Yup, apparently so. I showed up @ 10:10, (court was @ 10:00), signed in and talked to the prosecutor. At first I was going to ask for a continuance but since I didn't see the cop in the courtroom (with the rest of the other cops) I asked him (prosecutor) "is he (cop) even going to show up?" (then somewhat explained the circumstances behind the ticket). Prosector told me he gives everyone a half hour after the official court time to show up, and if the cop hadn't shown up by that time to come talk to him. 10:35 rolled around, walked up and asked him "hey he hasn't shown up yet, can I request a dismissal?" 5 minutes later dude walked up to me and said "your all set":fuckyeah: Whole thing took less then 30min.

Cop never showed up to court. Case dismissed :fuckyeah:

If the noise started off while you were in park (and park only) I have a hard time believing it's related to the Trans. Small amounts of shavings in the pan are generally considered acceptable wear, especially in a high mileage transmission. Second problem sounds like a TCC lockup issue. Most 90's GM's tend to have rough/harsh TCC lockups. Does it shift rough all the time? My 95 Eldorado only seemed to shudder on TCC lockup during inclines/declines.

The Transmission problem is common and extremely well documented, hell they even covered it in my Auto Trans class.

I was looking at one for the old man, test drove it and will say they are quite sporty. It's worth noting there is a optional manual Getrag 5speed offered from 2000-2002 (V6 only), hands down the best of both worlds. If I were to come across one here in the next few months I would snatch it up in a heartbeat.

Transmission issues with the accumulator, trans needs to be re-bored and a new accumulator installed $$$$ Job. The rear ball joints are encased in the hub, only way to replace them is to replace the hub, which is about $975 from the stealership. Also the V8 is a Jaguar engine, V6 is made by ford. I'd go with the V6.

IMO it seems like they were planning more attacks, since they had bombs and what not on them during the chase. Whatever the case these guys are fucking idiots.
