So a fellow Audizine Member came to me with a pretty nice daily that he fixed up after stealing it with less than 2k miles on it thanks to a salvage title. The car had a side impact that resulted in a number of airbag deployments, and body damage, but the owner is resourceful and did a bang-up job (pun intended) getting it back to great condition. No paint work was done as the body parts were sourced from salvage as well and already matched. Looking over this car that now has 36k miles on it and made its way from Beverly Hills, then a few years in Vegas to now in Columbus, we decided to go with my Premium Enhancement Polish Package as he was looking for great results but not chasing perfection. From there he decided upon the $95 bump to a 6-12 month super hydrophobic ceramic coating. Lastly he decided to protect some of the trim such as the cowling and rear diffusion with trim coating. Anyway, the paint was pretty hammered with swirls and has a number of stone chips. Per my suggestion he brought me the Dr. Colorchip kit and I'll be putting it to use in the morning helping it look even better. Overall the car turned out great. Again, not perfect but I'd say there's a solid 80% reduction of imperfections and swirls on the low end and in some areas more than that. Onto the pics: Swirl City: After Now she's representative of a clean German Daily Trim Coating will help keep the rear valance looking new As an added bonus since he saw a clean engine on my car, I thought I would treat him a cleaning of his. No before pic as it was a spur of the moment decision to do it but overall it was dusty and muddy in some spots. Think of 2 years worth of Las Vegas dust.

Thanks Clay. The wheels and the bronze shadow chrome touch they put on the accents really sets it off. Those Brakes too....

So one of our own upgraded from a CTS-V to a new house with a two car garage and then had to replace the V and fill the garage with a nice ride. Looking at all the choices out there, it becomes easy to see why he chose the new Genesis G70 and loaded it up with goodies including the Sport Package. Working back with Draco, the plan was clear. Clear up a small amount of imperfections and dealer swirls. Check/Check....this car is 100% corrected and simply stunning. Next was the move to apply 3 layers of CarPro Cquartz including two layers of hard-coat and a 3rd top layer of their super hydrophobic Gliss product. I'm just going to leave these images here as they speak to how well this thing turned out. The interior is just as sharp and overall, the car is on par with the best Germany has to offer and in some ways it's far better. Thanks again to Draco for allowing me the opportunity to work on this beauty and damn you for enticing my desire to get one myself!

Sounds to me like the entire company needs a re-structure and branding about how it is run. There's no need for a union when run correctly and thus both sides need to be removed and built over again. Until that happens they are going to continue to have problems on both sides, hurt their own company and not benefit their customers. In the mean time people will continue to move to other products and leave the loyalty GM should have on the ground. Time to rip off band aids and stop putting lipstick on the pigs.

Better off going to a private OD and getting real lenses vs white label knock off ones. There is a difference and you do get what you pay for. Low single vision Rx's may not see it as much. If you're above a +/-2 or have a progressive you absolutely will. Again, PM me if you have questions.

Get a pair of Nike Avid's. They are Rx-able and even the stock lenses are good.

Frog dumpsters or something like that is what we used. Nice 10ft by 8ft by 8ft size. $250 per pick up. You can save money by putting a curb alert for a lot of the items that aren't actually trash. I lined up a bunch of good stuff that took up space and it was gone in 2 days. Here's what it looks like. https://photos.app.goo.gl/vUWPjzcZNu3AuQTW9

Here's the rolling rod one I have. I made my own for awhile but bought this one on Amazon as it's easy to put on and off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIlYiiCGLI

Nope. Would rather have this one. Probably the sexiest unicorn on BaT today. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2012-cadillac-cts-v-wagon-15/

Check near your gas riser outside. Years back when Columbus fixed/replaced them they did ours and left a quarter sized hole in the concrete block. Dumb asses. Turns out that's where a couple mice over the years came into our place and we only discovered it when doing our remodel. Outside it was hidden below the landscaping/ground cover thus I never suspected it. In terms of traps, YouTube Bucket Trap. Get a small pale or best a 5 gallon bucket and make one. In the Spring and fall I put one outside our house near the corner by our crawl space, etc as we have a wooded lot behind us and they come looking for a winter place. This spring I caught 5 in one night and several for the subsequent nights. Never would have eve suspected mice that close to the house outside so regularly like that. After it goes empty for a couple days I take it down. I'll be putting it out again here shortly given the nights are cooling. Seems to thin the heard spring and fall as added protection from any unwanted pests. Standard traps.....this style is awesome and the best I've used. I have 6 or so of these I have deployed over the years too. They always work solid. https://www.amazon.com/trap-Outdoor-Indoor-Best-Reusable/dp/B07DZQMT6R/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=mouse+traps&qid=1568370592&s=gateway&sr=8-12

I think the regular XSE trim is one of the most stylish and better looking plebeian sedans on the road. Has more amenities than the TRD Version too. Neighbor has one in silver with the black roof and red leather. While Honda's 2.0l Turbo performs better, driving both side by side gives one an appreciation for a silky smooth V6 as a trade off that might be worth it. Too early to say how reliable the Honda 2.0 is going to be long term and same for their 10spd Auto. Camry's will run forever though. I'm getting older and with a son about to hit college and a daughter right after, I am a fan of the newer Avalon. Decent looks, nice amenities, reliable and cheap for what it is. I'll leave the TRD packages for the kids.

that would be quite a bit from a simple JB4. I bumped mine up a mere 3-4psi and it's plenty for a daily. it's the gobs of torque down low added that make it fun. IMO get in touch with Burger and see what they offer in the way of options.

