does that say 12k or 16k on the mirror tag? if you paid either one of those for a V6 car you need kicked in the jimmy. looks pretty clean though.
  7. stock exhaust? since its a V6 it may be sometimg in the exhaust that when the exhaust gas flows over it at idle it makes the noise. the corvettes had something along the lines but it sounded like a jingle and it was due to a hole that was drilled in the H-pipe on the inside.
  8. yes, look for it in the new suburban at first then the 1/2 ton trucks.
  9. he thinks he did a head cam. i just cleaned his stock ones up and put them in the hot tank. the IPS logo took me some time to engrave in the end of the one head though. oh and i know what it made too.
  10. its best to just take the hub cap off and remove the axle nut with the car still on the ground unless you have an impact. put the axle nut back on untill its flush with the end of the axle then tap it back with a hammer. the hub bolts are 13mm, it can be hit with a hammer from the back side to come right off. be sure to clean the mounting surface before you put the new hub on.
  11. if you have all your paper work you can send a copy to GM and you may be able to get your money back.
  12. bring them to me and i can get you guys taken care of when you get the letter. you can also PM me the last 8 of your VIN and i can see if your in it already.

  15. dan, look at the new millermatic welders. they are some kick ass units for the price, i have the millermatic DVI so i can do 110 and 220 from the same machine.
  16. just so you know your temp gauge can read right due to air pockets. you can get air traped right there by the sensor and it will read what it was before it got the air and the hot air will keep it there but not make it hotter. water boils at 220*, with a sealed system that will raise the boiling point if you pressure. with cracked tanks its an open system and very easy to boil over. i have worked on cars that boil over (even with 50/50 coolant mix) then you put the cap on and all is well. 1980's corvettes come to mind with that one.
  17. joe just so you know, your my hero.
  18. Need a dirt bike for anything? its worth a shot anyways.
  19. i have rear shocks and a stock torque arm off an 02' SS car.
  20. so its a draw when money is envolved because she has to pay more either way. the only thing you get is a closer drive to work in a shitty part of town vs. where your at now, well maybe since i don't know where your at now and where you were looking at.
  21. boiling over is from over heating. you might not have enough radiator to cool your horse power. i know it doesn't sound like it makes any sense but it can happen. air in the system won't blow out the end tanks.
