  1. Don't know what your plans for this vehicle is but ,I had a '12 rtl. It was a great people hauler liked the way it looked but there always something I didn't care for. The the time came to use it as a truck. I used it with a mc trailer to haul a vtx 1800 from 1 burb to another. The thing had no ass, no heart it felt like it struggled the whole time. I sold it to carmax and never looked back.

Its a Honda. They invented the term "torquless wonder"

  2. I would of snagged this up, but the whole 3rd gear not being proper set me back. How bad is it?

It goes in every time even when bouncing off the limiter-just makes a "chheekk" sound lol.

As notes, I am also including another trans!!!

I finally brought the car home to clean up some loose ends in the engine bay, add some interior bits, and be able to finally show it to perspective buyers. Also took some pics of the interior that may have asked for. Someone did come look at the car but could not tell if it was rusty or not (at night) so I wanted to show how clean the car was for a 1991 Japanese car with 135k logged miles on the body. Mind you it still has not been washed.

Car does come with a full 5 point harness. Only 2 are installed here so you have a lap belt. I would recommend adding a harness bar before installing the shoulder belts! Car did not come with the OE seat belts but they are easy to source at the local wrecker (any 89-95 CSM manual belt will work here) 97+ may as well but I’m not sure. Here are the full disclosure pics.

This is the whole car- dirty-not rusty! its just lived been outside with no interior since 2008 and I have not had time to give it a thorough cleaning. Considering how limited my time is these days and the amount of interest, I doubt it will get that cleaning in my possession.

Interior with the floor mats pulled. Car does come with most plastics but you would need to source or add a carpet and back seat to give it a full interior.

Also a note hood is plasti dipped (not by me) if you could not tell from the pics.

Hope its addresses everyone's questions and concerns.

Mid 130's car for 4k. :lolguy:

  3. How much rust?

What you see is what you get! She is a clean car. Only rust to speak of is actually some minor surface rust on the inside floor. I suspect from it being outside without a carpet-condensation. one coat of POR 15 would cover it easily. Frame is clean- strut mounts are perfect.

Current local Bid is at $4k "next week". CR member may get it before then though. ;)

  4. Tilley I was in the same spot as you. I was dead seat on buying 1+ ac and building what I want, with the garage I want......ect. But with 2 kids and looking at market pricing over the last few years, I changed gears and looking to build IN a neighborhood with a semi-custom builder. Why? Sidewalks....walking distance to parks and schools. young kids want to play with other young kids and if I built what "I" wanted, I would have to cart them around in a car anywhere they wanted to go. Now, they can grow up like I did-walking and biking to everyone's house and growing up "low-tech", hand on, and in real life. And when would I have time to maintain 1+ ac? LOL I barley have time to wipe my own butt some days!

Still getting land .66 ac, backs up to woods, on cul-de-sac, and will have #2 of 550 houses in the neighborhood. 3+car garage and momma gets sidewalks and a great neighborhood/school system. Everyone wins!

  5. so the ad mentioned AWD conversion...how hard is it to convert to AWD? I imagine it uses talon/laser/eclipse parts but is it bolt in or a new subframe needs to be made?

Did it? I may have mentioned a previous build with the same turbo...but just as a point of comparison.

Difficulty for somthing like an AWD swap is 100% relative of the ability of the person asking the question. These days there are clear instrucations online. Once guy even sells a DVD of how to do it! If your handy with a welder and can soruce the parts (people GIVE away 3 colt rear ends and subframes these day) its honesly not that bad.

just measure twice, tack, them measure again and you'll be good. :)

  6. unreal that car is going that cheap. Alot of car for the money. GLWS

Its a 10 from far, but far from 10 :) Its definatly a GREAT deal for the money though! Thats for sure.

DSM market is tough. You can have 50k into a car and still not see 10k for it. Thats why I never, ever dumped big money into them. Just some time, elbow greese, and zip ties :)

I highly doubt you could find a cheaper car with even close to the dollar per HP ratio, or hell HP to weight ratio! :megusta:

    Is it your?

Yes. Cant claim all the mods though-bought it as a non working basket case. It is now a significanlty impoved nicer basket. :p

  7. T-56 for a V1 CTS-V. From a stock car totaled-purchased from CPAP with 68k on the clock. Came with warrenty. Looks and feels perfect. Only selling because I sold my V! Will entertain trades for Ls1 style T-56's + Cash or used Magnum units.
