  1. I am a MIS person and only lean towards mathematics to justfy buying or reducing expeditures. The funny thing about the reuleax poly is that it makes up part of the Jones equation (three of the necessary 4 circles). So to make it a real "Jones" we simply need to find a symetrical way to add one more circle and still produce a dorito. Either way sounds like a great way to study rotaries mathematically in class. And try to keep the arithmomania to a minimum
  2. Rotary guys - Appreciate the great / technical comments and I will probably will just take the REX over to Beeline to get it aligned (They have treated me well over the years). Jones why be just a bunch of circles when you can be an epitrochoid (Bet you will internet that one) CR = Best place on the internet to waste time
  3. I have heard issues boosting above 1 Bar with the RX7's with needing to add methanol or other supporting mods. Are you setup with additional mods outside a larger intercooler, upgraded fuel system, ehaust and a updated ECU (I am running a PFC)? As my car only weighs about 2800 lbs 400 rwhp felt pretty good before and expect this updated turbo will boost faster and feel pretty good (When is enough, enough).
  4. I bought the precision 5862 cea both oil and water cooled. Looking for about the same amount of HP (400 rwhp) just earlier spool. Need to fix a couple items and then schedule some time with Peter and Logan. Assume I will be roadworthy in early March. I know school takes time but I love taking the car out in the Spring when the Ohio tundra unthaws (not that this year has been too bad). Spend the time and get yours mobile. You will not be sorry.
  5. Finally picked up a new turbo (thx IPS). Installed new plugs and she is running ok . Looking forward to sending it over to defined to get it retuned.. Plus the new strut / spring combos (Apexi N1) feel great. Looking forward to running my girl again this year (she has not ran for about 14 months) Hell yeah !!!!!!!!
  6. I work for a large insurance company supporting thousands of servers and we use VMware (With both Linux and Windows virtua; servers). Microsofts hypervisor is also making good progress and would think seriously in a smaller location. Also if you virtualized you environment to handle twice the virtual servers it would failover automatically in the event of a catastrophic. This is a feature in VMware that I assume is in place for the MS offering. In my space uptime is king.. Just be careful to watch how many virtual servers you are running on the farm. Too many and then you will not have the failover option. Example – We build 8 hosts (Physical part of the solution) and install up to 7 hosts worth of virtual servers. So if we need to perform maintenance on one host or if one of them fails the other hosts will pickup the workload. Just be ready to pay for licenses as this part will cost whether is it Suse or Windows you are running. If you ever really want to talk more I can provide more benefits and some of the licensing pitfalls.
  7. I'm a 40 something and think these look like fun. Rear wheel drive and a high reving 4 banger.. Won't belong before we see these with turbo's and lots of other options.. I saw one of these in a car mag the other day (Greddy I think) and wow very nice.. Looking forward to seeing these in person in a month or so at the local Scion dealership
  8. The Droid stuff is not difficult and I would not say people should stay away from it.. I have a Nook tablet and an iPhone 4 and they are both very nice. Unless you can find something like the Kindle/Nook in a larger size the iPad might be the best option..
  9. I have the Polk monitor series (60's and 50's and a CI3 with a Boston Acoustics 12' sub). This paired with a Sony running 100watts per channel (switching HDMI) into a 1080p projector. This looks / sounds great. I picked up the center, rears and a Polk 10" sub @ HHGreg for about $350 (Sold the sub). Assume you can pick up a similar setup with pretty good sound around your budet paired with a decent receiver. If interested in the model # of the Sony let me know and I will get it tonight @ home..
  10. Look on CL local.. They have plenty of decent sets of speakers for a reasonable price.. Agreed though you probably need towers to get decent sound in a big room.. Nt mine, but has potential for you (Speakers only) http://columbus.craigslist.org/ele/2800832889.html Onkyo makes some great stuff and think this (Or something like it) would be great matched with the receiver above..
