  1. We used Dupont laminate in the kitchen of our last house and it was extremely durable. It was a very high traffic area and it held up quite well. We were very good about not letting water lay on it for any period of time, though. It was more expensive than most other laminates, but we though it looked a bit nicer. It did have the underlayment pre-glued to the back, which was nice.
  2. Some localities require a permit to install a new water heater. Not saying I'd get one, but it could be an issue if you have asshole neighbors and they see you carrying it out, or you leave it out on the curb for the trash man.
  3. The 34x16 was only about 2/3's of the room. The other portion is ceramic tile but will eventually be laminate. We wanted to break it up a bit. It is. It has a 20 year wear and stain warranty. If it gets worn areas or any stain that won't come out, they replace the carpet no questions asked. After 10 years we would have to pay labor, though.

  5. The area we had to carpet is 36x16. I would love to have hardwood, but I was really leery with our 105 lb. (energetic) dog. Plus, once you factor in buying area rugs the expense goes way up.
  6. $2400 worth of new carpeting she wanted for the living/dining room.
  7. A few hours northeast of Toronto. The nearest town is Plevna. Awesome bass fishing and very quiet.
  8. France and Italy in the spring and then Canada for fishing/boating in August.
  9. +1 for flushing the cooling system. Dexcool has a tendency to turn to sludge over time. Just did my Impala at 80k and it took a while to get it all flushed out. I think Layman's had the blower oil when I needed it last.
  10. Good luck to everyone. I went from 234 to 175 in 2009 and feel 100 times better in every respect.
  11. +1 for Tip Top. Great food and a lot less expensive than most of the places mentioned.

  13. Thanks man, this reinforces what I had in mind. The blower control module is considerably cheaper also, so I'll try that first.
  14. Just as the title says, when I have the blower on the speed is not constant, especially at the higher speeds. Everything else in the HVAC works as advertised and the blower works on all speed settings, but it surges. I'm thinking it's the blower control module under the dash, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this on a similar GM before. Thanks for the help!

    Lowes

This happened to us when we priced a french door at Home Depot. I told the guy from the get go that I wasn't planning on doing it for a few months and that I would be installing it myself. He then proceeded to call my house and leave messages everyday for 2 weeks asking if we were going to buy the door and to let us know about installation specials.
  16. Sorry to hear bro, that car was clean. Buy it back if it's totalled and the price is right. Accident damage is easier to fix (permanently) than rust.
  17. You should be able to have the module tested to confirm that it's bad, but it sounds like a definite possibility from what you describe. I had one do the same thing on a 93 Blazer several years ago.
  18. Are you talking Sheriff's sale? If so, then yes, that's how we bought our current home.
  19. This....(sounds a little like Idiocracy), and this.
  20. Just ordered 12 qts. Don't think I'll see it cheaper anytime soon.
  21. We sold our house last December in 3 days. Part of it was that we priced it to sell, but our realtor was really good as well. She's been in the top 3 in Licking county for years. Let me know if you want her info.
  22. My wife was following a flatbed work truck in my Impala when a box of roofing nails fell off the back and owned every tire on the car. The car didn't even have 20,000 miles on it either. Worst part was she couldn't get any info off the truck because she had to pull off the road.
