I say we wait until after the announcement on Braxton's injury. Get a nice, fresh start. So sometime today for sure. BTW - to avoid double posts just don't use the quick reply box.

He didn't do anything in the morning session and spoke after that saying he was great and the staff all thought today would be a day where he took a big step in getting back into real game shape with his shoulder. I must admit, I went back and forth for a while on being concerned/unconcerned about Braxton's shoulder as they brought him on slowly in camp but reading Herman's quotes from this afternoon I was more worried. Herman mentioned a specific "setback" with regards to "soreness" early in camp then started talking more specifically about certain muscles and whatnot. Then the afternoon/evning session takes place and who knows what exactly happened in his shoulder. Will probably know for sure in less than 10 hours.

Definitely the biggest concern. It was a concern with Braxton expected to be back there even with his mobility. Put a guy with less mobility back there now in Barrett and he may not have enough time to distribute to the WR's and H-backs and whatnot. The coaches were obviously happy with Decker at LT but I thought they seemed pretty confident last week (or maybe this weekend) when Urban said Baldwin had locked down the RT spot. Elflein was fine at RG in Hall's place for 1 3/4 BIG games last season so I expect that to continue and improve. All about the LG and C now.

BTW for anyone wondering how it happened... I'm sorry for some of you that I had to post #5 there but it's just a fact. If he's truly out for the year, you will get to hear his name again in 2015. :gabe:

Last two Heisman trophy winners were redshirt freshmen. Barrett is a lock. :masturboy: The talent around the QB has been upgraded immensely through Urban's recruiting. The defense HAS to be improved. The back end can't get much worse than it was last year. We'll see there. But all Barrett has to do is keep getting better. OSU could easily lose 3 of their first 4 (Navy, VT and Cincy) if Barrett is an absolute disaster but I really don't expect that. Just manage the game, don't do anything stupid, keep getting better through the first half of the season and get ready for the real tests in October/November.

Yeah but you haven't gotten to the point of "wanting his sperm in your belly" so obviously you're slacking.

Honestly I think it's hilarious given the timing of you people on here. If you're actually OSU fans (questionable) at least now we can see how truly "glad" you all will be to not have to hear his name or see him on the field this year.
-
All your dreams are coming true. Congrats. 4th time. Really weird they'd keep putting such a mediocre player on their cover but it is what it is.
-
Welp, some of you got what you wanted. Enjoy the season.

OSU easily loses 3-4 games in 2012 without Braxton Miller. Thanks to him they went undefeated. You people were allowed to witness only the 6th perfect season in OSU history thanks in large part to Braxton Miller. And there is a post on this page that says they will be GLAD to no longer have to hear their name. Like I said... dumb or spoiled... take your pick.

You can't make an argument about time and be taken seriously if you're going to say Braxton has played 4 years full time. The guy he's going to be overtaking? Art Schlichter. A TRUE 4-year starter who was with the same offense the whole time. Braxton didn't start until the 4th game of a season where OSU had probably the worst offensive staff in OSU history. Then he missed 3 games last season where he could have put up disgusting numbers to pad his stats. He would already hold some of these records had he not been injured for SDSU, Cal and FAMU. Even missing those games he finished 9th in last year's Heisman voting. As for moments where the ball should have been given to Hyde over Miller... there's 1. Either 3rd and 3 or 4th and 2 against MSU, Hyde should have gotten the ball. The play where Miller "failed" is a 10+ yard gain if Heuerman gets his block. I think slamming Hyde up the middle twice gets the 3 yards and likely a lot more every single time but I'm fine with one of those going to Braxton. On 3rd down when they swung Hyde out wide I about turned the game off. That shit didn't work all night and it wasn't going to work there. Herman outsmarted himself that game and conceded a good chunk of running to the MSU D's reputation. yenner took care of the easy stats for me so I don't have to go there. Braxton is great. 99.9% of OSU fans realize that and then, for some reason, there's you guys on here... :lolguy:

It must be so painful hearing the name of the person who, in all likelihood, is going to hold the ALL-TIME OHIO STATE RECORDS for total offense, total passing, total TD's and passing TD's. He also has a really good shot at being the winningest QB in Ohio State history. All accomplished after basically wasting away his freshman year under a staff with no head coach, no QB coach and not even really an average offensive mind on it. I'm not sure which word would be best in this situation... dumb or spoiled.