  11. Biggu i think i amgoing to pick up one of the ones listed above 67 mm ceramic bb from bh..plus with a rotary they realy need the water cooling.. gl selling
  12. Unknown age (I have owned for 2 - 3years) .. Did not sag and did well until the struts blew out). Two are in good asthetic condition and the other two are good with the exception of some paint coming off where they were against the strut perch. Also they have some overspray on them too (Black). Started to remove and started taking the red paint off.. Thanks Dave 614-870-0472 (Home number - Please no calls after 10) Would like $75, but open to reasonable offers Link to Racing Beat (List $220.00 before shipping) http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1993-1995/Spring-Sets.html Pics availabe if interested
  13. Hello, Looking for something for my RX7 similar to the Precision 3561S that is not reparable. Maybe GT4088 GT35R Prefer low mileage, water cooled, and something that was not boosted to 40K PSI (Air cooled is ok as well if it is like the newer aircooled Precision models). Thanks Dave
  14. Smoke smells suck i had to paint the plywood floors with Binns to kill it. Unsure about banesters and steps (suggest the ozone reccomendation)
  15. I have the Nook tablet and agree it is almost the same as the Kindle.. Similar specs to teh Kindle. Reason I went with the Nook was my daughter is going to Wright State this fall and they are Barnes & Nobel and figured she would be able to use more.. Both are solid products to compare against the iPad (And I have iPhone 4)..
  16. To answer your question no.. I had to remove my old 40 Gig SSD and repalce with a 120 gig'er to fix it. Another option is to reinstall Win 7 (Slipstream version including SP1) and that will reduce it for a while. The link below high levels what it is used for and why it will always be amonster on your HD. http://blogs.technet.com/b/joscon/archive/2010/08/06/should-you-delete-files-in-the-winsxs-directory-and-what-s-the-deal-with-vss.aspx IT - The reason we all love computers
  17. Sent an email to them to see if they would do anything with them.. Thanks!!
  18. Morning, The old struts I have on the RX7 are in bad shape (Bottom out really bad now) and want to either replace or rebuild. I found the USA based Ohlin site (Note sent), but was wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the Columbus area that can do this type of service? Note - No physical damage evident and no leaks (That I can see). Let me know Dave PS - Should have bought the GT4088 off Eric W (Would have been one less item I needed to source to get the Rex back on the road for Spring)
  19. Berto - I stand corrected. I had two TII S5's and 3 NA's . Guess I have been farting around with my FD for too long.. Still say a NA (S5) would be a fun one to have (Even with the small'ish rear seat).
  20. Need to paint the RX7 next year and like the color scheme.. Maybe I can paint it to match the tiger shrimp (Photo shop challenge)? Oh yea I would definately eat that with some coctails sauce.
  21. Definately an 80's car that I remember (I used to work for Hammonds Electronics in the day). These (1987 Shelby charger) would do a pretty good burnout in the day http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f0/1987shelby.jpg Don't forget about the 86 - 87 RX7's (Sticking @ 25 years or older). They were not turbo charged yet, but you couold drive them for 175 - 200K. http://static.cargurus.com/images/site/2009/10/23/20/17/1987_mazda_rx-7-pic-8357838494499707148.jpeg
  22. He was talking about point to point virtual private networking (Most people don't nee it).. Friend just picked up the new Razer (Razor) and really likes it.. But understand he is running AT&T.. Unsure if TMobile sells them. Otherwise I agree with Jeffro (iPhone is killer from a constant product with little to no bugs)
  23. Pinacle has a really nice setup, just unsure member restrictions and costs. Maybe someone on CR is a member?
  24. Wife and I have had the Sleep number bed for about 8 years and she swears by it (I could sleep on plywood and be OK). Unsure if you have the opportunity and get a chance to see/try it out. They also do not have the same issue with the memory foam getting hard (Some folks have mentioned this is an issue)..
  25. I have the Optoma HD180 and very happy. But unsure you will find a new one for your budget. gl
