  1. Big thanks to Erik@http://www.backstreetper.com/ for the super safe tune that I can beat on the car all day, every day, worry free! Car drives better than it did stock with a MAF

Video! From my buddies phone. There is some Go-Pro stuff he will try and get up soon. This was at around 12 psi. My excitement was from raising the boost with vacuum T's and having it hold steady till redline (yes, I forgot to bring a boost controler)

Car made 736/654 @ 202kpa (around 14.6 psi give or take)

  2. I have to start this with a big thanks to Erik at http://backstreetper.com/ for the time, knowledge, and super safe tune. I will have zero hesitation laying into this thing every time I get it out.

Well after fixing some stuff, finding more broken stuff, and adding more zip ties, we managed to make some power pulls.

    On gate-8psi-540whp

at 14.8 psi (202 logged KPA) it made 736whp/654 trq. Full spool happened around 4800 in 4th (410 rear gear/T56). Honestly surprised how much HP per PSI this think was picking up. It was already a long night and we had not drank enough to throw 20+psi at it, so we called it a night. But, I think the stock LS1 record would have been in serious jeopardy!

The car comes on boost like its making 1000whp. It runs and sounds ridiculous. I am 100% happy with the outcome, and still have a lot of cleaning up and improving to do with the bay and the harness. This is still a 100% bone stock Ls1, so I think it would be good to shoot for 850+ when I install my "trash-Cam" and a set of valve springs.

Videos soon-my go pro died but I think Jerry got a few at full song.

    pressure tested, and installed.

Actually more or a pain than any other car I have built one for due to Mazda's great fuel tank Baffle.

Investment=$0. Car had a 255 in it, and I pulled one out of a dusty box from a DSM part out many moons ago. A drill, welder, and a dream-and we are in business! Wires with 12 GA wire and a 40 amp relay, we should be good to 800+ RWP

Installed with a used rising rate regulator,

and we are 99% ready for some baseline runs. If everything falls into place we will be on the dyno Friday night. :)

  4. mine does it art - its a subaru thing. My 08 did it too

Base point for me is, nothing should squeak on a car.

Subaru LOL. I'm with this guy. Just because someone hugged a tree when you purchased the car does not mean at 30k it should literally sound like a C-list winter beater.

  5. I would say the NES and Super Mario Brothers was a "cultural phenomenon" in the 1980's and 1990's. Remember the movies The Wizard, Super Mario Bros. movie, Super Mario Brothers Super Show Cartoon, Mario Bros. Cereal, etc....

Yes, Mario brothers was epic (still is IMO) but to only very young people of that age who all (hopefully) grew out of it and stepped into adulthood. Point being video game play at this level is very juvenile.

The popularity on this game IMO shows how far our society has come in the IT age, and in this case its movement in the wrong direction.

  6. Someone ordered Cherry's cookies at work (they were actually pretty terrible-first time for everything) and the eventual conversation led to one of my bankers says she new him. She only know him post-cycle, so she does not think he was ever the skinny nerd we all knew and loved. :)

Anyone have some pics I can use to prove my point? I have $100 on this bet :)

  7. Minecraft is bigger than every thing you were into as a kid combined. It's a huge cultural phenomenon. Never played it but that is how it was described to me.

Am I the only person that things no video game should be a "cultural phenomenon"? This is the first time I have heard of it-and after watching the previews/game-play on youtube, it looks like I have not been missing anything.

Also $20 beats the hell out of $60 plus 12 $15 dlc packs like many other games have gone to.

Wait- you have to pay $20 for this game?!?!?! LOL

    We are fucking doomed.

  8. So this nerd

    http://uiartstalk.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/markus-persson.jpg

Created this generic ass web site/team

    https://mojang.com/

Which has this simple, stupid phone game as its crowning achievement

    https://minecraft.net/

And somehow sells it to Microsoft for 2.5 Billion Fucking Dollars?

Then, buys the most expensive house in Beverly Hills....

    Dafuq am I missing here????

  9. So its a dig at the VW that Ford has to discount their cars 5k to sell them? :gabe:

Way to address the power comparison :lolguy:

Are you hanging your hat on a 4whp improvement for $11,000 :confused:
