??
These cars have been around for a while now. Its considered a mass production vehicle and is assembled on the EXACT same assembly line as a V6, GT, etc. It is not a tuner car, like a roush/steeda/saleen/lingenfelter/etc.
It comes with a full warranty, is purchased from a normal ford dealership, etc etc.
1) I would agree with you on the ethics comments if indeed the stories circulated around the car forums are true about UGR
2) They can charge whatever they want--thats the beauty of capitalism in america, and I am glad to see its still alive. You, of all people should understand this
3) You're calling their engineering mediocre (they currently make many of THE fastest cars around--period), yet you're regurgitating bullshit on this forum to people who are smarter than you think. Bullshit that has been spoon-fed to you by people who are trying to sell you a 'theoretical build', on an unproven platform. And we're the idiots?
Urgent care. You should have a family physician---if something has been going on for months, an er visit is what many people do--use the er as their primary care dr., and that's just one of the problems with the utilization of health care in america. Even if you don't have insurance, you can get into a free clinic run by medical residents. But yes, an urgent care is much less than an er typically.
We paid $2k last year when my daughter figured out how to open a childrens tylenol bottle. Our deductible is set at the lowest possible amount--$3k.
I'd love one of these, and will highly consider getting one, as long as it can put the power down. Its colder here in wisc, and I have troubles with traction on my ctsv.
+1.
The fact that he gets full boost in 2nd, leads me to believe the blower is fine. With more load on the motor in 4th gear, belt slip will be more easily exposed. My belt tensioner went bad this past summer with only 18k miles--started squeaking. Many of them bottom out and don't hold tension.
Its a $50 part from ford. I'd start with that, and a new belt, and go from there. When I had the stock blower, billetflow pulleys were the best as far as grip goes--dont know if that's changed. Another popular option is a 2.93 upper/ 4lb lower.
There's only one ford I'm looking at, and its not the festiva--not sure the x-plan would work, but I could always try. I'd prefer to trade my cobra in---ive had no issues with the car, but never sell stuff like this privately in the event something would break/etc on the car.
Napa belts are the same as gates, if I recall. I never had slippage with a gatorback belt, 2.76 upper, billetflow suregrip pulley, and the snub idler. Check your belt tensioner as well, to see if the spring is bottomed out.
My car has had a napa belt for 5 years and 11k miles on my whippled cobra and sees 18psi.
Wheels look good.
I may part with my 19k whippled/auto/solid rear cobra if I decide to get a new ford. We'll see.
if you have absolutely no intention of being a father or having kids, then, for the child's sake---stay away. no point in messing around with a single mother, meeting the child, having them become attached to you, only to ditch both of them when you confirm the fact you don't want to be a parent. sure, the mom might be able to move on, but that fucks kids up.
i've gotten different advice. one guy says get this, another says get that. at the very least, i want my wife to have 5 years or more coverage. the house is paid off, my school loans are close, we have two car notes (escalade/z-06) that are at 0% financing--but could break even if she had to sell both. its a tough call. i pay way too much for this shit---my disability insurance is quite bit more than all my other policies (life/cars/umbrella/etc) combined. if only i knew there was zero % chance of cutting my fingers/hand off, i could save/invest much more.
term life only here. 20 year, $5million dollar policy. i invest what i would normally put in a whole life plan. once you get married you should have a policy. once you have kids, its an absolute must.
+1
i don't cut my own grass and i'm just one of the peons here. i wanted to get a sweet mower--my wife gave me the 'reality check' regarding the time it would take to cut 2.5 acres, weedeat, edge, and clear all the clippings out. i have to admit, i'm more than happy to pay someone else to do it at this time in my life
damn homeboy. You're puting quite a bit of pressure on ips with comments like this. Hopefully, they can pull through--the whole city is watching. Would you like to ask the forum to pray for your car?
calling out a very experienced driver for a 100-250mph race always goes better when you actually have a running car, and some experience. am i missing something? didn't see the youtube video, refuse to get on fagspace---i can only make judgments based on what he's posted in this thread.
:dumb:
so your life partner (who has a high hp, running car) has conceded a loss to someone who doesn't even have a running car?? let alone all the bugs worked out, etc etc?? if that isn't the definition of a bench racing ricer, i don't know what is.
how about this::
come back and make call outs when you have a car that fucking runs.
You could say my car is cr stock :lolguy:
It's 3rd in line to go to the strip as far as my cars go. No track times yet, but even bone stock v's have run 12.3's consistently on stock rubber.
