OVERHAULIN BACK TONIGHT AT 8 ON DISCOVERY!
Second Gen replied to Buckeye1647545503's topic in Passing Lane
Can't disagree with Biggu more. I would cry if I could get Foose to drop a turbo'ed three rotor in the RX7 with a new interior / paint job (Probably would). Will either watch or DVR Do they ever do newer cars (I know 1993 isn't all that new)? -
One more attempt https://picasaweb.google.com/m/viewer#album/103422430281488540719/5793678715025998497

Just coould not miss the pic opportunity with the leaves falling (I know the car is dirty) https://plus.google.com/photos/103422430281488540719/albums/5793678715025998497#photos/103422430281488540719/albums/5793678715025998497/5793678765302495426

Mojoe agreed. Love the first gen camaros and the viper is no fiesta.. Good intro too. * The only item I did not hear was if you are running the stock launch / suspension or if that had been updated. Had an opportunity to get an older one a while back and said no because I did not know much about it except it has 6 times more displacement than my RX7 (Crazy funny)

I've used Logan Carswell for years and he is a second generation rotary guy (Carswell Rotary is his dad). Good guy and is a rotary enthusiast. Defined Autoworks http://www.facebook.com/defined.autoworks

I have them all over the RX7 and they hold up like iron. Engine bay in this car gets stupid hot and not concerned at all with them. I use a air powered cutter to cut the straight ends. This is still a pain in the ass, but makes for clean / finished end. If you have the opportunity to have someone cut and install the fittings for a reasonable price I would let them. Not a fast process (But again you will like the finished product). ** Also make sure to clean out the line really well after they are put together. Would not want any of the rubber or worse yet the metal shavings getting into the transmission.

Almost looks like a Jag and a concept car.. Kind of like pieces of the car, but not as one of the holy grail of US muscle cars.

Spools normally (Around 3K) and did not see any spikes. Also I am not running a boost controller. I am running with the stock Tial 14.6 lb wastegate spring only. Guess I should think about adding one back into the mix (Really liked the additional .2 Bar) Unfortunately could not boost above .89 BAr again today (Sucks). Guess when I tear her down this fall I will add in the boost controller when replacing the the clutch and sending the injectors to RC for cleaning / rebalancing.

Did not clean the WG. Was thinking about it when it started boosting right. As mentioned above the WG is a Tial. Assumed like above the carbon buildup should have reduced the boost. Running like a bat out of hell again and not complaining. Just a little concerned that what ever the issue might have been may cause it to over boost or go back to where it was. Jones - should have put in tech originally (sorry)

Have been driving my 1993 mazda RX7 all year (After a new Turbo installation about 4 months ago). Started noticing the boost is only hitting .8 bar when it has a14.7 lb / 1 Bar spring. Started thinking about removing the spring and cleaning out the WG, but this morning "Wow" back to 1 bar again. I know a lot of carbon (Especially with the RX7's) can build up in the exhaust, but never heard of one getting better. Ideas? Note - Car has an aftermarket Turbo, 3" exhaust (No kittens) and a Tial WG. The WG and exhaust has to be about 5 years old (Again the turbo is fresh as of 4 months ago)

Woot has a 37" JVC for $279 + 5 shipping (With a warranty).

I have about 4 - 5 pieces of cedar from a ceiling. They range from 6 - 10 feet. If you had a plainer you could have these. Let me know (Down in GC area) Dave

Agreed with the other rex owners.. they are a pain in the butt and will most likely cost more than most cars. In my case / obsession i've had 8 of them and just warn you it is possible. Enjoy Dave

The car is a Griffith (Not a griffin) and is made by TVR. An example is below: http://bringatrailer.com/2009/03/08/power-to-weight-1965-tvr-griffith-svra-racer/

Golf (League play only) In Da bag: Bag - TaylorMade Driver - TaylorMade SuperFast (9.5 stiff shaft) Woods - TaylorMade SuperFast 3 / 5 Irons - TaylorMade R7's Wedges - TaylorMade (I know sopunds like a broken record) Putter - White Hot (Teron) Balls - Callaway Warbird 2.0 and Nike Mojo's (And they are sweaty after playing tonight) Low to mid 40's in league play * Awesome pic from Asheville (I played a hole in New Mexico that was a 220 yards and used a 9 iron because the drop / density of the air - Still flew the green). Definitely recommend playing out West if you get a chance.

I had a first generation MX5 and loved it, but got a lot of crap about driving a chicks car. Drove mine up to about 100K without any issues then caught the Wankle fever. I miss the ability to drop the top in 1 second (Sun roof is not the same thing). Items I remember when I had mine: Timing belt Any maintenance records (Proof the previous owner maintained the car) Tops are expensive (Inspect or expect a $5 - 700 expense) If they have the optional hard top even better Also read up on the Miata / MX forums (Yes their are ones on the internet other than CR) Examples http://forum.miata.net/vb/ http://www.miataforumz.com/ Cya

Thought they were Fiskes As for the shop..... Wow. Could go nuts in there even with my BBS RC's (Would love to have some 9 - 9.5 inch rears)

Would say you need to go with the Camaro.. Lots of options from a modification perspective (Just not this one.) http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/90/90/8/51/93/2278851930100960617xOfiFG_th.jpg OK - Just wanted to post up this photo of this monsterous Camaro limo I shot the other day.. I like the corvette option the most (C5).

My garden is prettty static each year: 6 - 8 Regular tomato plants (Typically 6 Hybrids and 2 Cherry / grapes) Two rows of Potatos (Kenebecs) Cucumbers Zuchinni Squash Green & Jalapenos Cabbage Beans (Bush style - Blue lakes) Trish - Have been having issues with the tomatos over the past couple years and am picking up a load of ground up horse crap for this weekend. Will also try some marigolds too (Thanks)

Ips guys were great . I also like beeline down in the south side

Joe, unsure why I keep heading back to the RX7`s. I have had 8 of them and do really love my 3rd gen. Maybe i will get to the point I will settle for one of them. My first car was a 1964 Nova and I will eventually want to restore one. That one is simply nostalgic.

Clay - Bought one as a primary residence a long time ago. Also purchased a duplex through one and got great deals on both of them. As stated above find out what is owed on the primary loan Be ready to pay out a fairly large deposit (20 - 50%) Get preapproved for the rest so you don't loose your deposit Trespassing on the property before the sale is a problem unless they are empty (If the house is empty ask a neighbor if they mind you looking in a window as to not get the Po Po called) If you can look in the basement make sure they did not turn power off completely (Water will tear up a lot of expensive items) Have fun!

i've liked most of the camaro's and agree with the majority of you this one should not be made. Maybe they can pull more of the looks from some of the prototypes into the design.. The pontiac Banshee was cool as well as a lot of the earlier prototype corvettes (Went down a couple years ago and saw all the years and some of the Corvette's - very cool). Liked the photoshoped version at the bottom of this page (In yellow) http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190231&page=5
