  1. Buy the largest generator you can afford. Trust me! You'll end up using it more in the future for other things as well. I actually wired my house so I could use mine in the event of a power outage and I have used it a few times. I have a 5500/6250 and wish I had bigger. Its not quiet but it runs almost everything I need.
  2. And contortionists can fit in a small box. Doesnt mean its easy to do, or comfortable! This pic means nothing to me.
  3. Im generally not a fan of AR Pistols but that is a clean, sharp looking build. Well done!

pellet gun will work just fine and is probably the most humane if youre planning on dispatching them.
  6. XP mode in 7. Nuff said if you have 1 crappy outlier prog
  7. I have a copy of P90 on my laptop for the girlfriend. Need to get a copy of Insanity for her as well.
  8. Been posted before but.. That thing would be able to be pried open in under 3 min!! PASS!!!!
  9. Not talking tinfoil or anything. Just stating facts. If something were to happen your forum and its members will get negative attention. No different than assphault junkies during the highway wheelies and no different then Columbus Racing after that crash.
  10. Actually I posted in your thread after I posted my thread of which the timestamps validate. And originally I just had a link in yours to mine which I was going to start doing every time I saw a SHTF thread from here on out. I thought better of it and decided that I wasnt going to do that either which is why I deleted it. It really wasnt aimed at you or anyone else. Honestly! Unfortunately, you just happened to post one around the same time over the period where I had been seeing them more frequently. Like I said, it wasnt aimed at you or anyone else and thats the truth.
  11. Like I said, Just an observation. Gun owners have a hard enough time as is without additional attention. Think if something were to happen then you would have people (news sites, etc) referencing "The out of control, paranoid gun toting motorcyclist forum" Firearm ownership requires responsibility and maturity and should be treated as so.
  12. They are vances sister store. More focus on hunting, fishing, etc. They are about 35 min east of cbus. Youre closer to vances.
  13. nevermind Editing again because I will give my honest opinion my main goals are SHTF - occasional coyote blasting - and target shooting 100-200yds Do you want to hit what you are aiming at? Expect around 3-5"+ groups with the AK at 100 depending on how good a shooter you are. Probably closer to 7" at 200 i like the accuracy and range of the ar - but i like the punch of the ak Even at 500 yards, Punch wont matter if you hit what your aiming at (i.e Vitals) You said 100-200 yards ar10 would be ideal, but its out of my budget Gets Expensive fast when doing semi auto on .308. Bolt guns would be my choice in .308 im leaning towards an AK - what would be a good one? i want a synthetic one if i get one Dont know much about different model/brands of AK's i see a ton of ARs on armslist in my budget - but i know nothing about them, they seem ridiculously complicated They are only complicated until you get 1 and strip it the first time then they are no different than any other firearm.
  14. No offense to anyone as I know that winter has changed peoples focus a bit but the "What gun and ammo do I need for when SHTF?" threads are a bit ridiculous IMO. Ive seen a few of these in the last few days alone. If you really want to ask/answer those questions, head on over to ar15.com or some zombie forum. All its showing is your lack of understanding about firearms, their usage, and probably general common sense. Like I said, not intended to put anyone down but come on and at least try and act a bit more mature when asking firearms related questions. /EndRant!
  15. Im sure a few of you have seen my feeler thread. Well I officially got around to pulling together a list of everything I have and approximate values. Starting at $5,500 just because I know you SOB's will want to haggle and low ball. Honestly, $5,000 is a pretty fair deal considering everything I have. And at this point, I am not willing to break up the deal just yet. Im posting here first before putting in up on the WERA classified and other racing forums. Giving OR members the first crack especially since many of you are close. Also open to dealing if someone has a Nice workhorse 4x4 Quad. Looking for something I can hunt with, put a plow on, winch, etc. 2005 Suzuki GSXR 750 This bike currently has a salvaged title since I crashed it at MidO a few years back. I rebuilt it and still use it at my track bike. Its 100%... All it needs to make it street legal again is to put the street plastics back on and have it inspected for $25 or whatever it costs. Ill even help you do it if you want. The reason for the salvaged title is that I snapped the tail mounts off and had to have them re-welded by Reuben at 35 Motorsports. I still have all the street plastics, lights, mirrors, etc and they are in pristine shape. (Blue/Black color scheme from 05) The rebuild of the forks and rims and overall inspection after the crash was all done by Reuben at 35 Motorsports who gave it a good to go, no issues, no tweaked frame, ext Suspension was setup by Lizard / AKA STT Brian back when we both had the exact same bike, shock, tires, etc. He will vouch for the condition of the bike! 16. Let me check with a friend that has a .50. Do you have any better pics of the ammo? The shoulders and necks look pretty corroded in that one pic?
