If you are interested in an 05/06, you should really consider the 07/08 as they are not much more money, but are heads and shoulders better in terms of handling. Power is similar, but more smooth and precise. Honestly, the 07/08 is overall better than the 09/10/11s in my opinion. I think the 09/10/11s were better handling, but the power delivery was softer and lacked the bottom end the 07/08s had... Anyways, just an idea. I know you listed two specific bikes. I just thought to suggest the 07/08 more... As for the ego, just disregard. They are amazing bikes and just like anything else, your right wrist and brain can get you in trouble on a Ninja 250 just as easily as a 1000... Buy what you want - not what others have a misconception over...

Guys, a few things on trailers. We've owned several and know a few things to look for. Ebay trailers are nice enough for a casual user, but look closer at the frame rails and the size and thickness of the metal. Look at the axle types, the thickness of the wood flooring, the way they rivet and how many they use, the way the lay the seams and what direction they are in (For example, are the laying over sheets seam facing towards the front or back?), etc.? The Pace being advertised is a solid trailer with a great build. It's honestly worth maybe a little less, but if he doesn't really need to sell it, I understand the amount. I'd say it is worth $1700, but again, $2k isn't a stretch. Anyways, GLWS.

Great bike, man. What color did you end up getting? Good price also? New or used? You'll really enjoy that rear suspension they have. It is really great on braking downhill over bumpy terrain. You are in Marion so, if you ever head to Alum Creek, shoot me a PM and I can meet you. I'm in Galion.

frame and swing arm sliders? what to get?
Moto-Brian replied to Gixxus Christ!'s topic in Daily Ride
For tip overs, they work. Otherwise, you'll damage the bike more than without if the bike slides off pavement... If you tip bikes over in the garage a lot, good choice to buy. Otherwise, buy some fuel for your rides as it is worth more to buy... -
Was actually going to post the same exact link!! Pretty decent component group. Personally, I would suggest doing what Adam did and go to the local shop and see what they have for left overs or demo bikes. There are just too many good left over deals out there. Focus on Trek, Fisher or Specialized for DS bikes in that price range. All are Taiwan made, but typically some of the better frame sets. The components are what separate the price levels. For example, the link is for a bike with LX components which are perfectly fine, but a bike with XT components will have the same frame, but better components... Anyways, any questions, give me a hollar!

OK, my son is too big for this bike and we cannot keep it if he wants an 85... I'd like to keep it and turn it tard and have something for him at CRP, but not sure if that is in the cards. We will see the interest in it and go from there... 2003 RM65. Same as the KX65 and in fact, we bought it simply because he didn't want the green frame!! Serious. They are identical and outside the frame color and the red rear spring the RMs had, it is literally a KX. It was when Kawasaki and Suzuki merged for a while and the MX and play bikes were shared. Bike is solid. Was never raced or hammered. He learned on it, rode it rarely and we now have land and he is too large for the bike. It has original yellow plastic on it now, but will come with brand new white plastic with Monster Energy decals. We have a spare set of bars also. Also comes with some new Blue Rims. We were going to make them the tard wheels, but also was wanting to do something crazy weird in terms of color with the white plastic. He wanted to be different. We changed the OEM wheels for black ones and put on new sprockets and gold chain. Has a newer air filter, Michelin Starcross tires. Pictures are as it sits in the barn right now. I can put on the new white plastic and shoot pics if need be. The white stuff looks awesome with the black wheels... Asking $900 with everything. Will also include the OEM silver hoops also. I have a spare set of levers also. Here are some pics: Would make a great tard for a young pup or use it as it was designed and MX the thing. Great starter bike due to the fact that these aren't as aggressive as the KTM 65. I can put it in the van and meet anyone that would like to look at it.

New retina display, new processor, new camera, probably Siri.

They are saying the 7th of March. Also, I think Best Buy has already begin discounting the iPad 2 $50... That's a sign that the new one is already here or close. We are a week away... Hang tight, dude. Buy new. Or, at least buy one from Best Buy that's discounted or a refurb. I've bought a few iPods refurbed and they were perfect and worked great. In fact, gave one to my son and he still uses it and I use the other one when I MTB bike as I don't worry if it gets damaged...

Just wait for the 3, man. It's supposed to be a good jump up and will be about the same as a used one will go really... I've been waiting because I wanted to get the newest one...

So now we are all arrogant. Nice... You're a total tool bag, dude. I get it. I suspect that when you are dead and gone, not too many people will even know or care. Probably just the way you'd want it... Sad.

You should have seen it after I picked it up. It had done a few "flips" if you will...

