  1. Yea only if you have a nice smooth surface. I would still use a backer. Just depends on your floor . Also the backer board can be used to level off your floor to your door if it is to low. On mine I wish I would have doubled up a backer board to make it higher to meet the bottom of my door. It works fine and does not affect anything but when you come in you have a small drop off to the tile floor. Know one else would even notice it but me.
  2. Here is a picture of my amatuer work. You will need some hardiboard or something similiar to go over your wood floor. Also needed is the aluminum strips that go on the edge of the tiles. Maybe some carpet tack strips so you can roll the carpet edge against the tiles edge. Sounds like you have someone already lined that has done it before, a helper is always nice. I don't mine doing my own but being a rookie and always learning by my mistakes I hate to mess up someone elses job and make it look bad . http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/100_1742.jpg
  3. I just did the same thing at my front door. I'm no expert but mine turned out ok. Mine is 4' x 5'. It's also nice to have a helper if it's your first time. I used larger tiles at front door 12x12's
  4. Wait a minute that also brought up some bad memories of when my craw space flooded and I had a swimming pool under my house. I just deleted those pics, out of site out of mind.
  5. It's definitely better. The road in front of my house is a solid sheet of ice and I have mini snow drifts starting. I might have a hard time getting out of Ohio if this type of weather keeps up.
  6. That is unreal. Wonder what the reason is for this or could it be just bad luck. I know the roads are not that great right now but ??? So you did get lucky.
  7. Saying this with out taking sides, my grandfather who is 87 and just bought a new cts sport make me very nervous. He drives so slow and pull out slow onto roads. Little scary to say the least.
  8. Yep its here and coming down good in marysville. My back yard> http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/snow.jpg 15 days and counting down to this backyard. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/P1030399.jpg
  9. Old people what is it with this old people thing. Where I go the old/older people are pretty cool. As far as bugs I have never had a problem with them where I go. Fire ants can be a problem. It's muggy and miserable in ohio at times to so it is not all that different. Huricanes or snow/ice storms they both do damage. It equals out still in my opinion. Not saying Fl is heaven but it is not near as bad as some think.
  10. Dam that looks bad, cars can replaced though.
  11. It looked like his car, hope not
  12. Sending this from my phone, its not easy. First time for me. Any way it was a mess.
  13. I just passed by it its huge I saw a white sub with gold wheels in involved
  14. When we get that much snow I get a drift along the width of my property because of the open fields around me. It's no fun. On the plus side I cant wait to try out my new Hankook tires and wheels. That is the only plus for snow right now.
  15. Just found this also for Fl. Dated 2004. I briefly read this.http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/self_defense.html Ohio should be the same. Q. When can I use my handgun to protect myself? A. Florida law justifies use of deadly force when you are: Trying to protect yourself or another person from death or serious bodily harm; Trying to prevent a forcible felony, such as rape, robbery, burglary or kidnapping.
  16. This is for Florida. Seems to be pretty cut and dry. Same as Ohio right ? 776.012 Use of force in defense of person.--A person is justified in the use of force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against such other's imminent use of unlawful force. However, the person is justified in the use of deadly force only if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent .
  17. The good The bad The ugly It's everywhere......
  18. Drinking water !!! Holy Shit you think the city of columbus water is ok. My well water is better then this.
  19. Hey you have something against old people ??? You want me to take my cane to you:D
  20. Ohio is no different. You have your shit areas here just like down their. My mom got mugged/robbed or what ever you want to call it a couple months ago in the powel/rt23 walmart parking lot. Some bitch drug addict came driving down the isle in the lot and grabbed her purse from her cart almost knocked her down and came close to running over innocent people getting away. This was in the day light. So it happens everywhere. Also they just cought this person a couple weeks ago. As far as it being to hot and muggy, well that what the ac is for. Now as far as under cover cops, why worry about them unless you are planning on doing something that gets their attention.
  21. Maybe or it could be he was not expecting to see a red mustang coming at him close to 100mph.
  22. curious where you went to find this map. I looked around and could not find this specific pic.
