  1. Different with this product. The chips help from a larger footprint standpoint but there's also a non-skid property to the clear coat layer so it's not an issue. This newer version of PolyAspartic is pretty cool. I had Columbus Garage Floors out and we went and saw two customers with the exact same system installed and both sold me on it. $2800 for my 484sq ft area including filling and repairing two small cracks, grinding the joints down and filling them so the floor looks more seemless and then doing the footer outside the garage and step too. Footer will be solid light gray. Chips will be 1/4 size larger black and white with Grey background. This is the same look I'd be purchasing.
  2. If I had a garage full of super cars I would but for me and what I do, I'd either do concrete staining or Epoxy. Still on the fence but then I have one last company coming over late today to help discuss the options. Staining and sealing it up is another route as the detailing chemicals I use aren't damaging to much so it may be yet another option. I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever I go with considering what it is right now. It's not horrible but it is definitely screaming out to be finished.
  3. I will ping Eric for sure. @$2sq/ft that's CHEAP not pricey. More like $4 to $6 for the RibTrax stuff. It's better quality though. The Epoxy you had trouble with though is different. No hot pick up with PolyAspartic. It's completely different. It's the stuff they use in car dealer service drives, etc. and commercial centers. That's why it's coming in at $5-7 per sq. ft. Fun shopping for it all but damn these prices are stupid for a garage floor.
  4. yeah, but the last thing I want to deal with is 3 pieces of rubber buckling under my car. besides, what are the chances I'd get that shit to lay flat when I can't get a rolled up newspaper to do it.
  5. Agree. I would keepmine simple. Little nicer than this one but you get the idea.
  6. fair point but they are pretty ventilated and in the winter the garage is heated and I am putting a dehumidifier out there too another fair point. I've been exchanging messages with this guy who is in Canada and does detailing. Here's a video of his being cleaned. Literally a snap. I do like that the epoxy seals up the floor though. SPRING CLEANING: Jump to 1:30 to get started I think it's because it can make the average Joe's garage look so much better than shit so quickly. People like to see what is online vids or magazines in their garage. I'm just trying to justify double the price / value which isn't cheap.
  7. So I'm waffling between a Poly Aspartic coating like this: Both look good but I do like the smooth clean look of the epoxy finish. It will hide a lot of dust and any dirt and washes up easy. Downside is the prices I'm being quoted are high as it's labor intensive. Add to it I have to completely move everything out into a storage unit that also isn't free. Total Cost is in the area of $3k-4k tops plus some of my efforts. 4-5 day project. or the SwissTrax/Ribtrax Tiles https://www.rubberflooringinc.com/garage/vented-xl-grid-loc-tiles.html Again, looks great but not as "clean" IMO. Design options are endless though and the job is a DIY Project that will take but 1-2 days tops depending on my energy level. I also like that I can mix in various types of materials on the install too. Under the work areas and cabinet areas I can do the rubber tiles that are identical to the hard plastic, etc. for less stress and more comfort when walking, etc. The main work in my garage isn't wrenching on cars, it's detailing and typical home owner stuff. What would CR Do?
  8. Love John Schreck but he's slammed and not always readily able to connect for my needs. Who else on CR does PDR work? If none here, who outside CR that you know would be a good mobile guy to connect with?
  9. can't help on the phone but if you need anything else as others have said, just post up here on CR. I would say collectively CR could prolly fix you up with just about everything you could need. I don't know your son but I have a 16yr old who is about 165lbs and and wearing Med-Large stuff with all kinds of extra clothing for kids. We are literally going through things this week too. Say the word. PM me if your wife needs anything too. My wife is going through all her stuff and lots of it is really nice stuff. Anything dude.....say the word. I'll see if we have something to help.
