  1. I thought this was much better then earlier. And they obviously listened to everybody's letters and concerns.
  2. I was just checking this out earlier today. I'm going to go ahead and go to the first event and see if they will let me race. I hope they do since there will be no times on the boards, but we'll see I guess.
  3. 87 days and counting Did you find out how much extra resprays would cost by chance?
  4. Well the problem is what I've written 100 times before. The media basically runs this country and will continue to do so. They are only going to report what people want to hear and people want to hear drama. The more drama they can report, the more ratings. The fact of the matter is that if you compare the number of accidents caused by drag racing vs cell phone drivers, I bet there are MANY MANY more accidents caused by people using their cell phones. Yet you never hear about it on the news because it happens everyday. And I mean, if there are 100,000 people talking on their phone or 100,000 doing a 10 second race, there will be more accidents from the ones talking on their phone. Given the time/circumstances when both are happening most often. Then lets be honest here. What do you consider more dangerous to people around you.. Talking on your cell phone as your driving through rush hour traffic or drag racing on a road with little to no traffic. I can say when I talk on my cell phone, I can't recall anything that happened while I was driving when I'm done with the phone call. Can't recall stop signs, red/green lights, the roundabout I just went through.... none of it. When I've street raced, I can remember every tiny detail. But the big bad guy racing makes news, and people that like the drama will jump on the chance to point their fingers and say how dangerous it is. Yet every single one of them has made a mistake at one point in time, that given the right circumstance could have been deadly.
  5. Looks good!! Now will need to get you to a drag strip to see what you can get it to run! Oh and while the car is in there, swap out those heads and put a health cam in there!
  6. Couldn't agree more. I watched Part 1 and 2. Was interesting and very informative.
  7. How are they on cars running without a cage? If I knock off a 9 second pass are they gonna get pissed?
  8. Whenever someone says they are going to call their Lawyer, I always ask what their attorney's name is. The responses are always priceless. Kinda like a deer in the headlights. Or, I'm not giving that to you. surrreee....
  9. It will be a lot of fun, if they don't give people a ton of shit about the no roll cage rule. That's why I go to MCIR so often, they don't give a shit. Kil-Kare gave AtomicFusion and I crap last year when we ran 11.7's. Guy in the tower flat out wouldn't listen to us about the rule being 11.5. Made us drive all the way over to Tech and talk to them and have them notify them it's ok. Just to have them close the lanes on us 30minutes ahead of schedule becuase it was getting darker faster then they expected... /sigh
  10. Welp, after much debate I'm getting the APS Twin Turbo kit. If I went supercharger, I'd need the F1 to get the power that I'm going for, and Vortech units just don't cut it for me. Them and Paxton are one in the same and my Paxton unit on my Viper is a joke. I'm not worried about the high compression as I'm yanking the motor and replacing all the internals with forged pieces and going with a 9.5:1 compression ratio. My goal here is right at 800rwhp, but a very safe 800rwhp. Basic build is forged 427ci LS7, Water/Meth Injection, APS TT pushing out about 10lbs-12lbs. Obviously I will be able to push the car well past 1krwhp, but there is really no point. I think/hope 800rwhp will be the magic number for Traction and speed. I have no intentions on running around town in a Full out slick, so my rwhp will be dependant on what a 345/18" Drag radial will hold. Thanks for all the comments on the blower. The cars sounded awesome, just not for me..... Or my neighbors lol. Going to IPS tomorrow to finalize everything!!! Hopefully we'll have everything wrapped up 6-8 weeks. Get the car broke in and tuned and take her to the CR NTRW Track rental!! Jason
  11. You should consider Blacklick. It's Gahanna schools, but the lot sizes tend to be a little bigger, depending on what development your in. Blacklick Address and Gahanna School homes range from 180k - 3mil. It's a little more expensive on average then say a Gahanna, but I think it's worth it. Blacklick Address non Gahanna School homes range from, I think... 120-180k The main downside to living in some parts of Blacklick is having to travel through Gahanna. Cops their suck ass....
  12. Wow, I really like that. I wouldn't have got the regular CTS-V, but I can see driving this for sure! That car is bad ass! So is this thing a two seater?