Thank you sir! I love the styling of this car. I'm not sure how it drives but just moving it around I can say Joe has a nice gear box set up in it. Super short throw and just clicks into gears. Very nice.

Congrats man! Looks great. I like them. My boss picked up a G80 and loves it. She came from a fully loaded A7 and doesn't miss it. I like the G70 and probably would have worked up a deal on one when I got my Red Sport but they weren't out yet. I've got a little over a year before I make a move but the Genesis line will likely be in the running when I do.

So a friend of mine, Steve who brought his wife's MBZ over last weekend couldn't wait for his "blue suite" to get a cleaned up and coated so he booked this past weekend to make that happen. He bought the car just a couple years back but has never had it fully detailed and corrected. Over just a short time the car became covered in moderate swirls and had a few random scratches that needed addressed. It looked great clean but never really "stood out" in the crowed in terms of how the paint really appears. It's a beautiful blue metallic and while mother nature really didn't cooperate with me for pics I hope what pics I do have do it justice. I did come in needing some love but left with nearly perfect paint. He chose to go with my Premium Enhancement Polish Package which typically knocks the imperfections down quite a bit, upwards of 75% or so. However, I have the process pretty dialed in and it's not out of the ordinary to get far more. This time the paint (which is fantastic), thick, clear and easily corrected, yielded darn near 100% perfection. Only a couple minor deeper marks remain. In terms of protection for everything, we did it all. 3 Layers of CarPro Ceramic, two base-coat hard-coat Cquartz then a single layer of their super hydrophobic Gliss coating. To help keep costs under control the third layer is on the horizontal only surfaces which need the most protection anyway. We also added in a full treatment of glass coating ensuring rain will fly off and ice come winter won't adhere as easily. Wheel Faces were coated as well and the difference could be felt as it was applied. I polished and prepped them and the cool thing about GYEON products is you can actually feel it bond as it's applied. Lastly, the black trim was also coated so that going forward it will remain dark and appear as if it was just dressed. Anyway, onto the pics and one brief 20 second video of a before and after of the correction only phase on the front fender. It was later in the day so not very bright and the sun kept hiding behind a mix of dark clouds, but overall I think they do well. Swirl City: But not for long.... Video Comparison:

I use the site nextdoor.com for a source of local items including referrals for various projects. I used Altered Scapes who did our Paver Patio with great success and just recently a guy named Scott Shaffer who I used for electrical work at our home. I picked up his information from Nextdoor based on other reviews of him and am very glad I did. EXCELLENT quality and craftsmanship of his installation and he really knows his stuff. He's a lifetime electrician/Journeyman of the trade who is now retired but like me, stays busy with a side gig of his own. I had him run a larger amp circuit and dedicated line of 110v to my garage so our spare refrigerator and another stand up 5ft deep freeze could have their own lines and breaker in the junction box. In addition, I had him run a 220v outlet and connection to my 60 gal Compressor. Both look great and he didn't short-cut any steps or time. Not much to see except nice clean line-runs in the rafters of my basement crawl space but attached is a pic of the cut-off box next to my compressor. Price wise Scott is very fair and reasonable. Honestly, I made a friend this week, I didn't just meet a new service provider. He's a good family guy who is making use of his years of experience while he enjoys dare I say retirement Give him a call or a text. Scott is at 614-395-1409 Side note, He also has a 35,000 mile Buick Grand National GNX. I love the fact that he actually drives it too. It's not just a collectors car sitting around. Not as many miles over the past 10 years but early on for sure. It may be coming to me for an exterior once-over too. That would be cool!

So Joe came to me with his RX7 that's been in storage and ridden with dust and holograms from the last person who polished on it using a rotary but didn't have the best handle of using such a tool. The goal here was to get it ready inside and out and under the hood so he could list a respectable looking RX7 for sale. The Clean & Prep for Sale or Trade package is targeted at vehicles that are in need of a strong exterior and interior clean up prior to selling or trading the vehicle where the current owner does not want to invest in a machine polish yet does want to maximize the appearance and offer a freshly cleaned and protected vehicle. What we agreed to was a custom package that involved a nice light polish with an SiO2 Based polish that will and did effectively knock-down the swirls and and absolutely removed those buffer trail holograms. Overall the car actually came out better than even I expected for such a light polish. Next came the interior which was basically a full wipe down of every surface and crack and joint to remove months of dust. Same for under the hood only that's where things can be tricky given the mods and exposed items and sensitive electronics so I traded lightly and achieved what Joe was looking for in the way of clean up. I'll leave the final opinion on the outcome to Joe to share but overall, I feel the car is very presentable now and clean up will no longer be an issue for the upcoming sale. Thanks again to Joe for trusting in my work and the flexibility in his schedule as well. Now onto a few more additional pics. This pic is a bit embarrassing for me as the short drive down the street to turn it around kicked up a lot of dust that I wasn't as aware of until after the shots were taken. The joys of pure black....ugh.

Here's a sneak peak of a Clean & Prep for Sale Package that I completed last night. Joe's RX7 is IMO one of the sexiest designs of a vehicle in the last 30 years. Mazda needs to get their designers in action and back to making cars like this. Even the interior and gauges are perfect. This one should show pretty well. Full pics which are included in the package will be posted later.

I remember somewhere in the past you gave a great outline of all the concerns regarding the GM 3.6 liter motor. I am remote today on my phone only and I'm having trouble finding the thread. Would you mind you summarize the concerns regarding that engine or point me to that link/thread? I have a friend at work dead set on a 3.6l used SUV and I'd like to provide them some points to consider. Thx. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
