  1. good looking cobra. tasteful mods. personally, i'd leave the NOS out of the car. buy a ragged out fox if you want to blast it with NOS. welcome to the site, great intro
  2. being a general contractor is a dangerous job
  3. this. every parent knows the feeling of being told a lie from their young child. when a 5 year old tells you a fib, its funny to realize that they think you believe them. you're explanation of why you're not a scammer sounds like my 5 year old lying to me
  4. Welcome to the world of a contractor. Reverse the tables--get another couple bids and play the contractors against each other.
  5. where can i send my $4,000 to get a disgusting-ass yellow and black snake??
  6. PP, TP, and recaro's here. my wife might insist on the electronics package, but i'm not a huge fan of the glass roof, and not a big audio guy.
  7. i'm not worried about you driving a GTR (assume you're referring to the thread on svtperformance--which i won't link here). they MSRP for $55k-ish, and come with every option in the upper $60k's--perhaps $68k. i'll be trading in my cobra, and not paying over MSRP--not in a huge hurry to buy, and ford will make as many as they can sell. i might just decide to buy a GTR too. :fuckyeah:
  8. as sad as it is, i will probably trade the car into the dealership if i do this. we'll see. still up in the air about the car. for the difference in the amount i'd trade it in for, i'm not sure its worth tire-kickers/joy-riders/people blowing the car up and coming after me later. lol--silveraudimike has/had my ported eaton, i still have his stock eaton sitting in my garage, your bassani h-pipe sitting in the garage (had to get a different one when i went auto), and hal's bassani catback in my garage (car is solid rear now). :lolguy:
  9. its a tough call. certainly, private party sale will bring you more money--no question about it. but it takes longer, maybe much longer. you get people that you might not want near your house to come out and possibly waste your time, lowball you, and just basically bother you. there's always the possiblity of being scammed/robbed/etc. when it comes time to exchanging the money/car. some people don't understand the term 'as is'---if something goes wrong with the car 2 days/months/years after the sale they will potentially blame you. all of this is avoided by trading in, but you won't get as much for the vehicle
  10. i'm still up in the air as to whether or not i want another car payment. either way, the cobra will have to go. my wife has some pretty crazy requests in order for me to get this car---ah, the joys of being married i would get the power pack, track pack, recaros, and maybe not much more than that. no heated seats, no glass roof, and i'm up in the air about the sound/entertainment package
  11. i'd run away from anything GM (non-diesel) with 200k miles on it---period. hell, i wouldn't be able to get much more than $12k for my '05 eddie bauer explorer, and it only has 75k miles on it. no GM gasoline car is worth $12k with that many miles. buy the suburban and put the denali grill on it.
  12. the car is apparently a solid 11.5-11.6 car with anywhere from 123-129 traps depending on traction, launch control, etc. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1205_2013_ford_shelby_gt500_first_test/ dynoed 609 rwhp for 5.0 magazine video of reporters/mag editors/etc running the car repeatedly over 30 times in a row. it was pulling 11.8's the whole time, apparently i just need to figure out which color to get :fuckyeah:
  13. fix your health problems?? cts-v gets my vote. incredible comfort, crazy fast, gets the looks, and has huge aftermarket support if you find you want more out of the car.
  14. drove my h/c/i z-06 like a scalded dog. finally got the drag radials back on the car, and i decided to give them a workout.
  15. Meh, I can go to the local grocery store and pick up a 750ml for $14.50. Just went to a party tonight and brought some vodka. They had everclear in the voodka section---i almosyt bought a bottle for old times sake, but realized I still have a bottle from college The beauty of living in wisconsin--every grocery store is a liquor store. You can get hard liquor 24-7. People make houses into bars here.
  16. lulz. back when i was in grad school, we'd watch his show while getting ready to hit the bars. one of my buddies used to see him all the time with his gf working out at the gym. said that he'd be all 'gothed out' while on the treadmill---rofl
  17. i've got several you can have. but i live in wisconsin. just buy one from walmart and return it when done
  18. these are my thoughts as well. get on modularfords.com or svtperformance.com and ask around. i've never heard of having to pull the heads/motor to do a helicoil.
  19. must have sold over the weekend, i don't see it on the lot, and not on their website
  20. buy the house you want right from the start. adding shit onto a house is expensive, and you won't get that money back when/if you resell--no matter what you think. we've done tons of crap to our house and are embarking on a huge addition this fall---not my choice, but i need a workout room in our basement, and my wife wants a big first floor master. i expect to lose 50% or more of that addition when/if i resell. its just a fact of life at this point in real estate, and i don't see it going anywhere. we have a 3 car garage attached and a huge detached. the 3 car is not set up correctly. my wife's SUV fits in the middle space (its too long for the spot closest the house. it leaves no room to park on the other side of it (with all our kids' crap). its just not set up well. so we only use 1 spot in that garage, unless its snowing, then i squeeze my exploder in.
  21. if they're sticking out of the skin (most are), you can expect the dr to pull them out with needle nose pliers---maybe a little pain, maybe not. maybe some bleeding from the pin sites--not uncommon.
  22. r.i.p. can't believe he had a heart and kidney transplant, all the way back in 1992---
  23. it says you're a correction officer as your occupation--you wouldn't want prisoners to know you cried like a bitch when they were removed would you? if they're sticking out of the skin, they should come out easy--some even fall out. just remember when we pin a 6 year old's elbow, we remove the pins in the office as well. put on the man pants and you'll be fine
  24. there's one by me listed at $39k--a 2007.
