  1. too bad that GTR already conceded a loss to d. wiggs two months ago, just like his buddy's UGR lambo :lolguy:
  2. :lolguy: here, thick skin and a good sense of humor will get you far. even if your wallet is worth more than your car
  3. here's mine. love it. i had to buy special jeans with bigger pockets though http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1354/costanzawallet.jpg
  4. +1. imagine if he had to do this at every single house---it would take him forever to deliver the mail. i'd avoid any confrontation when it comes to pissing off the mailman--unless you want to be randomly missing bills/etc when your mail gets 'misplaced'. just park your car somewhere else.
  5. good thing you have a 5 year/100k mile warranty. 90% of people posting in this thread would never buy any of the cars in the discussion brand new. they're looking at buying a 3 year old used version--most gerbil cars only come with 3 year warranties last time i looked in to a german car (which was never). probably should stick with a 335i----fuel pumps tank repeatedly and take the motor with it :dumb: or maybe an s5---just pull the valve covers off every 30k miles to clean the sludge out when your car feels like its dragging a 2500lb anchor behind it :dumb: you're right, american cars suck
  6. they're trying to build a car that does just about everything relatively well, just a smaller, more efficient, 'baby cts' if you will. i like it. i'd wait for the 'v' version, and hope that its awd.
  7. well, you can't be that picky if you're looking to buy used. lulz. those wheels are the spyder wheels--they don't come on the early z-06's, which is what your budget dictates. black was available all years iirc, jetstream blue (was my second choice), was not available until 2008. you won't find a low mileage (assuming less than 10k miles) for $40k. good luck bro
  8. i'm a shadetree mechanic. i only use impact to remove wheel lugs (on my cars i don't really care about), on suspension components, and exhaust components. i've honestly gotten by for over 10 years with a 1/2" chicago corded impact wrench from harbor freight. impact sockets from harbor freight. i've never had an issue--after 8 years, i replaced the brushes on the impact wrench--its never failed. i even bought another spare to keep in my other garage. buy the craftsman/snap-on/mac stuff if you like.
  9. gonna put the drag radials back on the car, and hopefully have some traction. maybe take it to the dragstrip this year, and a few road-america races--to spectate, and run the car on the track during the concourse laps as far as mods go, i've taken the car as far as i want.
  10. just found the dyno video--its short
  11. Trust me, the margin is getting closer than you think. The cost to throw a procharger on my vette is nearly identical to that of a mustang. Longtubes on a mustang used to be $500-ish. Now, for a good set, you're at $1100.
  12. thanks guys car made good power 578rwhp/524rwtq http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1291/z06dynosheet.jpg
  13. decided to take my vette 3 hours to a shop in chicago. told them i wanted the car to sound like a 'muscle car'---they installed some longtubes and tuned the car. here's the results. :fuckyeah: http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7861/z06motor.png http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/8046/vette1.png definitely seems louder than stock :fuckyeah:
  14. Doesn't matter which. Stock for stock---mod for mod, not much can come close to the z-06.
  15. Accelerate to 160+mph, then slow down to 135 right before the traps?
  16. +1 gotta say that's the worst color combination on a car i've seen yet. dark blue, white stripe, black wheels? no thanks
  17. i live on svtperformance.com, and i think you will hear the same response over there based on the 100's of similar threads made on that site. that should tell you all you need to know
  18. the average lifespan of a 'career' nfl player=shocking
  19. z-06. add a cam/longtubes/intake/ported heads---580+rwhp and not much out there to worry about. not much to worry about even in stock form. there's a used '07 by me on a lot--i just don't see any z's in wisconsin, but see plenty of mustangs. i even saw an orange boss going the other direction on the freeway today.
