OK, if you ever wanted to get into shifter karts all at once - here is your chance. EVERYTHING you need to go racing, karts, spares, tools, transport, the works. Priced out individually for just the big stuff at "good used" - $10K plus (and who know how much in new replacement cost). Asking $8500 for everything, list below, sorry no photos, too much is still stored away. Pictures of the karts have been all over the OVR SCCA site. I have decided to move on to another project and its time to clear some space.... Vintage kart project #2 with link to CL ad and photos: http://columbus.craigslist.org/rvs/3247521128.html Mid '70's Margay Pro X kart. Has what appear to be original Margay wheels, steering wheel & seat (rough). Frame does have a crack under the motor and rear caliper is missing. Original Goodyear tires (poor condition at best). Restoration project - does include motor and a spare (also not running 4 stroke) for parts. Asking $350

OK, vintage kart #1 with link to CL ad w/photos. I can also include a Harbor Freight "cone" motor (not running) if someone wants it with the kart: http://columbus.craigslist.org/rvs/3247502251.html "Barn Fresh" vintage Rupp Chapparel Kart. Believed to be 1966 or 1967 (I was told these were the two years the chrome rear subframe was offered). Appears to have Rupp optional Front & Rear bumpers, also period correct add on "radius bars" on the sides. Incorrect rear caliper and rear wheels - but a few unique extras. Asking $650

I am starting to liquidate some kart inventory to pursue a new project - first up is my 125cc Superkart. Shifter karts & vintage karts to follow later.... CL text below w/link to photos: http://columbus.craigslist.org/rvs/3247421064.html Zip Banit 1 Superkart circa 1986 (Brief history of the kart as it was supplied to me below): This is originally a Zip Bandit kart which had a one-piece body. It was purchased from Franklin Motorsports by Don Hupp for his daughter Donna in 1986 and I bought the kart in 1988. I sold the kart to Brad Hunt, I believe around 2003 and as Robert Lawson mentioned, he built a newer and more attractive body for the kart. Later on, Brad traded the kart to Harry West and was eventually sold to a farmer. I purchased the kart from "the farmer" and have gone through most of it (no major issues, cleaning, some bodywork fixes, etc). The kart has a Rotax 128 motor (125cc w/6 speed gearbox). Included with the kart are a spare set of wheels w/slicks, a spare set of wheels w/rain tires and a starter (stand is not included). The kart will need rear brake pads and should have the brakes bled/flushed (although they are in working order), the hand clutch will need to be remounted where it is comfortable for the new owner. The three outdoor photos show the kart as I purchased it (body off) an dthe two "indoor" shots show the kart as it currently sits. Asking $2500

Great chassis (my old one) with a strong fresh motor. Yes, you can get "big boy" seats - I've seen guys over 6' and over 250 in them.... GLWS..... (I may be thinning the herd soon as well)

See below - this will be convenient for those of us in NW Columbus... ThisWeek Newspapers reports: http://www.thisweeknews.com/content/stories/northwest/news/2012/08/14/gun-store-shooting-range-planned-for-bethel-road.html OR: Two Perry Township police sergeants will break ground next month on a new state-of-the-art gun store and range on the Northwest Side. Philip Delbert and his son Eric Delbert, who have more than 50 years of combined law-enforcement experience, will open LEPD Firearms and Range this fall at 999 Bethel Road. "Being in law enforcement most of our lives, we think we know how to do it right," said Philip Delbert. He said the gun store likely will open in October, with the range following about a month later. The facility will offer firearms-proficiency qualifications for law-enforcement personnel and general gun-safety and concealed-carry permit classes. There also will be a gunsmith on site. Eric Delbert has been a licensed gun dealer for seven years and brings an elevated level of knowledge about firearms. Philip Delbert said they have purchased the entire center, which includes two separate parcels. The other building currently houses Cafe Courier, All-American Eyeglass Repair and Toxicology Associates Inc. He said the plan is to connect the two buildings. The gun complex, to be built by professional gun-range company, will occupy 12,000 square feet of space toward the rear of the facility, taking over the former Toul-Bo Korean grocery store and another vacant storefront. The land is in Perry Township. The Township Board of Zoning Appeals last December approved a conditional-use permit for the site. Tentative hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and abbreviated hours Sunday. There is discussion of staying open until 2 a.m. one night a week so law enforcement officers assigned to second-shift work schedules can get a chance to use the facility, Philip Delbert said. "We don't know how cost-effective that will be for us, but it is something we kind of want to try," he said. Those with little or no experience shooting a gun will be required to view a safety video and will be monitored by cameras for safety purposes. Philip Delbert said noise will be at a minimum. The building is set back far from the road, and away from any residential properties. It is bordered to the west by railroad tracks. "You'll get more noise from the trains going by then you'll ever get from our facility," he said.

