many foxes are so beat to hell its not even funny. in perfect running condition, a stock 5.0 will lay down 195rwhp at best. with a catback/cai, maybe 205rwhp. you need at least a gears/full exhaust/intake/cam car to go anywhere. now picture a 17 year old car (minimum) that has had at least 4-5 owners (mostly 18-25 yr olds) who beat the absolute piss out of the car for 100k+ miles. not surprising many foxes aren't impressive in near stock form 17-25 years later.

fixed. honestly, look at other cars. sure, there's something to be said about the NA cobras, but not much. you will need to mod the hell out of them to make them fast by today's standards. but if you're looking for a simple, reliable daily driver, then i guess that would fit the bill. mach1's have dropped in price, as have LS1 GTO's. you could always buy an f-body for cheap, and be faster than the '99 cobra right from the start. good luck, welcome to the site

Maxing out 401, two roth ira's, and college funds for kids each month

yeah, then i won't be able to claim the loan interest. this is the first year that i've worked a whole year at my current job. staring at my W2 makes me sick to my stomach to think of the money i've paid in taxes this year---and the fact that i won't see anything for that money. why the fuck should i have to pay more than the average joe for federal or state taxes?? i understand what that money goes to (improving infrastructure, police/fire/public service salaries, etc.)--am i entitled to use those services more, if i pay more for them?? can i veer my car into the 'coned off' lane of an unfinished freeway 6 months before they open that lane to the rest of the public?? can't deduct student loans, can't deduct interest on a new car. bullshit.

paid off a shitload of our mortgage this year, and we haven't even owned the house for a year yet. hopefully, have it paid off in 18months and start looking at condo's. i still have gather all my stuff to give to our tax man, but right now my preliminary taxes are that i owe $12k--i claim zero deductions with 3 kids/wife---wtf. hopefully with the purchase of our house, vette, and all the money i spent traveling/related to work i can get my taxes down to $0. if not, no big deal, i though i'd owe a lot more than that--can't even imagine if i claimed all my deductions. still have quite a bit in school loans, and both our car loans are zero %, so i'm not planning on paying them off until the house is paid off. couldn't care less about having a black am-ex card. if i want something big, my wife just writes a check.

stock shortblock with 53k miles. GT40 heads, ecam, roller-rockers, full exhaust, 3.73's, and light as hell. put down 275rwhp. and where do you come across stock 5.0's?? i've had 3 foxes, and have owned them for 13+ years, and i haven't seen a stock one in person in over 5 years. didn't know stock ones still existed, but they dynoed 190-195rwhp stock. my car has manual windows, door locks, and is light as a feather.

while i do not approve of the video, or the police response, we are WAY too fucking lenient of criminals in this country. i did research for a summer in college with an iraqi grad student. he was a rude, inconsiderate prick, and i hated him. regardless, we listened to NPR all summer long, and he would laugh at how lenient things were in the US. the last rape that occured in his city, was something like 15 years ago---they caught the suspect, cut both his arms off, and dragged him around the city with a tow truck while he was still alive reporting over a loudspeaker what happens when you commit rape. how many people would think twice about commiting crimes if the consequences were severe.

damn that's sexy. i've never been in a continental GT, but i did look at used ones a while ago online, and actually entertained the idea of a used one. closest place to me for service on a bentley would likely be chicago--over 2 hours away, not sure i could do that. hell, even BMW/benz dealerships are about 45min away from me.

not a cutout. the z's have 4 exhaust tips. two are high restriction--they are open at all times. two are low restriction (loud)--they only open i think at 3500rpms. that way, the car is quiet as a mouse at freeway speeds. you can simply pull a fuse to have all 4 open all the time, or they make a switch to open them when you want, and close them with a switch. the muffler mod, consists of cuting the muffler open and removing any and all restrictions from the 'low restriction' tips. that way, the car is still quiet with the low restriction tips shut, but extremely loud with all 4 open. speed shops should be able to do the mod for $300ish. too bad i don't live in columbus---i'm sure IPS has done this mod many times, as its quite popular.

no reason for a catback in these cars. just a switch that opens all 4 pipes at idle, and do the 'muffler mod'. that way, it can be as quiet as you want, and loud when you want it. no reason to spend $1800 for what $300 can do better.

6/6 cars in my sig are american. at least 5/6 will rape a 350z, even a modded 350z. true story. not saying i won't buy a foreign car, just not a 350z--unless its for my wife maybe.

this. 45 year old guy goes to his new doctor for a checkup. doc runs TONS of tests/bloodwork, and tells him he is in 'pretty' good health. a bit irked by that, the guy says "well, do you think i'll live to be 80?" doc says, i don't know, do you: drink beer?----no eat fast food??--no eat unhealthy/fattening foods??---no stay up late hanging out with the guys???--no go to strip clubs??---no drive your car fast, get speeding tickets, or ever drive aggressively??--no have dirty thoughts/actions towards women other than your wife??--no doctor says "then why do you even give a shit if you're going to live to be 80?"

check out the GTO in my sig. i have one of the kits that puts out a bit more 'blue' light in my GTO. people flash me their brights all the time, assuming that i have my brights on---when in reality, its just my fucking awesome bright ass hid's. i've even made a couple people swerve off the road. cops know better than to pull me over because i have one of the 'police' stickers on my car. now i only buy cars that come with them stock. carry on
