  2. Since Franklin County sucks. Trust me. But welcome to the site from a former Lancaster rider! Make sure to hit 664 from Millersports to Logan and back!
  3. Just reread all the posts.... 4. And on a side note, I took my 1000rr out for him to check what Superbike Suspension did to it at CMP....he instantly found the problem. No rebound or compression damping (1/2 click?) He adjusted it to the proper setting and gave it back to me in 2 minutes at no charge!!!! Versus the 15min $80 setup that almost caused me to wreck. I will be going out to him from now on and recommend him to anyone with questions or needing work on their bikes.
  5. I wanted to give a big thanks to Reuben for all the work he did on my bike over the winter. I brought my bike to him at pretty much the worse time ever, with the semi blizzard conditions that closed down many parts of the interstate and schools for days. And on an open trailer no less. When I got there, Reuben greeted me outside and helped me unload the bike. Unfortunately, the cover that I had put over the bike had gotten torn and the bike was pretty much trashed with snow and salt. (Imagine taking your bike and pouring a whole bag of flour over it…..that’s about what it looked like from the salt and packed snow) Knowing how this would eat away at the metal, he pushed it into the garage to let the snow melt and we went over what I wanted to have done. I got loaded back up for the trip home and Reuben got out his hose and sprayed down the bike to clean what he could. I brought him his first Ohlins 30mm kit for the front and he did the background on what would be best for my bike. He got it installed with little hassle, as to be expected even though the stock tubes make it super tight. Next went in Penske Shock. The CBR didn’t really have a great place to put in the reservoir, but Reuben made room and clamped it all in. And finally, as I had a done a pretty noobish job at safety wiring up the bike, I asked him to go over it and fix anything I did wrong or install the parts that I missed. Man o Man, did he do a great job. New R-Clips inside tubing to make it easier to change tires and move around. And as proof of the detail that Reuben does and goes through….some of the nuts and bolts had already started to corrode, but that did stop Reuben! He got out his tools and cleaned them up to almost as new! Here’s some pics of finished product, notice how detailed clean it is and not like a flour bag!
  6. +2. Why risk your own or your bike's saftey over a few oz on the wheel. Only takes a few minutes for good peace of mind.
  7. Whos hosting this one? Pm me some infos!
  8. I was leaning on going to one of those dates also. Just not sure which one, and FYI...its 2pm-8pm instead of the 9-5
  9. As I know you wouldn't just make another unsupported assumption, I'm sure you were there to watch what happened before posting about what officers did. Did a lot happen in 2 minutes....sure did. But call around and get the average response time for your local police agency's and see what they tell you. A lot happened in about 20 seconds, doesn't mean that anyone could have stopped it. Especially when there were only really about 4? people in the room and the suspect had two guns. Doesn't take long with the advantage of suprize to shoot a lot of people before anyone could react. Was I there when it happened...No. I was there working with the officers that did respond, worked on the report and guarded the crime scene for 8.5 hours. I saw the aftermath and the run down of how it happened and watched the clean up of the blood and brains. Your just going off skewed information from surfing the net and trying to gather what the media will provide you...after they twist it into something everyone will watch. Cause I am pretty sure I didn't see you there today. And my heart goes out to the family of the fallen. Many of us knew him and he was a great guy who's life came to an end due to an idiot that couldn't do his job well enough and decided to take it out on the boss over an evaluation. And this will be my last post on the thread, as I'm sure your expertise in everything will be able to fill everyone else in on how to save themselves and not do anything wrong.
  10. Sounds good! Though the PH on Lane at lunch can have some nasty effects. (from experiance!) Fly Pie is my fav for local pizza's. But theres lots of options at least!

  11. Haha, today would not be a good day for that. I work 9a-5p now with Weds/Thurs off now, so just let me know a date and time!

  12. You really make me laugh. You don't get what you want, so you just try to attack me. I don't think anywhere in my post I said I was an expert. I don't believe anyone is an "expert" as more just very proficient. You just make assumptions and try to validate your own beliefs. O-well, I'm not going to comment any more on this thread as its not worth my time. And as for what I do outside my job is my own business. I'm accountable for what I do and if I am wrong I admit it and take it like anyone else. Obviously, you surfing the internet has made everyone safer.... As for where...I can't say due to policy, and no I'm not hiding behind it. As this is a public forum and this is the hot news, my arse would be sent to the wolfs for commenting. Would it be possible if a civilian was there, maybe. Would a civilian actually be there, very doubtful in this case, due to specific place and time. I doubt it. I probably didn't take the report, but stereo's are very hard to find due to the BS in columbus. Either sold street side or shady pawn shops.
  13. Unlike other people that actualy know me and would ask, you take the retort of an idiot and it shows. Maybe the fact that I'm an OSU Police Officer...I think I know what I'm talking about. You can catch the news release at 11 for updates. And when something like this happens in an enclosed area within seconds, most people aren't going to have time to react when rounds are coming at you already. Its been studied and researched already and proven. Even with a classroom of students saying they could stop a gunman. They all got killed and stated that they weren't prepared mentally for it or that they coudn't get to their weapon quick enough. Its a very sad that this happened yes. That one retard followed what others have done in a path of violence and death.
  14. And how would anyone else having a gun of helped? I already know what happened, but obviously, I can't and won't say.
  15. Worked 9a-11p yesterday, and doing the same today....so definitely not riding. And probably won't tomorrow as my feet will be killing me and I'll be craving beer and tylenol.
  16. Corsa III's were good for me up to fast intermediate/advanced, but thats about where I cut the line. I would wear through one in two days....and by the end of the 2nd day I was losing a lot of confidence in it due to it want to break lose. As for suspension set-up, most trackdays have a suspension setup person there. They can set your sag and rebound stuff for about $80. Depending on the org, be careful though. I had Superbike Suspension set mine up at CMP and it almost caused me to wreck due to no damping. Thankfully Rueben diagnosed and fixed this for me in only a few minutes for free. Depending on your pace and setup, I would suggest either 2CT, Pures, or Corsa 3's. I'm sure Monte or Brian can give the best advise though.
  17. I felt really bad when I got to Rueben's with my bike. The blizzard pretty much trashed it even with the cover on it. I have seen the light and are in the market for an enclosed trailer now. To bad they cost an arm & leg for anything decent. ($2k+) Wish I was brave enough to try taking a motor out like that. But kodo's to you B!

  19. Thanks for all the help and offer guys. I got ahold of John last night and will be visiting him after work today. Got on the sprockets last night so getting the chain on is one of the last things! Yay for almost being finished!
  20. I can do that and free beer included! But work till 3pm at OSU is the downside.
  21. Wanting to see if anyone in the Columbus area has a chain tool for a rivet. I'm wanting to really finish up the bike this week if possible and I'm down to sprockets and the chain. I contacted Chris Calv but hes tied up with work till next week, so my alternative is to wait another week before getting this done. Willing to bring the bike to you and pay for use of the tool!
  22. Well, if it ends up just being you coming...I'd say come up with me. But I understand the Gf thing and so on. Let me know what you want to do when you figure it out.
  23. Well, I can always take a bike up with me and store/keep it on the trailer until Sunday. Then unload it at Gingerman on Sunday and come back that evening and unload at your house. Let me know. Regardless.....I will only be bringing one bike, so 1 rail left on the trailer for someone to use. And as for spectators, you'll prolly have to sign in at the gate for the liability stuff and maybe a small fee. Idk. But its not really an issue.
