First verify it is indeed the fan motor that went bad and not the capacitor,relay or board that's at fault. But yes, servicing the fan motor is IMO relatively easy: make sure there is no power going to the AC, take the side cover off the unit, disconnect the wiring and slide the fan cage out. Then just undo a couple bolts and the motor should slide right out. I've done a few of them and the biggest issue I have run into is sometimes the nut on the squirrel cage seizes up and won't release the end shaft of the motor. Other then that they are usually cake, finding a replacement motor on the other hand can be problematic unless you have an account somewhere (Grainger etc).

It's not like I scream "get fucked asshole" out the window...More like "dude your're going to get killed". My initial post was definitely misleading, more of a troll response then being srs, I tried to clear that up.

My applogies for starting shit, didn't realize this had already been covered (I never touched the Cycling thread for a reason) Before it gets locked I would like to add that if and when I do flame you guys it's for your own good, as the scenario your're in the midst of is extremely dangerous and should something go down YOU will be the ones feeling the pain, not me. Other then that I just tend to shake my head when I see Cyclist in the city, especially those without helmets/hella-lights (at night)

Judging people by whom they live with is a recipe to either A. get your self pwnd, or B. Get a fist in the face (or both)...I think we've already been through this. Life often times gets fucking rough, things don't always go as planned.

And please don't get my attitude towards cyclist confused with my attitude towards Bikes in general. I lost one of my boys to a Motorcycle accident shortly after high school and about 4 years ago had another real good buddy wind up in full-body cast after smashing straight into a the side of a mini-van on Riverside drive (I think he was going 55mph, didn't even have time to hit the brakes).

I dont do it everytime, but in certain circumstances they need a wake up call. You got rush hour traffic going across a bridge, cars flooring around you, cutting people off, guys slamming on there brakes, and there's a side walk right next to you with nobody on it. Sorry but there's no excuse for that.

Seriously tho, why dont you guys just get on a sidewalk when it's rush hour and you know you're creating a dangerous situation? I mean if there's no sidewalk then fine, but man does it piss me off when cyclist are creating a dangerous situation in the middle of rush-hour and refuse to use a sidewalk.

I dunno which is worse, cyclist or feminist.
