  1. not a big fan of the show. i've only watched 4 or so episodes. too much crap--time bonuses, challenges, etc. there is no way an f-150 should be competitive with an exotic sports car in an all-out race across the country
  2. the green one is a 7-up 1990 vert, that i sold a year and a half ago--2.73 geared auto, was slower than dirt. the red one is an '87, hard to believe its 20 years old http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/575/s3500013wd4.jpg
  3. svtperformance.com in the market section-----------they're there
  4. i must say it caught me off guard. i've spent a fair amount of the very little time i have off working on my cars recently, and that usually lands me in hot water--my wife is not into cars--more into designer purses. probably one of the best gifts i've gotten that i can remember--and i haven't even gone yet!!
  5. god that car looks great. i may just have you look at my car, and see if it could benefit from a professional wax--
  6. i haven't looked into it too much, just did a little reading on the brochure that came with the course. once my car is tuned, i'm going to set up a date to go. from what i understand, its a one day course, where you sit in the classroom for a bit, then go out and check the course out, ride along with a driver, and then spend the rest of the time on your own. its about $700. i'll post more info when i call them. the only reason i don't want to take my car, is that i do not like to beat on my car, except for very short periods in a straight line--and i don't launch the car hard either.
  7. change brake fluid??? like bleed all the brake fluid out?? no thanks, i'll just take the car they give me.

    Me Me Me!!!

nice car, and welcome. i looked at your website, and the picture you took from the michigan game, with everyone on the field is now painted on one of the walls (in the woody hayes building, i think?). the funny thing is, my brother-in-law is the guy in the photo facing your camera in the picture, front and center--he had the photo framed and signed by tressel
  9. i'm going to take my car, but i don't want to risk blowing it up, frying the brakes, or spinning it out into a wall. i'm pretty pumped to have a wife support this hobby considering i just resurected my daily beater from a blown head gasket (despite her demands for me to trash it), and also spent a ton of time and money on my cobra recently.
  10. i'd love one of these, but have no room right now. bump for a sweet car
  11. anyone ever done a driving course at mid ohio sports car course?? the wife surprised me with a one day course for my 30th birthday. you can take your own car there, or drive one of their acuras. you also spend part of the day in an s2000. i'm probably not going to use my cobra, or would only like to take it for a few laps, but i was just wondering if anyone here has done this??
  12. '99 sentra here. 1.6 liter engine. new brakes, new spark plugs.......................... dangerously slow, especially merging on the freeway.
  13. this guy's taking a beating. remove all the crap/shit from your car and it will be ok. all these fast and furious comments are priceless
  14. keep us informed on this process. i know some people end up trying to do this on the cheap and end up spending more than they would have to build a nice stroked 302. good luck---i don't know much about this type of project, only what i've seen in 5.0 or MM&FF articles from time to time.
  15. a lot of dirty laundry being aired out here, anyone care to elaborate on why everyone hates this guy. it sounds like he tried to set up a forum with nearly the exact same name as this one, claimed outrageous hp on a car that never came to be, tailgated/drove like a ricer..........................am i missing anything??
  16. if the stakeout doesn't turn anything up, just go over to his house and ask him about it. it seems simple and stupid, but if you go over there when no one else is around and really question him hard, you will be surprised at how quickly dumbass kids get caught up in a lie and start contradicting themselves. you can pretty much take it as far as you want, but that is what i would do. its very easy to key a car that is parked in a parking lot/out on the street. but it is not very common for a random person to go out of their way to key a car parked in a driveway---it was someone you know/pissed off/doesn't like you
  17. you may very well need a cowl hood. the 351 is taller, and takes some tricks to fit under a stock hood. as stated above, the front dress needs to be addressed--i think ford motorsports has a kit that contains the timing cover/water pump/etc. for the swap. good luck
  18. update:::::::::::::: the car is up and running. pretty sure its going to be ok, i'm still doing some hot cycles on the car to make sure the coolant level stabilizes out. i will be changing the oil again on this car after 100 miles or so. i don't know how some of you guys can do this job in 5-6 hours. it was a bitch. my heads ended up not being warped at all, so i just got new seals installed. anyways, i appreciate everyone's help
  19. i don't think so. there's a specific routine that has to be done to 'unmarry' it
  20. HA, those rules are great---all true. i hate it when people tell me their pain is 10/10 and they're sleeping. my buddy used to dig his thumb into a patient's finger nail bed, and tell them thats 4/10. i've seen people get thrown in the "ER penalty box" for several hours for being a dickhead to the nurses
  21. ours got lost in the mail a few years back. it sucks, absolutely sucks. they have to assume its been stolen, put a cancel on the payment of the check, and then issue another. it took us 5 MONTHS to get ours