  10. Holy shit dude! The most important thing is family though. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. So Casey treats his wife like a queen and short while back bought her a beautiful and classy 2016 Volvo XC90 Inscription Trim. Pearl White with a two tone interior loaded with all the gadgets. When initially approaching me due to time constraints on his end the main goal was to help get the pearl finish to really "POP!" I think mission accomplished but will await Casey's input. Part of what was holding the vehicle back was his wife has a subscription based car wash plan that lays down fine swirls and loads of wax/sealant that just build up over time. Approaching this daily driver work vehicle within reason we opted for my Premium Enhancement Polish with a traditional Sealant that will carry it well into late fall before he needs to seal it up again for winter. Here's a before shot of the B-Pillars and the abuse they have taken. After a bit of work with some polish I was able to fix them right up. The paint suffered the same but the big advantage to white and especially a pearl metallic white is it tends to hide swirls really really well. Nonetheless however, those swirls take their toll on the color by making it appear dull and lifeless. With no depth or finish gloss to speak of it's nice, it's clean but it doesn't pop. Here are the after images though and now she is fully road-worth for Casey's wife to enjoy. Sorry the pics dont' do it the justice it deserves. White is tough to capture during near noon-time sunshine. Timing isn't always our friend. Thanks again Casey for trusting in my work and I do hope your wife enjoys her new ride!
  12. I'll text you shortly. Thanks man!
  13. Good thought. May check them out.
  14. Burgess Owen's speaks the truth. 5 min video well worth the watch. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  15. Let me know what you have that you'd like to get rid of. The larger the better as I'm using them for a project I'm working on with my son. PM me here and I'll come get them. Thanks in advance!
  16. Hey everyone! First, I wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU! to everyone for the support as I've built up my detailing work. A special shout-out to all those that have trusted in me to work on their vehicles and in many cases more than one of them. Last but not least, to those that have provided referrals to me over the past few years. All of which has brought to me a number of great contacts, customers and of course good friends. In efforts to back up that THANK YOU I am implementing a referral program that will PAY YOU for referring non-CR Members to me for service. The goal is to expand outside CR but still keep the business more word of mouth and referral based. I've created a special landing page here to make things easy as you can simply send them this link. http://www.reflectivesurfaces.net/cr-referral-page.html Certain Terms & Conditions Apply of course. Rewards to you are only paid only after the completion and payment on the referred service. Qualifying services are as follows: New Vehicle Polish & Protect 💲25 Premium Enhancement Polish 💲25 Elite Enhancement Correction 💲50 Signature Level Perfection 💲75 Above amounts will be paid in the form of Visa Gift Cards. Unfortunately it's not retroactive....I know, I know....but it is effective today 06/19/2019 and I plan on running with this for a bit to see how it all shakes-out. I may make some changes to the program of course but for now it's my way of saying "thanks" and doing so in way that I hope shows I mean it. Thanks everyone! tim
  17. Still stands my friend. [emoji106] Evan has to bring his Tesla over for decon too. Good thread and IMO represents much CR. I've met and interfaced in some way with dozens of CR peeps and most all are stand up guys/gals. Its part of why I'm on CR so often and for years now. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  18. Had a great day but thought this pic was worth sharing. Haha! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  19. beats waiting and bumping the scheduled detail again besides, This Bitch is so slick and coated up that Satin's Cum wouldn't stick to it. LOL at Mother Nature's rain.....
  20. So Shaun here on the board found a leftover 2018 Callaway Silverado with a blower on it and being it's pure black, the first thing he thought of was getting this baby detailed and fully corrected. It was a leftover that sat on the dealers lot long enough to have the sun begin to take it's toll on the plastic cowling and trim but I made short-order of any fading and got all the trim back to new and coated to stay that way. That wasn't enough so add in some dealer installed scratches on the tailgate and swirls (not horrible but there and noticeable) it was crying out for some help. The truck corrected to nicely and is about 98% flawless. As part of the detail, I also removed the windshield banner and another decal that was across 1/2 of the back window. The clean look is so much nicer. The truck only had 250 miles on it when purchased but he did take a long trip with her plastering 1,234 bugs to the front of it that needed removed too. Proceeding with a full New Vehicle Polish & Protect Package including coatings over everything (paint, glass, wheels, trim & chrome) was a good move, especially given it's pure back and a real PIA to care for over time. All the work however is worth it though as nothing looks as good as black when it's cleaned up and fully corrected. Onto the pics..... Thanks again Shaun for trusting in my work and letting me get this beast show car worthy. The blast down the street was fun too. Next time maybe we'll have more road to let 3rd gear really open up as it was VERY clear she wanted to push everyone ahead out of the way
