. It's a dramatic improvement with results that always impress. Nick can chime in to comment on how it turned out in his eyes, but from a detail perspective it was rather impressive. Thanks again for trusting in my work Nick and I'm glad to see the car is serving you well and looking so nice still. Enjoy! The weather this weekend wasn't great but I did manage to get a break in the way of rain stopping for long enough to get a few pics and for Nick to pick up the car without having to drive it home in the rain. The pics here don't do it justice for sure but if you see it at cars and coffee, I'm sure it will stand out as a super clean ST.

Thoughts on Honda Accord 2.0T......with a 6 speed
TTQ B4U replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Passing Lane
Good feedback. I did a little research on them but honestly, I'll leave it stock if there's nothing as simple as a piggyback like what I have on my current car simply because I want to keep warranty on this one. On my list for sure though. -
So a friend and former customer of mine from my technology days upgraded his daily driver to this fully loaded beauty of an Audi. What a great daily this one makes. Outfitted in Tango Red Metallic and the black optic package I think the color combo with the matt accepts and wheels looks fantastic. I'm not normally a huge lover of Reds but lately the beauties that have presented themselves including this one are really swaying me. In for a New Vehicle Polish and Protect, Ken looked to have a dual layer ceramic coating applied and the factor swirls removed. As a fathers day bonus I also put two layers of wheel coating on the wheel faces as German Cars are notorious for brake dust on factory pads. Overall the swirls weren't real bad but it did have some and removing them certainly helps the color and metallic flake pop! Onto the pics! Dealer installed swirls weren't horrible but very noticeable under light. Finished up in time before the clouds and eventual rain rolls in I love the wet-look from a good polishing and a few layers of ceramic It's subtle but there. Metallic flake looks great in the sun. Photos don't do it justice at all.

Yes. The reserve you request is negotiated by them. I battled back and forth. I have talked to several high volume people selling through them and they guided me on how to handle it. Their approach seems to be to balance securing a sale but also stepping down the reserve on NEW sellers like me. I vet. with more sales can secure a higher reserve. I didn't budge much and was prepared to go elsewhere but then they caved a bit. They also reserve first right of purchase at the reserve if you're sale isn't met. THAT to me kinda pissed me off as they tried to really set me up for a low reserve and if for some reason the vehicle didn't sell they would have then swooped in to buy it at that price. In the end look into both Hemmings and BaT.

Thoughts on Honda Accord 2.0T......with a 6 speed
TTQ B4U replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Passing Lane
Good to know. Still won't be up to the power of the Audi or my Q though. Audi was a Stage 3 Dual Pulley and the Q has a piggy back on it too. I'll be driving an auto Touring model soon again.....as I drove one when looking at the Q but it didn't have the power I wanted. That's back when the 2.0T was rare though. -
Thoughts on Honda Accord 2.0T......with a 6 speed

Haha! I know right? Son starts college and daughter isn't far behind. One of our next fun purchase is going to have windows facing an ocean -
So the hunt for a new daily driver is underway and I'm still kicking around all kind of options and after looking around I came across some pretty damn good deals on 2018 and 2019 Accord 2.0T's. I Get the new 10spd is quicker, etc.. but even asking price of a 19-23k miles Sport with a 6 speed is in the very low $20k range and I'm not gonna lie, that's a damn attractive price. Anyone here care to chime in on what I'm missing or overlooking here? This may just be the car I drive for 10yrs and as my son moves off to college I can then look at a more "fun" third car. Decent looking, handles very nice, moves out okay for plebeian daily but with the fun factor and somewhat unique appeal of a manual, I'm having a dad moment here....Thoughts? Value is strong which is no-doubt a driving factor here.

IMO we over-reacted as a whole and didn't focus enough on where the true responses should have been, namely congregate living facilities. We still continue to roll out shit like it applies the same to everyone when the data clearly shows that's not the case.

looks awesome man! can't wait to see it in person. you going to be at cars and coffee with it?