Wow... So, anybody that runs a decal to remember a friend, family member, hero, someone they looked up to, etc is a stupid thing to do? You're a pretty cold dude and obviously never seen someone die in front of you, never had a fallen friend you cannot ever forget or maybe even had someone like Quay that I put decals on everything I have who would have thought the idea was awesome and would have been all about it. I'll tell his older brother it is stupid he runs the decals on his helmet and bike also...

One of my favorite years of 750s... I have some odds and ends sitting around the house you can have if you'd like. I know a set of throttle bodies and some other things like race pads, etc... If you ever need any help, give me a holler... I even have set up notes and such...

So, we racers that run Lenz, Sic, Nixon, etc decals are stupid? I think that's a bit of a stretch. I think people that pay memory to those they enjoyed watching, lived with, were family or friends of, etc are awesome. I run decals as seen here for a fallen family friend of a boy that fought a hard battle with a disease that took him from us all too early. Am I stupid for making this decal???

I stand on both sides... I think it can be somewhat therapeutic to read the threads as many of times, people who DO know the fallen, chime in with decent stories or memories that make us smile, etc. Again, if you know the rider... However, I also find it strange that people post RIP Fallen Rider who never knew them, never even rode the stretch of rode or even had a similar incident or knew someone who passed in a similar way. When we see fallen riders like my memory of Simoncelli and Gary Nixon. I talked and had some funny memories of Nixon. I feel we lost a hero of sorts and a colorful character that makes up this sport. I also feel terrible to see a fallen fellow racer as I have seen a few of these first hand and feel we tend to have loss in our sport that leave us with a hole and a void that never seems to get filled. Ever... I run Lenz and Sic decals to remind me that they had passion and had a shortened life and we missed some truly amazing, yet to come experiences... We mourn our heros. We mourn our family and to some, I guess, family can be someone you didn't know. I personally think that if there are Fallen Riders sections, etc., that they are simply postings and locked. Purely for reminder, maybe a note that someone passed and maybe it helps inform others that knew that person. If famous, I think the posting can be made and allow for responses. They are famous and tend to touch us all in ways that speak to our hearts or our passions for the sport. Dunno... Or, just have people post stories of positive memories to keep the spirit alive... If people respond with comments that they should have acted differently, shouldn't have done what they did, etc then that is fine also. Truth sucks at times and unfortunately, if you do something stupid, get killed and even possibly harm others, why are RIP threads even posted? I think if you post a RIP thread, it should be due to a tragedy, not ignorance...

Not sure where the second bolts are? I only have seen one per lever on the adjustment part? Are you referring to the bolt for the fold up application? That isn't typically an issue and can/should be safety wired anyways so, no worries on the nut being lost, etc... But, the shorty is for guys that like the feel of an almost MX lever feel. Shorter throw if you will... You can push your standard (what I do) inward to avoid hitting the ground as such. I don't mind shorty on brakes, but have found I prefer the long/standard length for feel and modulation. Shorty on clutch sucks monkey nuts... My opinion of course... I just want to hear about the impact part and how they crash. I read they are tested by AMA racers and just wanna hear what was tested and who runs them... Again, interested and like the detail. I would like to see the fit and finish on a bike and such. I'd consider a set to try I suppose... The concept is cool - I'll say that much.

It was already a built motor, though... Just a refresh then or did he do superbike stuff? -
What team has "track tested" them in AMA? The concern I have over the Vortex, CRG, etc are the fact they are two pieces. When crashing, the small bolt setup looks to be the weakest link. Yes, $10 replacement, but will break in a fall almost easily. If you do not have spares, you could be swinging without a bat. Where, with a CRG setup or similar, they can be possibly bent (I know the CRGs I have used have been crashed on, bent slightly, but due to great workmanship, they did not break and were able to be used rest of the weekend) and still be used. Of course, replacement for a CRG is pretty damn expensive. These are a great alternative, but would like to see who is using them and what the results have been. Interested in trying them out, but honestly, anytime we mess with brakes and levers and I see two pieces with a screw holding it together, I get worried... Any test results and reviews?

Did he hand paint the pinstripes?

Posting for a friend. PM me for his contact info for direct contact and more info. This is a 2007 CRF450 that has been meticulously maintained. He is an avid rider and is a really great guy. Just simply looking to upgrade to a new bike this year. I believe that he has some extras to go with it, but have been riding with him numerous times and this thing is in awesome shape. Has the typical case cover wear from boots, etc. Everything is straight and true. Asking $3200 OBO. Pretty damn fair price in my mind.

Seem cheap, but look to be able to be used to get the job done. Here is a link where you can get some things OSF related: http://xpcycles.com/

I literally have only had one dealership closed on Wednesdays... Most shops if they close 2 days a week (very common) are closed on Mondays.
