  1. Tickets acquired for lunch date tomorrow.
  2. I took my Bullitt in there for the airbag recall, and the SVT Focus goes in there for alignments. 5 minutes from my house as well, and it helps that they don't screw things up, LOL. Bought the first SVT Focus there in 2008 - great experience. But Sales gave us the run-around a little when we were looking to buy a new Focus in 2014. Walked, and bought the FIAT instead. But Service has always been good. Overall, no typical "bad dealership" experiences from me.
  3. I think Kimi is great; it was nice to see him really finding that Ferrari's potential late in the season.
  4. I'm frankly disappointed that Rosberg won the championship in the first place. The guy's a fine driver, but he's a terrible race car driver - in that he's pretty bad in traffic. He does really well in qualifying, because you're out there alone, trying to make quick lap times. Then he gets on pole, or P2, and runs out ahead of the pack in turn one, and disappears. When he gets stuck back in the pack and has to contend with wheel-to-wheel racing, I think he gets rattled really quickly and can't perform. Hamilton, both Ferrari, and both Red Bull drivers are all very good wheel-to-wheel racers. I'd rather have seen any of those five guys on the top before Nico "Joffrey Baratheon" Rosberg. Glad he's leaving.
  5. I think I've seen much better on Top Gear over the years, but it was solid. The celebrity-brain-crash skit was INTERMINABLE - really brought the whole thing to a screeching halt. Surprised about that McLaren.

There are no Ford guys in here.

    Walking Dead

Rick lost his hand in the first year of the comics series. Can't believe they have gone through 6 seasons of TV and he still has it. Glenn's demise was pretty much telegraphed in issue #100, and this episode followed that pretty closely. Still, the misery porn factor was pretty off the scale. I'm betting a lot of viewers check out now.
  8. I saw footage on Jalopnik; amateur phone-cam from the lawn next to the Esses.
  9. I can't get over the design of the new Civic. It reminds me of when someone crumbles up a sheet of paper into a ball and throws it away, then they remember that they still needed it, so they dig it out of the garbage and try to flatten it back out. And you're left with all these creases that are kind of smoothed over, but it's mainly just a mess.
  10. That's the same thing everyone said in 1998 when the original iMac was released, and it didn't have a floppy drive...
  11. CPU is upgraded pretty significantly; it's an all-new chip. Don't remember any mention of RAM, but I was working and watching at the same time, so I may have missed it.
  12. SCCA weekend again I would skip it, but I'm in trophy contention, so I need all the points I can get! Interested to see how it shakes out for next season.
  13. Well, true. Would have to be one of those "mechanic's specials", LOL.
  14. Not sure what options package you use, but I just use my own Airport Express for a router; there was never any mention of them supplying one. I even bought my own modem last year to get out of their extortion/fee for using one of theirs. I've been with WOW for like 15 years or more; dead solid reliable and fast service when there is an issue (but they have only been to my house twice in all those years). My only gripe is that they keep jacking up the price, so you have to call and complain every year to keep things from getting stupid. If I never did that, I'm not convinced that I wouldn't just be paying $400 a month right now for the same service that started out at $99. THANKS LOYAL CUSTOMER, PAY ME MORE. :fuuuu:
  15. These coilovers suck. Higher-rate front springs coming soon... http://i.imgur.com/yJVs4gU.jpg
  16. I just ran in a Dragcross event last weekend in Indy - was outrageously fun. Takes a lot of real estate to set up 2 diverging autocross courses to run simultaneously, though; they have an air base just north of Indy with a monstrous concrete pad where they run it. Basically - the 2 courses both start on a christmas tree with a long straight; then at the end of the straight, they both veer off in opposing directions into their technical sections. The driver runs one side, then immediately crosses over to the other side. The timer starts again, and they run the second course. Your combined time from both courses is your time of record. They had 32 cars, so they ran it in a typical eliminator bracket. I qualified 16th - at the bottom of the fast bracket - which meant I had to race the #1 qualifier in my first race - and you can imagine how that went (I was up against a B-mod car with a GSX-R engine). But they ran a "last-chance" bracket for those in the fast 16 who went out first round, and I came back and went to the finals in that bracket. Then I red-lighted... So if anybody ever gets a chance to run in a dragcross event, DO IT.
  17. LOL, came here to post this. GOOD SHOW.
  18. SCCA is doing a 2-day event at NTR this Saturday and Sunday. I'll be in Indiana for drag-cross.
  19. That was a pretty sweet course; banging on the 7000-RPM rev limiter at the end of the straight. I am totally cool with finishing 11th, when the top 10 was so solid.
  20. Might hit the Good Guys thing on Saturday. Autocross on Sunday.

    GoT

    HBO just confirmed things. http://io9.gizmodo.com/you-can-stop-second-guessing-that-big-jon-snow-revelati-1782810006
  22. OVR-SCCA is HURTING for places to run their autocross series this year. NTR is the worst place imaginable, but it's all they have right now.
  23. That was crazy. They had to be sandbagging all season just so they could make a dramatic finish at LeMans. Corvette LOL!

    nice

Mine sits in a remote garage from November-March, with lots of mice around. After finding a nest in my center console once, and in my airbox, I bought some of these. I put a couple under the hood, a couple in the trunk, and sit one on the windshield before I throw the cover over it. Then toss one underneath the car for good measure. Knock on wood, it's been flawless. They last about a year before they start losing their effectiveness.
