  1. I ain't ridin Putnam with Reuben again. He likes to pass me on the inside of 3 then outside of 4... It is I tell you. If I ain't heading to Nashville I would be up for it though. Maybe we can get Flounder to put is bottle down, and man up and make a showing. But I doubt it.
  2. Yeah I had 51mm total sag in the rear and my front was good around 30mm. I may see if I can get Carr to order me a longer inlet for the Ohlins, since as it stands I can't add any Rear Ride height since it is at the limit now.
  3. I was looking at Schwantz school, but only weekend i have open to do it on his schedule is June 30 July 1st. Well I got the rear spring changed down at Talladega (rear sag was 20mm more then it needed to be) and the front felt more responsive mid corner. So i guess 20mm of change in sag will negate the feel of the difference in tire size. Can't complain about the bridgestones though. The still feel controllable once I started to pic it up. Yeah Drew you will probably pick up a good second or more at Mid OH with 25 more HP.
  4. If Vermuelen and Capirrossi can get the bike working good, I wouldn't be surprised to see Spies up at least with those two and maybe in the top 10 at either race. He goes really good at Laguna and the Indy round will be all up to him to learn the track with the others.
  5. Yeah he will be riding a GSVR-800 not his GSXR 1000 superbike. I wonder if he will be running Dunlops or Bridgestone....
  6. I'll never forget on one of the Fast Bikes Videos I had ("How to pull wheelies and influence people") showed Shakey Byrne doing a wheelie on a Scooter from the Airport to the Hotel 10 miles. Even at stop lights and signs he would just hold the front up, stop then start again.

    New guy

Welcome, so are you the other Crazy Mofo who rides in 28 degrees at night????
  8. Toe sliders were always lit up for Troy Bayliss. That is one guy I could pick him out of a line up of photos of racers all on the same bike. His form is very unique for some reason.
  9. I have been lucky touching down on the 600 with the Vortex (mainly last corner at Nelson) but those touches were due to poor BP and poor throttle input. I touched the peg down on the 1k this weekend in the Decreasing at Tally. Again poor BP and throttle application. Peg is how I lost my 01 Gix 1k at Putnam in 2003. The bikes rear will lift off the ground if the peg is down enough and riders stands on the pegs like Retard...
  10. Thanks, I promise to scare the shit out of myself many times on the back straight kinks on this beastly 1000.
  11. Damn I will never look at Google. the same way.
  12. Just hit a trackday last weekend... Woot
  13. If they had trackdays at Mugello, Valencia, Donnington, that tour i would so go for.
  14. I plan on doing some Weekend Col rides with them Yahoos.. But stay away from Flounder and Yota... They is sketchy
  15. Ah,, Bump pad... that is a new Exhaust emblem....
  16. Kind of what i though for number of runs. Yeah about an hour 1/2 to install probably is what it will take for guys at pro stock. ( 2 hrs for me at least)....
  17. They are still charging $150 to tune and $250 to install and tune. How many runs with a sniffer should it take to to get them on. 3-5 range?
  18. With shop labor rates of $65-80 /hr it is hard to get out for under $200. I still think shops are charging a base rate, not the amount of time it takes for some tasks. Heck some shops still try to charge $30 or more to change a tire, even with the full powered Tire machines. I can have tires changed with my No Mar in about 5-10 minutes and add 5 minutes to balance. At $80 /hr that would only be $20. But just let me know.
  19. Hey Flounder and Yota, I forgot. To rub it in. I rode the track this weekend
  20. I will install it, and I got a pickup to take it down to Pro Stock to let them tune. I think if we take it down without the gas tank tune will probably be in the range of $100-$150 sound about right Lizard?
  21. Rueben?? I can help get it to him if needs be.. Or if she wants I can put the Kit in. Instructions in the kit shouldn't be to hard. But I wouldn't be able to do do the tunning, but Pro Stock down on Harrison could tune it.
  22. First time up it I was chasing a old SRAD GSXR 750. I was mezmerized by the sound. The best sound I have ever heard.....
  23. Old Colerain hill
  24. + + , ah heck I +1000 that. Kind of what I was going to get to once we knew which brand DJ it was. As I said the DynoJet requires widening of the holes in the Carbs with a drill (all drill bits provided though) where the Factory Pro tunning kit I believe just has couple sets of needles and clips. If you really want the bike to run true and the best of it's ability then I would take Lizard up, and get the name of the person with a dyno, as that is the only way to get them set where they need to be for the bike. Because even though you put the kits in they may need to be taken out and adjusted.
