Given the age of the furnace in the house - this looks like a good guess as to where it came from...

Last 3 Autocrosses w/SCCA for 2011 10/15, 10/22, 10/29 @ NTR

New shifter karts (if you're going to autocross this is the only way to go) will cost upwards of $10K. Now for reality - I have two Italkart Supersonic chassis with ICC motors. I don't have more than $3K in either kart with some spares. If you shop CL - you can find a good used shifter for under $2K - it will need some work, but it would be a good start. Circleville is fun - $15 and sign the waiver and play as long as you like. There is not currently a 125 Shifter class actively running there last I heard - the popular thing there is 80cc shifters. Maintenance isn't too bad to autocross - tiree $200 a set, good for a full season +. I've run one motor for 3 seasons running locally and it's probably lost a bit - but it's fine for regional events. You'll have some cost in clutch maintenance and top end rebuilds, but it's still WAY cheaper than a car - and you get to go faster Learning the shifters takes a while - even after racing a lot to stuff over the years it semed like everything happens sooo fast - but after a season (or some good practice time at Circeleville) it starts to come together. They really are a challenge to autocross due to the amount of shifting to keep them in the powerband - it seems you never get a perfect run. Stop out one of the next three Saturdays and I'll gladly give you a "tour" of the kart and discuss it more. -

Your gear (less helmet) is in the trailer - Andy is driving the black kart this weekend. Let me know, I can always find you a seat. -
I know it's late notice on this Saturday's event - registration is still open till 6pm tonight (and 6pm the Thursday before each event) at MotorsportReg.com. Additional details on each event are there as well. Please note - we will "open the gates" one hour later - 8 am instead of 7 am due to it being darker langer in the morning - the event starts at the same time, but if you want to "walk up" and register Saturday morning (limited to 30 entrants) - you may not want to sit at the gate right at 7. The courses will be fast and previously tested and approved by most competitors - I am doing a "greatest hits" of past events for the next three events in preparation for possibly having a "permanent" course at NTR that we can run a couple of times each year. If we get approval to mark this course there it will allow for ongoing testing of set car set ups and unofficial records. Based on feedback we will select one of these courses to be used. This weekends event is the "Stanberry Cup" - named for Lynn Stanberry who last her fight with breast cancer. All proceeds from the event, bake sale, special challenge event (TBA) will go to cancer research. Typically, the events at NTR are not as well attended as OSU making for many runs - and on a larger lot, faster flowing courses. Come on out and have a little fun before winter!!!

Went to a 22 gallon ATL cell for the Cheverra so: 12 gallon plastic cell w/foam, AN fittings - unmarked, looks like it may very well be a Summit Racing. Includes aluminum mounting straps. 10.5" tall (w/o sump) 17.5" wide 16" deep first $75 (Summit unit is $109 + $31 for steel mounting strap kit) http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/6273/p1010228i.th.jpg http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/5006/p1010227ye.th.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/8761/p1010229a.th.jpg

In the late '70's when Mazda first started racing the RX-7 in IMSA GTU, they brought engines by the dozen to the races. Run a practice session, change an engine. Qualify, change an engine (of course they were turning something like 14K rpm in those sessions). Start the race with a fresh engine and cut WAY BACK on the rpm's and hope to finish. At one point we asked a very japanese engineer how they made the rotary engines so fast (and they were - just not real reliable) - he said "port till it leaks, seal up leak, run engine"! Eventually they got better apex seals and more reliability - but it was always a balance of how hard you could rev them (more RPM meant more power) vs. how long they would last.

Sears Hardware in Graceland is closing and has all electrical at 50% off. I know they had some 10/3 on the shelf last friday - I recall 25' and 50' indoor - there might have been a longer piece and they still had a some outdoor stuff as well. Might be worth a call.

I too planned on chili this wekend - this is what I'll be stirring up: My lazy quick easy chili (from the Bush's can): 1 Can Bush's "Chili Magic" (Mild, Medium or Hot) 1 lb Ground Beef (or your choice of meat - I usually add onions as well) 1 14.5 oz. can of Diced Tomatoes (I go for the tomato w/jalapenos) Brown your meat, throw everything else in the pot and heat (longer is better) This makes a nice thick chili, it's quick. it's easy and it's easy to adjust the heat - my preference is the Medium Chili Magic to go with the diced tomatos w/jalapeno. Biggest issue is finding the "Chili Magic" in Columbus. I usually pick it up when I'm in Cincinnati. Everyone carries Bush's beans of every variety, but not the Chili Magic. All it really is is the beans and seasoning - but I like the flavor, and it's quick to just dump it all in and simmer.

My mother just purchased a 2006 Miata, so she is selling off her old one (hence the automatic trans). 1999 Mazda Miata MX-5, with only 73,000 miles. 1.8L, auto, air, PW, PDL, alloy wheels w/new tires (less than 3K miles). I'm still trying to adjust to a much smaller garage (even after 4 1/2 years) and I have found I just don't have the space/need for this lather so: Nice Summmit 11 x 32 metal lathe, gear head w/spare gears, 84-1400 rpm, micrometer stop, 4 way tool post, faceplate and additional misc tooling & manual. I aquired this on trade from Industrial Machinery 4 years ago when I downsized to my current home (valued @ $2450 at that time). I have never had the machine under power (3 phase, 220V) - but it was checked out by Industrial Machine before the sale. I have seen the same machine sold for $3k with poor cosmetics. Asking $2100 May consider partial trades for a smaller bench lathe, mill/drill or bench mill. See pics here: http://columbus.craigslist.org/tls/2623491630.html

Getting a stale/sour smell out of the air system

I've got some "samples" of a foaming evaporator cleaner/disinfectant that we used to carry at Four Seasons - if you're interested PM me and you can have a can or two to try. -
Bought the wife another Windstar (that she wanted) - so her old DD has to go: 2000 Mazda MPV ES, 2.5L V6, auto, leather interior w/quad seating (4 captains chairs) + fold flat rear bench, A/C (rear heat/air also), Power windows & Locks, Cruise, Tilt Wheel, Privacy Glass, Power Sunroof (tips up or retracts), AM/FM/6 Disc CD, trailer hitch (we towed jet skis occasionally). After having the van almost 4 years, the wife wanted another Windstar, so this one has to go. Priced below KBB "Fair" private sale value as there is a small wrinkle in the bottom left of the rear hatch (been there since we bought it-no paint loss and does not affect function) and the 6 disc CD changer is not working, clip on drivers side sun visor just broke - other than that, it is in very good condition for a 12 year old van. Asking $5450 or well reasoned offer Pics on CL: http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/2623501213.html
