  1. Yes but they have a different bell housing to bolt to the i5. Plus I have been the 60e route, and I'm not going through all that again, and mine is an FLT 80e so I have no worries with it. I am going to get a 1/2 ton front diff, and do some fab work to get it in there. Then I'll take all the front shafts and have some made to work. I also think I'm going to look for a 2wd TBSS rear end and get some axels made.
  2. 2wd would be much easier than mine will. Mine will have 4wd and an 80e which hasn't been done yet, so it will probably be a bitch, but I'll figure it out. I don't think a V8 swap would be very difficult by itself if you do your homework, because they make a Colorado/Canyon with a 5.3L.
  3. I'm right there with you, but I've decided it's time to move on.
  4. Mine doesn't understand why I want to get a different truck? Or why I would want it to be faster than this one. It just doesn't make cents:dumb:.
  5. Scott, I need to get decent money out of it to keep the wife happy(off my back). I'm pretty sure I have the parts lined up already, and it should be done in a weekend or so. I need to drive it while I'm putting this thing together. I might have a couple of questions to ask you since you probably have some experience working on these things.
  6. I couldn't find a v8 one for less than 25k. They all have less than 20000 miles, and most are the plain work truck trim, and crew cab. This one has everything but leather, and in excelent shape.
  7. I'm putting a stock 6.0/80e back in it, then probably selling it. That will be hard, because I've had this thing forever.
  8. 3500-3600 compared to 5200 before the turbo, and 14 bolt.
  9. DD this with the heart of the Silverado in it, maybe with the boost turned up, we'll see.
  10. I've been shopping around for one of these, and finally found one I wanted. Should be a fun project once I get the swap figured out, and finished up.http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s316/brent1976_photos/Snapbucket/32335B09.jpg
  11. There is one by the Y-bridge in Zanesville that is 9'10" with and extra lane that drops to 13' that I have only seen used a couple of times. I saw a big box truck turn into a flat bed in about 3 seconds 50' in front of me. And campers, lots of campers with no air conditioning.
  12. Nice, another fast street truck! Is it a dd like mine.
  13. My wifes car got a chip in the windshield, and when safelite came to fix it they fixed all of those little nicks also.
  14. The gasket for the transfer case side of the adapter measures out to be the same all the way around. I think I'm going to try it. I might take the pump apart to see if there is anything keeping me from being able to do this before trying it.
  15. I think I have an extra set of gaskets somewhere. I'll have to dig it out and measure the bolt pattern to see what's up. Mine has a spacer in between the tranny/transfer case so maybe 1 is and one isn't.? I'll report back when I find them.
  16. If I take a transfer case from a 4x4 silverado like mine that is chain or one with clutches can you flip it to the passenger side if you move the pick-up for the pump so it is in the bottom in fluid?
  17. My best was my first pass 12.54@107. Every time I ran after that my boost went lower and lower. I stopped and got gas on the way home and the alternator was dead. It must have been screwing with my boost controller. I still had the stocker at home so I got it fixed, but I had to get a ride home with a buddy and have the wife take me back to fix it. So much for trying out my new M/T ETStreets. I still had a good time, but now I need to get back to the track soon to get some real times.
  18. Isn't that still an AWD transmission? I thought it was going to be fast with RWD.
  19. I'll be there in my dd.
  20. Damn, I missed out. I will be there in September, that's only 20 minutes from me.
  21. Copy&Paste from Motortrend. If the 2012 Corvette was completely stock (other than safety equipment), with the same driver, then how did Chevrolet shave an impressive seven seconds off of the ZR1’s last lap time in 2008? Well again, according to Juechter, “We feel we have a pretty substantial performance upgrade.” Possibly the biggest improvement on the 2012 ‘Vette ZR1 is the addition of those Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. The DOT legal tires are quite possibly some of the stickiest rubber you can get for a production car and they’re new to the ZR1 this year. In addition to the new tires, Juechter says that the Corvette team has made other improvements to the ZR1, “We also have other chassis improvements [and] aero improvements, so we hope to show that we really improved the capability of the car.” With a seven-second lap improvement, consider us shown.
  22. Does anyone else ever wonder why they never have a ZR-1. If they do have a vette it's a Z06.
  23. I had a poster of a ta just like yours in my bedroom growing up. It is one of my all time favorites.
