  1. It's done. WHEW! Took two days and nearly falling on my face at the end because I forgot to eat the second day. The whole thread is over on IWSTI.com, HERE. But here's a couple quick pics: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2254/1728198899_2c27d063e8.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2315/1727605125_5a8c75fe15.jpg Did the headlights too: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2200/1728457420_890dfdfe14.jpg
  2. *coughcough* So.. umm.. How about them Patriots?
  3. Flipped Over Result: Dead Found On Road Dead Fix Or Repair Daily There's a PONTIAC one, but it's a bit racist..
  4. ^^ otherwise known as a PEBKAC error. (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) Then there's the DEU error (Defective End User) And finally the 1D10T error. As for the OP, sounds like it may be a memory or HDD error. Why did you reformat in the first place?
  5. huh.. Funny this thread popped up. Saw a Fiero on the highway today. The stock wing was on risers to put it up near the roof level, had large chrome rims, and a custom exhaust. Dunno if it had any balls, but it was clean and looked well cared for.
  6. They're going about this all backwards.. Everyone should be "on the pill" by default; like a safety on a gun. They should only come "off the pill" when they choose to have a kid. No goddamn mistakes at any age. NOTE: I use 'the pill' just for making a point. Both men and women should be chemically sterile until they BOTH choose to have a kid.
  7. I agree that it sucks that you can't go back and redo a race. That irks me, but it does make me concentrate more. I agree that the garage is just a gimmick. But what I like is that the choice of cars is limited for a particular race. It gives more of a feeling that you're progressing. In PGR3 you could start the game with an Atom! And all the other cars scaled with whatever you had so there wasn't much fun in going for the better cars. Best to stick with the cars that you drove well. I'm not expecting PGR to be another Forza. It's a totally different game.
  8. I like their dyno.. 280awhp/282tq on a Stage 1 STI.
  9. I really have nothing to compare them to. But the cool thing is that you earn kudos differently than in a car. You can stunt on the bikes for kudos and if you're feeling cocky you can taunt the other racers. PGR has never really been about realism, but more about arcade racing that isn't so far gone as to be undriveable *coughridgeracercough*. I've tried the other PGRs, but usually after the first day or so, I get bored with them. PGR4 on the other hand will probably see quite a bit of play time on my 360. Microsoft really needs to sponsor the X-Games and get a real world PGR competition going.
  10. Out of curiosity, what don't you like about the career mode?
  11. I think Forza 2 is already there. Just needs weather effects like this.
  12. I'm loving it. Being unable to go back to a race and ace it is a bit annoying, but it's interesting. Just gotta be fast on the start button to restart the race. btw, BMW M1 is awesome. So far my favorite cars are Subaru 22B, TVR Sagaris, BMW M1.
  13. You have got to get PGR4. I figured it'd be like the other three. A fun diversion, but not enough to really hold my interest... But I was wrong. Not only did they tweak the system so it's more rewarding and fun, but I was amazed by the weather. Yeah, we've seen rain and snow before. And yeah, grip goes down on rainy courses. And the lightning is fun and can startle you out of a good line. But what really blew my mind happened about midway through career mode... I finally was racing the class c cars so I got to take the BMW M1 out for a spin. It's raining, and I have to do a speed run. Third corner in, I let off the gas to to turn in and the car just goes straight. I'm thinking, "Damn, this M1 understeers like crazy when you lift." So I restart and try it again, same thing. ANother restart and I'm watching the road carefully. Standing Water! I was hydroplaning! There's standing water on the tracks when it rains. You have to remember where they are, because some can upset your car as you etner a turn, or pull you off line when you're hauling down a straight at WOT. This is awesome. If GT5 or Forza 3 don't have weather effects like this, I'll be very disappointed. Oh another high point for me: Throwing a 22B sideways through the corners of Shanghai at night in the rain.
  14. Couple quick notes on the WRX: If you can, get a 2006 or 2007. For 2006 they moved up to a 2.5L engine. The added displacement really helps with daily driving and gets you more bang for your modding buck. The transmission doesn't take abuse well. If you're going to mod for power, or plan to drive it hard (drag racing/auto-x), budget for an upgrade. (Just to note, this is just for the 5-speed in the WRX, the 6-speed in the STI is an entirely different design and nigh bulletproof.) In case you were thinking of picking up rims, the WRX still has the 5x100mm bolt pattern, whereas the STI from 05 and up went to a 5x114mm pattern. But STI hub/brake swaps are possible. The WRX is a great car. Good power, great AWD system, plus Subaru's reliability and safety. Not to mention, the local Subaru community is great. If you do pick up a WRX, you've got to come to Hocking Hills with the COS group next year. It's a blast! There were a few WRXs there that were leaving my STI behind. The above sites are a great source of information. NASIOC's community can be a bit.. abrasive.. at times. I used to spend a lot of time at ClubWRX.net and learned a lot. But I'd be happy to field any questions you have also. Feel free to PM me. You can also find me as Draco-REX on IWSTI.com and CentralOhioSubarus.com most often.
  15. Darn, and I was looking to pick up some good Junk...
  16. I think I might trade it for something like this:
  17. And I rest my case. A driver's crashes should not be used as a measure of his skill. LOL
  18. Forget NASCAR drivers, a lot of F1 drivers can't handle Monacco. Anyone who thinks their NASCAR driver can stack up against F1 drivers or Pro Rally drivers can't be persuaded otherwise. They've already thrown all reason out the window.
  19. The curve on your car is sick. That turbo must kick like a mule. So AWD winner was just 341? Damn.. I might actually win next year if the competition is the same. Knowing my luck though, someone will show up with a balls-out Evo.
  20. That looks like so much fun. Even if they top out at 80mph or so, I know my car would feel like a caddy after driving one of those.
  21. Repeating for emphasis: What's ambiguous about "put your hands behind your back." ? Some say the officer should have used more force from the beginning. What if he had? Then people would be saying "He didn't need to use that much force on a 15 year old black girl. He must be racist!" What was the situation like? I doubt there was just this random 15 year old girl walking around making trouble by herself. Were there a lot of people around? What would have happened if he had just taken her down first thing; a white cop and a young black girl? If there was even a HINT of there being touble, I think he did his job right. He pulled her around, uncooperative as she was being, to where his actions could be documented and did his best to handle the situation without violence. He was very clear on what she had to do. All she had to do was put her hands behind her back and follow his instructions. But no. She felt she didn't have to do that. She decided that she didn't have to listen to an officer of the law, and that she should do what she wants and ignore his commands. She decided that she was right to FIGHT the officer and BITE him. She thought she was above the law and being responsible for her actions. It was her decision to escalate the situation to violence, not the officer's. It was the officer's decision to stop any further act of violence from her, and it was done in a swift and decisive manner. Again, I applaud the officer. That girl got got what she deserved, maybe even getting off a little easy.
  22. I'd like to see them handle this for hours at a time. Physical Effects of Driving in F1.
  23. 92% #7 I just screwed up. Misread #8. #38 is ambiguous. I was right on my interpretation. #48 is ambiguous as well. There wouldn't be a difference in pressures without the piston moving downward.
  24. I'm sorry I didn't make it. I had Amy's fall cruise, a COS meet, and this all end up on the same day. I could only do 2. I hope there was a good turnout.
