  1. +1 I have talked and ordered with Jason (owner) for the majority of all my race bike parts. He is knowledgeable and willing to work with you and help you get what you need. He’s a sponsor on junkies and just noticed a post from him here the other day. (xtrmsbks) He has a great deal/sale on all Michelin tires through February if you’re looking for some. Keep in mind that other business might be a little cheaper due to bulk orders. But if you’re looking to get some good parts with some savings, he’s the man to talk to. Hopefully he will become a sponsor here and give us the hook-up also! And correct website is: http://www.xtrmsbks.com/store/home.php
  2. Thanks Jason. Glad to see you over on this site also!
  3. We both know what happened at CMP ...so don't make me bring out my 1000RR
  4. I voted 150 also! Which is still cheap for a Mid Ohio day. Normally $195.....
  5. Think our initial runs were around 102 starting with the premade map that I got from Dynojet. (knowing it would be off, but at least run) The bike was so rich, it might as well have been sending dollar bills out the exhaust pipe! We had a lot of -20s and a few -30s in there.
  6. Wanted to give a big thanks to Brian. We had scheduled today to map my new trackbike and he endured the cold and white death to come on out and tune it up for me. This bike we found out was very temp sensitive and a sever pain to tune unfortunately. But....4 hours later he came up with a map and made the best of what my bike could be! If you guys need someone to tune your bike or want some dyno runs to see where you stand. Brian is the one to contact!
  7. Finally got some of the parts on her..and off!. Tires, Air Filter, Full exhaust, Power Commander, Case Covers and radiator back on and running and PAIR removed. Sounded weak at first....then realized the stupid dB baffle was in it, so that came out in a hurry! Now it sounds good! Just waiting on the shock to get delivered Monday along with some misc spare parts. Things to do this week: Get with a friend to break the chain and install new one+sprockets. Schedule a tune/mapping session with DTM Brian and get my plastics off for paint with Paul. Schedule a time with Reuben to get the suspension installed and setup. Find money for more tires I'll add pics when I get home of how the progress went and what it looks like. Sexy 30mm Kit LV header Hotness Carbon Can Coming Back Together
  8. Jason over at xtrmsbks.com is the man. I ordered about all of my new race bike stuff from him at a heck of a price! I will be doing most of business from him in the future. Tires idk, still chewing back and forth on Power One's and BT003's.
  9. The stock on my 1000rr was hard as a plank...and after 30-45min by arse hurt. I bought the corbin and could do like 4 hours+ no problem. My body would start to get sore before my butt would.
  10. We need to start picking some dates so I know what I can make
  11. Got everything in yesterday that I need to start putting on the exhaust and stuff for the tune. (PC3, Exhaust rings) Hopefully this weekend I can figure out how to piece it all together and need to give you a call for at time.
  12. As soon as I can call Reuben to install them. The Penske 8987 triple should be arriving Friday. Had it setup by Thermosman before it shipped to me, but will still have Reuben look at it. Got both parts for like $25 over cost total
  13. And I can tell you I didn't see my shadow!
  14. Damnit! I thought I slipped by for another year But it was good. Got some decent gifts and went out to eat with the folks. Best part was when the UPS guy arrived with my new Ohlins 30mm kit. Happy B-day to myself!
  15. Yeah they did And I believe Conti pays better conting this year is why several are changing over.
  16. I just did this myself over the week for the most part. Get some good quality Titanium bits or Carbon. I tried the standard ones and they just don't work very well. I don't have many tools...so I used a pair of vice grips on the bolts and fixed it up and a 3/32 ti bit and some motor oil for cutting lube. I started with taking everything loose and torquing it back to spec. Then took a sharpy and marked where each bolt would need drilled correctly on each side. Then took a starter punch and dented the bolts.(This really does make it easier). Then drill through slowly so you don't get too much heat. When doing the concave bolts, just drill through on each side. I tried going all the way through once and snapped the bit quickly as it just bends the bit upwards. All in all, it took maybe 30mi for (4) pinch bolts, front axle nut, rear axle+nut, radiator cap, oil filter hook-up point, oil drain plug. If you want to buy the set, I believe Ed Bargy sells kits on his site for around $30-40.
  17. Depends on which ones you are talking about. Piliot Power, Power 2CT, Pure or BT-003, 15,16. The new power pures are like $250/set shipped I think. Hard price to beat.
  18. Visa...from buying bike parts.
  19. Think you mean Chris over in Gahanna (motorcycle wishlist)? Thats who I always use, and yes...its $20/tire off bike. I can get the # also if you want.
  20. Good starter list there! Add these also -Sit on it and check for alignment. Make sure the front wheel is straight for when the bars feel straight for you. If its not, thats an indication of either an accident and something major is bent. -Make sure the throttle moves easily and doesn't stick. Same with Brake and Clutch levers. -Make sure to start the bike and it runs fine. Test throttle with a little blip. Make sure all electrical works (Cluster, Signals etc) and no FI/error code lights.

  22. Yeah, was just pointing to the fact that one has to be mindful of state and city laws. But I'm with the 'she layed it on" crew myself and was probably a bit to aggressive.
  23. Try looking up Columbus City Code 2131.32A. Unncecessary Sounding of Horn. (a) No person shall sound any horn or other signal device on any motor vehicle or motorcycle except as a warning of danger. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
  24. Haven't been home in a while, wish the freaking bike was operational 8(