Clay, "Simple" and "Cheap" would put me to looking for a: Mustang/Camaro/Firebird Easy power with lots of cheap used mod parts available and 4 seats (sort of)

Overcharged - popped a seal, leaked to zero OR The high quality gauge on the can is off/broken

THIS: A properly trained CCW owner likely would NOT hit a child. He wouldn't fire if he couldn't properly acquire his target. Firing on an untrained individual who's: a) probably never taken a hit by a bullet in body armor b) would still die from a head shot c) might not have tried if he knew the odds were good A or B would happen

If anyone on the conservative side had any balls, they would propose (in light of the recent Supreme Court ruling on health care) that everyone needs to fulfill their Second Amendment duty and participate as part of each state's militia by purchasing a weapon and taking their concealed carry class. If you choose not to, you will be "taxed" for not participating. If a couple of folks had weapons in the theater, or if criminals knew there were good odds there would be someone carrying wherever they go - it would deter these acts. But like I said - first you would need a politician with balls (oxymoron - or at least the moron part)

Looks like a superkart chassis that has had the BIG motor fitted. Typically these are raced as 250cc motored (single or twin cylinder) and have the radiator mounted under the wing between the endplates. Here are some pics of an older Zip superkart - this one fitted with a 125cc motor that I own.

See add from CL below - I really wanted to do a black laquered exterior w/chromed feet - the wife didn't think so..... Nice old 4 1/2' Cast Iron Tub - purchased for renovation project before I discovered my wife's vision was not the same as mine for the additional bath! In good overall shape, comes with hardware shown and a shower hoop that may need a piece or two. Overal dimensions 54" long, 30' wide, 23" tall. One small chip in the porcelain as shown - other than that needs a good cleaning (some paint drips on edge-old "anti slip" stickies on bottom). Asking $160

Just posted up my Callaway GBB Tung/Ti irons, GBB Fairway Woods & FT-3 driver in the "Garage Sale" section. If you know anyone that wants to upgrade - or get started with a good set, I will make a package deal and throw in a decent putter as well. I'm looking to move to some regular flex shafts, probably Taylormade R7, R9 or R11 irons - depending on what I can find a deal on. Driver and Fairway woods still to be determined. If you see any "godd used" iron deals on these, let me know. Thanks!

Just posted these up on CL - will make CR members a deal if they want all the clubs - I can even provide a quality older blade/mallet style putter of their choice and some new golf balls to help them get started. I'm going to buy some newer sticks w/regular flex shafts (insert old guy and no stif shaft joke here...) Set of Callaway GBB Tung/Ti Irons, all with factory RCH96 Firm Flex Shafts. 3-PW purchased from Callaway Pre-Owned and have newer Winn Grips (still soft). Sand Wedge and Lob Wedge purchased later and have original Callaway grips (pretty hard) Asking $270 for the set Selling because I can no longer get the benefit of the stiff shaft - moving back to regular flex... Callaway Fushion FT-3, 10 degree w/Draw Bias, upgraded Mitsubishi Bassara Stiff Shaft - purchased from Callaway Pre-Owned so has newer grip and head cover. Callaway Great Big Bertha Strong 3, 3+ Fairway wood w/factory BB UL Firm Shaft - older grip, includes head cover Callaway Great Big Bertha 4 Fairway Wood w/factory BB UL Firm Shaft - older grip, includes head cover Will sell all together for $100, or seperate $35 ea. for the fairway woods, $40 for the driver http://images.craigslist.org/5Ga5E45W63Kb3L13N6c7l20fce5e5e7e21a2b.jpg

I looked at having a transfer switch for a generator installed when I upgraded electric in my house. My electrician suggested this instead: http://www.generlink.com/about_generlink.cfm Not automatic, but allows you to power anything in your panel as opposed to a transfer switch where you have to select what you want to power whan it is wired in. AEP also like these as it takes their power "offline" and does not backfeed the lines when it's used. Northern Tool lists the 30a version for $699 and a 50a for $849 - I have not priced them direct from Generlink yet. I already have the 5800W generator....about $800. I'm figuring just under $2K for everything installed (including tax & shipping)

Drill press at the house - will have to see if I have a LARGE bit....

question about A/C recharge in my 2000 gti vr6
craig71188 replied to justmyluck's topic in Tech and Tips
Well "if" it has 80 psi, it is not empty (I use if in quotes as the can gauges are not accurate). If it has 80 psi on the low side - it is already overcharged (compressor running or not). Sounds like you are shooting in the dark - adding more refrigerant (as already mentioned) will likely do more harm than good. More information is needed before any real recommendation could be made (other than take it to a shop that does good A/C work) -
Bag - Sportech (w/cooler pocket) Irons: Callaway GBB Tungsten-Titanium Wedges: see above 55 & 60 degree Woods: Great Big Bertha Driver: Callaway FT-5 Putter: Ping Anser Balls: Noodle I play in a few customer outings each year. I don't think I've played a straight round of golf in over 10 years - just scrambles it seems.

If you don't find any used - check Walmart - they've been stocking various trailer tires lately (decent selection at the Rome-Hilieard Rd store - I know, wrong side of town for you). I picked up two for my jet ski trailer last year. Not sure on their 15" selection....
