Yea on e85 with 317 heads and a cam I call BS
E85 is not magic-the gas itself does not yield more power-just allows you to use it like race gas and offers lower combustion temps vs. pump gas.
317's would lower my compression and net me LESS power.
It's not my fault Chad is offering a very efficient billet wheel's turbo. Call him and complain about it! :lolguy:

So much awesome.
Your budget builds never cease to amaze me
Thanks Brotha!
Seems like an extended amount of hp for a stock ls1 with 14.6 psi. I am having a difficult time with the numbers. Its actually not far from where Ryan was with an single borg on his. When it traps 150mph, we will know its legit.

PM me a price.
No PM needed. 11k would take it home since I am not looking to sell it and time soon, but if someone had to have it....
If your in the market another really nice FC that's ready to race

Thanks for the inspiration man. Cant wait to throw a 76-80mm single or YSi on the C5 now. I'm going after that stock LS record too, lol.Thanks- and do it! I told Ryan we should have a dyno day together and stay until someone windows a block.

This still available?

Opinions on a Plate??
Funny quote people keep commenting on
Or do I bring it back?
And, what seems most appropriate so far

Getting closer.
Everything is for sale. You knock on my door and have enough cash, everything is negotiable.
-
I've give you $5K for it RIGHT now.
Daddy don't like just breaking even.

that car is beautiful before you started, how much?
Thanks.
If you asking about initial investment I traded for a 01 Civic with $1000 on top (I had about $1800 into the civic was t belt victim) and it came with an Ls1, hacked truck harness, T56, and many spare RX-7 parts. The car was a swap project abandon 7 years ago and sat ever since.

JP,
That is question more for the mods. You may get a run in or two, depending which track. If that is the case, please let us when know you run up there, I would travel up there to see you car laying it down.
Happy New Year!
Rick
For sure-and to you as well!
Dates for 2015 established yet?

Nice build with great results. I would like to see the car in action at an upcoming Cr track rental.
I'd love to, but how is tech for a track rental down there? Up here, its anything goes. Last time I was at Trails for a rental they were enforcing the need for a cage/shute for 9 second cars. I'd hate to go down for a rental just to be told to go home.

Any idea if the promo codes will work tomorrow during surge pricing? Sounds like its going to get crazy expensive.
I already used mine, but might have the misses sign up so we can take advantage of it.
For reference: http://money.cnn.com/2014/12/29/technology/uber-new-years-eve-2015/
Yes, the promo code is
STOP BEING A YUPPIE AND TAXI A DAMN TAXI

Nice numbers!
Thanks. My car is your second cousin.
Very nice. what rear end is in it?Stock. The car came with 3 stock spare rear ends and axles. The are stock (have gone 8's in stock rear/suspension) but like all thinks, don't like drive line shock. I will likely exhaust these before I look to upgrade

And cars keep going fast haha. Have you joined the facebook group, Sloppy Mechanics? I think you would fit in well over there and enjoy some of the builds posted.
I have not-not a huge FB'er.
Do I need an invite?

. I have a friend that has a 2011 Evo X and a fun car to drive (Has most bolt on's and about 340 to the wheels). Plus 100 ponies would be a different car.
.
No, it wont.
In fact, it will be about the same give or take 10whp
-
Staying away from 4g junk now?
It's funny, years of you building crap you're engineering stays the same regardless of platform haha
And my pockets just keep getting fatter from it!
I do enjoy maximizing the budget to almost unbelievable levels with my builds.
-
Very cool. If your going down, may as well go down swinging!!
-
These high or Low impedance?
-
Hell yea thats cool man, what trans are you running?
Beat T56
Thanks again for providing such a great product at an affordable price! These turbos are killing the game!
If the motor makes it through the season we will me making some dyno passes at 20+psi. Record Runs!
-
Damn you got more balls to push it than I do, I'm hoping for 850 through a 6.0 with a cam heads Intake with rod hints and head studs lol
I have a 6.0L in the garage I got for $100 as backup I will slowly set up with the "standard" studs/gasket/springs mod.
I know, I joined itLOL didn't see that coming!!!
What is that going in?
Jesus...You make me want to finish my truck so bad.....I wish I could find a damn local Shop/Garage to rent with heat.....FMLStill have the shop down there? Can you mod at the house? Your build is straight nasty!
Nice! Sounds healthyWhat fuel?
540@8psi was on piss winter 93 (let me tell you, the fuel SMELLS like shit-not sure whats in it, but I can see why people blow shit up on it)
14-15psi was a pump/cam 2 mix. Its a safe pump tune, but not worth the risk with a 100% stock motor.

Damn nice numbers. Did you even add rod bolts?
Its a 100% unopened timebomb from GM. I didn't even drop the pan for oil drains-I used the OEM level senor hole LOL
Stupid....in a good way! Thanks. The dark side IS good!
-
Damn!!! Was waiting to see what kind of numbers this made but i am impressed! Especially for how cheap you put it together
Wait until I lift the skirt and leter' eat
So whens the sam vs jp race going down? He's get me from a dig being auto-from a roll would be interesting. I have a lot of room left on the Jam knob but I know I am on borrowed time every pull above 15psi that I do-the Ls1 rods (I think) are among the thinnest in the stock LSx family.
Nice number JP, how does the car put the power down?Like shit-I did some test hits when it was 45 yesterday and it would blow the tires off in 5th once it got over 10psi. Yes, 120mph burnouts. This is on a cold road with 255 street tires and stiff coil overs though-I expect it to hook well with 275 DR's and if not i will bolt the drag pac on. F it.
-
Christ that's a ton of HP - what a blast that must be on the street.
Congrats! In for vids of it on the street.
From the original Don of the TT Lsx's- thanks

Jerry put up his phone video. More to come when we get them off the go-pro

Twin Turbo LS RX-7 736whp on a BONE STOCK LS1
in Pics and Vids
Posted
Your understanding of how a turbo works is incorrect. 1 bar with x turbo will not equal 1 bar with y turbo. It was already mentioned, but I will let you do your own research on that.
The tune, turbo set up, and everything else I have done with the car was done intentionally to keep the torque as low as possible. Torque bends rods and breaks parts, not horsepower. This is exactly what I wanted.
I can assure you the motor is bone freakin stock-never had the valve covers or oil pan off. There is no point in my falsifying this- as most in not all other in the stock motor group are adding ARP hardware and metal head gaskets.
I have nothing to hide, but if you want to pay my time in labor I'd be happy to take it apart.
Let me know, and I will send you my paypal info.
I mentioned to Ryan that if we both make it to the end of the year, it would be great if we could do a back to back dyno session and just stay until one of us is over 900whp, or we both blow up LOL.