  21. So Jesse here on the board aka Trouble Maker here on CR is out to sell a Low mileage 2013 Chevy Volt that honestly is a super nice pick up for someone in the market. We agreed upon my Clean & Prep for Sale or Trade Packageas it's a perfect match for what he was looking to have done. A complete cleaning of the interior less any steam cleaning. Although I did spot-check a few minor areas that needed it. Exterior wise, the result of all that was done left a glass-like smooth feel to the paint finish sealed up with a season long lasting synthetic layer of protection and finally dressing of all the trim. Included with this package are a series of photos (36 inside and out) that he's free to use to help sell the car and upon delivery, a $100 voucher to perhaps entire the new owner should they look to take the clean up to the next level. Honestly, this car will polish out like new and look even better still so if anyone here buys it, come see me. Here's a mere handful of photos with a Link to the Full Set should you be interested in viewing them all including wheels, tires, and nearly every panel view. Again, it's a super clean car for being a daily driver in Ohio and upwards of 6+ years old. If you are in need of a similar service or just don't want to spend the additional cost of having me polish a daily driver but want it to look far better than it does today, just contact me for an appointment. Happy to help! Thanks again for trusting in my work Jesse and all the best in your new venture!! -tim
  22. In addition when you purchase my Clean & Prep for Sale or Trade Service I'll not only ensure you get a great looking cleaned up vehicle, I'm adding in a new offer to help you provide the buyer of your vehicle a little something extra. You'll receive (1) certificate to offer them which will entitle them to a $100 discount off the purchase of one of my top three paint correction services for use on the vehicle I worked on and that they just purchased. Their choice of a Premium Enhancement Polish, Elite Enhancement Correction or my Signature Level Perfection Service. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. Get it detailed and some good pics. Oh wait..... Side note, I'll also be offering a $100 Voucher to Jesse that he can extend to the NEW owner regardless of them being a CR Member or not good towards my top three correction packages, the Premium Enhancement Polish, Elite Enhancement Correction or my Signature Level Perfection offering. Jesse will also receive the first 24 photos of both interior and exterior as part of my Clean & Prep for Sale or Trade offering he took advantage of having done. His thunder to let out, but the car he is selling is a really nice Chevy Volt that peeps here on CR Should take a look at. This baby will polish out fantastic too as the color is really nice. Silver Topaz Metallic which is a very light silver/green metallic. Sorry to thread jack Jesse. Nice car though for sure. More pics on Friday. Cell phone Sneak-Peak pic here.
  24. Connect that shit to your nuts and let's make sure you're okay to be up and around and on CR again Welcome back baby!
  25. So Rick, a long time member of CR, has a great daily driver. This custom ordered Roush F150 Platinum with a Supercharged Coyote Pushing 550+whp and over 520wtq is IMO the flat out nicest F150 I've seen. It's lowered just a wee-bit in order to fit it in his oversized/deep garage that for a number of reasons didn't offer the hieght he needed. The vehicle came to me in pretty clean shape but the trim was in need of good refresh to help make the overall package "POP" and that was the key goal here. The B-Pillars were marred up pretty badly too but they corrected to near perfection to match the paint. In total the car came out with 98% defect free results and looks outstanding. The overall package includes ceramic coatings over everything; Paint, Glass, Wheels and Trim. Now touch-less washes and maybe a minor wipe down by him if he's up to it are all that will be needed to meet his needs of maintaining this Tri-Color Pearl White Beast. Just to show off a bit of how faded things were getting, let's look at the tonneau cover. Here I had already coated the separator rails but not the inside portion. What a difference! Now it will stay dark for a long while and I did provide him a nice application spray that will help maintain it's looks over time since it will take quite a beating from the sun and elements. My what a difference once it was all restored to the original new color and satin finish. Overall, the only disappointment was again, weather. This paint really needs mother nature to shine the sun on her to wake up the metallic flake and show the best of it, but with hazy to cloudy skies and very little to no sun, pics are as good as I could with what time I had. I love the aluminum wheels. So raw yet clean and perfect for the color. Did I say it was the top of the line Platinum Trim? Now it shines like that too. I love the fact that the amber signals don't show from a dead on front view and the LED's speak for themselves when the lights are on. The chrome and now dark black trim really set off the front end The sound matches it's looks and power thanks to a Full Borla Exhaust. Sound clip in-hand and coming as an update since it's so perfect. Not too "LOUD" but deep and muscular so when started and rolling down the street, people won't complain but they will definitely know it's not stock. They look great too and are now coated just like the wheels. Thank you again Rick for trusting in my work. I'm glad it turned out so nice and met your expectations of getting her back into the condition she was 3-4 years back when NEW. Enjoy her!
