  1. looks great. motor shot looks even better
  2. yeah, what were you doing?? this is crucial to your story
  3. yep, but these longblocks are built like supra longblocks---nearly bombproof with GOOD TUNING and good gas. the original hellraiser car had completely stock longblock, dedicated fuel/spark system, aftermarket clutch, stock IRS, and that is about it--made over 1000rwhp--wasn't totally streetable with the stock IRS (would easily break the IRS with traction and full power) i plan on stroking the motor, and getting a full rebuild with better pistons, rod bolts and head studs--maybe an aluminum teksid block, as they are a little better than the '03/04 iron blocks. this is still just over a year away, so i don't want to get ahead of myself, but it will happen.
  4. no, the TBSS sits outside. i've talked to the guy very briefly a few times--he used to have a WS-6 transam with plates "WS6 4 HER". i've never seen the older trans-am out of his garage. seems like a pretty cool guy
  5. stay tuned, brother. stay tuned. fully built 302 stroker, with twin turbos blowing through a whipple. give me a little over a year, when i get settled into my next job. when i post a thread on the "manhattan project", you'll know what's going down
  6. they said it was a 2004, clearly a 2005+ from the pictures, and yes, it looks like the people in the minivan were o.k.
  7. i might just buy that car next year, if its still for sale.
  8. GTO--15/24---18 on avg cobra--who knows, don't drive it much '87 fox--i go through 2 tanks per year at most, so i don't care '99sentra--probably 28-30mpg avg '05 explorer--decent don't care too much about gas mileage--i'll never buy a car with that in mind, period
  9. 190hp to the wheels completely stock. as far as aftermarket, this is THE motor that created the term "modern automotive aftermarket", and don't let anyone convince you otherwise
  10. that's in my neighborhood (cross creek, off of hilliard rome rd), and i'm not sure what type of car it was. the guy next door to him who's house was also damaged has a white 80's trans-am, so maybe that's what you guys are talking about--that car is in pretty good shape--never seen him drive it, just sits in his garage with shit stacked on it. the house is totally ruined, i'm just surprised i didn't hear any of this, as we had our window open and live very close to that house in a different part of the subdivision. i didn't know the guy who's house it was.
  11. yeah, i'm sure the guy is going to show up at your door step with a do-it-yourself replacement bumper kit, painted to match tomorrow--he's probably ordering overnight parts from japan as we speak. he's probably forgotten all about it right now, and they will claim they didn't do squat when you challenge them. sucks though. hope there's a positive outcome--i would have gone nuts
  12. meh, no more mustangs for me (excluding foxes).
  13. maybe in a year. car feels great. thanks again

yep, knee pain is a risk of going through the knee, but the surgery is easier to do that way, and easier to set the rotation of your leg. 1cm is fairly accurate, considering the break you had--and most people are not aware of changes in leg lengths, until the difference is at least 1.5 to 2 cm. the knee pain usually improves, but you will likely have some level of knee pain forever
  15. its one year long, and i've already accepted a job in wisconsin which gives me plenty of time in the winter to work on projects in the garage. but who knows, i may end up back in columbus

yeah, i don't work with mehta anymore, but he's a very nice guy. that break is very difficult to treat---very easy to mess up the length of your leg as well as the rotation of your leg.
  17. tampa and that motor shot was from right after i did the motor swap, that's why its so clean--its a little dirtier now, but still looks pretty decent
  18. i'm cleaning out my garage for the big move in about two months and came across some things that i have had on my garage wall for the past 5 years '96 svt cobra ad. i was a freshman in college in '96 and this was my 'dream car'. 32valve v8 with 305 hp was unheard of for a mustang. a year later i bought my '87 fox. today, 305 hp is pretty much the norm http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/1366/s3500026ul7.jpg also uncovered a picture of me working on my '87 GT back in 2000 at my parents' in cleveland, when i swapped in a new motor, fuel pump, complete suspension, etc etc., as well as an engine shot http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/623/s3500028lt5.jpg another engine shot http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/559/frp1813500002ta8.jpg i had to take the car out and wring it out a bit. i almost forgot how fun it is to burn completely through the first 2 gears with small tires and a 3.73 solid rear.

those weren't your femur x-rays were they?? that's a nasty break. you're lucky you didn't have to go back and have another surgery (bone grafting).

its either a t-40 torx bit, or a 5mm allen head depending on which brand nail it is.
  21. yep, i'm old (31 next month)--used to chew that stuff constantly, and pretend it was real tobacco.

usually, its done under a general anesthetic, but you could request a 'twilight' if you'd like--i would not. davison works at mt. carmel east and taylor station surgery center, which is right by mt. carmel east. his office is also less than a mile from mt carmel east.