  13. I'm good on owning another Dodge after my current one. And I thought GM was bad...
  14. I'd go with a Twin Turbo kit, but the entire build will be another 10k on top of what I'm already spending. Really hard for me to justify that. In addition to the fact I absolutely HATE APS as a company. It's bad enough, I plan on getting their Fuel system. I dunno what I'm gonna do now. I just wish that new camaro would have been out by now. If GM didn't have their heads so far up their asses.... /sigh
  15. Couldn't agree more, lol Second Video was MUCH better!
  16. I don't mind the cam sound. Cam sound is to be expected by a fast car, but the supercharger whine is more what I'm worried about. I wish I could hear one. Anybody here local have one that they wouldn't mind starting up in the dead of winter? And, yeah getting pretty ready for autocross! Hopefully do a little better this year lol. Jason
  17. Here are a couple more videos. I know they are really fast, I just don't want it to sound like my car is dying everywhere I go. I don't mind it being loud if it sounds cool. These videos make it sound like a seriously bad squeeking belt. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7fcdc9ac-25c7-4f84-8898-7fbdfb121c15.htm
  18. I'm getting ready to drop the car off at IPS and am planning on doing a F1 on the Z06. Then I heard today that the F1 cars are REALLY REALLY loud. I found two videos on youtube and they were really loud, but they were in a garage and had the hoods up, so I'm sure it echoed quite a bit. Guess I want to know what it's going to sound like just sitting at a traffic light or under normal driving conditions? Here's the videos I found Thanks!! Jason
  19. Any BMV can get you taken care of. Just take the title, a current insurance card(not for the new car, just showing you have car insurance) and license. I don't think they actually ask for the insurance card, but you never know. Also if you purchased the car from out of state they will want to inspect it. Jason
  20. My 97 Formula M6 Stock bottom end ran 12.3's on motor and 11.19's on a 150 shot. Mods were LT4 AFR 190 Heads, Ported LT4 Intake, 1.6 roller rockers, very aggressive cam, Hooker Long Tube Headers, Borla Exhaust, Moroso Cold Air Intake, BBK 58MM throttle body, MSD 6AL, MSD Coil, MSD wires, and a shit ton of suspension parts. I had a ton of money wrapped up into it. Also of reference both my 97 LT1 cars I modified had a couple lifters blow up and my 95 that I built into a race car had something go wrong with it everytime I went to the track. Also back when I modified LT1's the goal was to make 400rwhp, that was an LT1 making some SERIOUS power. I know many LS1 push for 450+. Also keep in mind the LS1 is a lighter engine(maybe 100+ lbs) which is ALL front end weight too.
  21. Both LT1's and LS1's love nitrous. I've had more success with nitrous on my LT1's but when I was adding it to LS1's they were brand new. (98/99)
  22. I've owned 3 LT1's and 3 LS1 powered cars and can tell you a LT1 with headers alone will not even come close to keeping up with an LS1. My bone stock 98SS dynoed at 300rwhp exact, as they were severly underrated. As far as modifing the car, sure you 'may' be able to find items cheaper for the LT1 but the fact remains there are only a handful of LT1's running 11's on motor, while every head/cam LS1 does it. The LS motor is not only lighter, but the stock head design is far superior to that of an LT1. Then you have the problem with the optispark(which they now have options which fix this). If you had 10,000 to spend on a car and modifications after your done, the LS1 would be faster. Just my opinion I've personally never been happy with my LT1's and I had one running 11.19's(yes exact and every pass:) ) and another running 10.3's. Oh... and for reference. My wifes automatic 99 Z28 ran 13.6's the day we bought it and my automatic 97 Z28 ran 14.4's stock after LT4 (stock) heads, LT4 hot cam, 3.73's, shorty headers, and intake, I managed a 13.5. Jason
  23. Anthony - Can you get a price for extra resprays on the DR/Slick lane? I know myself and a few others would be willing to pay a little more to help traction. I love the idea of going to trails, I don't care if traction isn't as good. Fact that I will have a 1 hour round trip drive instead of 6 is much more appealing. Plus I wont need to trailer the car.
  24. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1e72a45abc I liked it anyway.
  25. Nice pics - Thanks for sharing The picture of the Camaro just pisses me off. It's been at that autoshow for 3 years now and yet we're still over a year away from seeing them. And how did the Skyline look in person?
