I had an 04 Colorado Z71 for 5 years when I got rid of it (105k miles). Had the I5 auto engine and middle of the road options, and yeah..I was less then kind to it also. Went fine with only minor issues (mostly warranty/recall stuff) till about 90k miles. Then the speed-wheel sensor went out on the front right tire which causes the ABS to kick off. The only fix for this....is the replace the whole wheel hub. Dad and I fixed this for about $250 (gm-parts direct) and in 5 hours. Shop wanted near $800 to do it. As a subnote, for those considering colys...the front rotors are part of the wheel hub. So to change the rotors you have to take the hub off each wheel...which is less then fun. I changed the rotor out when i had to replace the hub asmby, but only because I had it off then....or I probably would have waited a bit longer.