  17. I will probably pic up a copy of this book.. Just an FYI for those that may be interested. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2081430/255-confirmed-kills-Meet-Navy-SEAL-Chris-Kyle--deadliest-sniper-US-history.html#ixzz1iTgM368F http://www.theblaze.com/stories/this-navy-seal-sniper-is-the-deadliest-in-u-s-history-can-you-guess-his-longest-shot/ Quote - NY Post http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/meet_the_big_shot_BxlVpxzQijkC9mwZcmwkrN#ixzz1iJy9zEYU Secluded on the top floor of a bombed-out four-story apartment building north of war-scarred Fallujah, Iraq, Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle is just getting comfortable. It’s November 2004. Thanksgiving time. The second battle of Fallujah has launched, and Kyle is swaddled in silence atop an upturned baby crib, studying the enemy through a Nightforce 5.5-22x power scope attached to a .300 Win Mag rifle. He’s feeling badass. “We just got word that the president of Iraq said that anyone left in the city is bad — meaning, clear to shoot,” he recalled for The Post. “From that point on, every fighting-age male was a target.” That was just fine with Kyle, who spent five weeks in the hideout, protecting Marines on the ground and bagging seven confirmed kills — adding to his official total of 160, making him the deadliest sniper in US history. “After the first kill, the others come easy. I don’t have to psych myself up, or do anything mentally — I look through the scope, get the target in the cross hairs and kill my enemy before he kills one of my people,” Kyle writes in his new autobiography, “American Sniper.” During his 10-year career as a member of SEAL Team 3, Kyle, 37, saw action in every major battle during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He became known among his fellow SEALS as “The Legend.” The enemy was less complimentary. In Ramadi, insurgents put an $80,000 bounty on his head and branded him “Al-Shaitan Ramadi” — “The Devil of Ramadi.” “That made me feel like I was actually doing my job and having an effect on the war,” he said. In north-central Texas, Kyle grew up dipping tobacco, riding horses and hunting deer, turkey and quail — a cowboy at heart. He got his first gun at 8 years old — a bolt-action 30-06 rifle. The son of a Sunday-school teacher and a church deacon, Kyle credits a higher authority for his longest kill. From 2,100 yards away from a village just outside of Sadr City in 2008, he spied a man aiming a rocket launcher at an Army convoy and squeezed off one shot from his .338 Lapua Magnum rifle. Dead. From more than a mile away. “God blew that bullet and hit him,” he said. For Kyle, the enemy is a “savage” — there’s no room for gray, only black or white. His Charlie platoon even adopted the insignia of the comic-book vigilante The Punisher, spray-painting skulls on their body armor, vehicles, helmets and guns. “You see us? We’re the people kicking your ass. Fear us, because we will kill you, motherfucker,” he writes. The married father of two is now president of Craft International, an outfit that provides sniper and security training for the US military. He teaches what’s required to take that perfect shot: Study the terrain, correct for elevation and wind, prepare for the vibration after the shot, and keep in mind the Coriolis effect, the effect of the rotation of the Earth on a bullet’s trajectory. “You need skill to be a sniper, but you also need opportunity. And luck,” he said. He retired a chief petty officer, and along the way, collected an armload of hardware, including two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars with valor. “That’s just candy,” Kyle said. “That’s not why we were there.” ----------------------- Long shot: Mr Kyle poses here with the rifle, a .338 Lapua Magnum, he used to kill an insurgent from 2,100 yards away outside Sadr City" That's a McMillan Tac-338, McCann NV rail, with a Leupold Mk4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhjHWovwix4&feature=player_embedded
  18. Yeah I know you can. I just dont know much about the offerings for the savage swap barrels.
  19. hahahah.. and who would you be talking about. Wait until I throw the Jewell I have laying around in the .308. Adjustable down to a few ounces.
  20. Its not just the barrel Tom, You are forgetting the 30-06 is a long action and the .308 is a short action.. Might need a new bolt due to the length.