A different Kind of Kill story... African Style!

That's a good question. We don't know their laws, their language. There's no telling what atrocities they may have committed. -
Braxton is going to hold so many OSU records after this season barring an injury that sidelines him for more than a game or two. Guess there just haven't been many good players at OSU if he's not that good... :lolguy:

Couldn't believe that when I saw it. One of the top posts on all of reddit is about this wreck... Here's the link for anyone interested... http://i.imgur.com/tdtxJ0w.jpg I'm pretty desensitized by internet stuff but I know a lot of others may not be but the picture isn't the greatest quality... look in the grass maybe 7-8 feet off the road and you'll see the light-colored object.

A lot of misconceptions here... The media won't let it happen? He finished 5th as a true sophomore on a team that was banned from the post-season. Has to be from one of the top 2 teams? As people have pointed out... Manziel, RG3, Tebow, etc. Last year was a nice combination of the best player being on the best team. Same with Cam Newton in 2010 regardless of any off the field shenanigans. Ingram on Bama in 2009 and Bradford on Oklahoma in 2008 were probably the only ones that were kinda meh where they just gave it to a star from one of the top teams just because they were a star on a top team. If Braxton deserves it, he'll get it.

Reminds me a lot of Halo 3 which was where I think the Halo series went wrong. I do enjoy, like playing Last Titan Standing in Titanfall, consistent accuracy and headshots being rewarded but then someone plows in with a vehicle on the Moon map or hops in with their fist special ability or bomb special ability and you're just dead. At least with the Hunter's golden gun you still have to aim a little bit. It's interesting but it really just feels like Halo remade with an MMO blueprint. I'll probably just wait for the Master Chief Collection in November and play Halo 2 for the rest of my life.

The story about the little girl who some growers in CO basically "engineered" special weed for to help with her seizures was probably the story that, for me, made the benefits too obvious to ignore. Not that I was ever against it but I've never smoked weed, never really been interested in it but after reading that story it was hard not to support it being as legal and available to those who need it as possible. Here's the story... http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/07/health/charlotte-child-medical-marijuana/ That story was put up 8/7/2013 and Gupta, referenced already in this thread, came out with his "Why I changed my mind on weed" thing the next day. So it's safe to say Charlotte's story had the same effect on him.

HEARSAY. I MISSED THAT WORD IN A 5TH GRADE SPELLING BEE AT MY SCHOOL AND I WILL NEVER FORGET.

LJ Scott to MSU. People thought that may happen with the rumblings of a July commitment to OSU from Damien Harris. But now that Scott pulled the trigger I wonder if Harris relaxes and doesn't commit now. The motivation behind it was that he was interested in being the only RB in the class and his commitment could either scare Scott off or have the staff back off of Scott a bit. And it looks pretty solidly like Baker is going to commit to Florida tomorrow. No matter which way this was going to go tomorrow everyone has been saying it's not over. If he was going to announce for OSU, Florida and Tennessee wouldn't have backed off and when he announces tomorrow for Florida OSU certainly isn't going to back off. In the end people still expect him to sign with OSU...haha.
-
I still think 20-22 is the number. Also, there is some smoke out there that Jerome Baker may choose Florida instead of OSU on Friday. Kid has taken 1 visit down there so it would be strange but it's floating around out there.
-
And just like that, another scholarship opens up for the 2015 class...haha.

When WOW bought Knology everything started to go downhill. Real shame because they were really solid for a couple years. TWC has been fantastic for me thus far though. Customer service is a joke but that's to be expected with a national company like this and why I only have internet from them and use my own modem.

On ESPN... which I wouldn't ever use for anything. On the 247 composite OSU is up from 25 to 13. About a month ago OSU was somewhere around 60 and they'll be comfortably inside the top 10 by the end of this month.
